Hands down best Chinese I’ve ever had anywhere. They’re quick friendly and deliver! Orange chicken is the bomb

Chans was the go to place for my family when we wanted good food. Lately the service has started to lack. Very rude employees and managers. The food has started to slowly go from amazing food to food that does not taste any better than frozen food. I have eaten at this establishment for the last time. Save yourself the trouble and find something better to eat.

Excellent food! The portions are HUGE which is good considering the price. The staff was friendly and quick. Will be coming here when I’m craving Chinese!

Ordered chicken fried rice and beef and broccoli. Chicken tasted weird and sauce on beef wasn’t good. The sauce had a really bad after taste. They also messed up my order and the cashier wasn’t apologetic about it. She was kind of rude. On top of that I saw a cook in the back blow his nose and continue to work without washing his hand. I won’t be coming back.

I can say this is the best Chinese fast food you’ll find in dallas. Although the cashier staff is a little bad since I stopped working here (not patting myself on the back on anything) the food is exceptional. My go to order is the combo lo mein with 1 $ egg added; spicy. Best you’ll ever find. The combo fried rice is delicious as well too and I added garlic to that (personal preference). Usually don’t add beef on both cause I don’t like the beef they use but everything else is good.

Unfortunately this place has gone down over the years. Not sure if it was a change of owner or just the employees don’t care. Food is below average now use to be a weekly stop for us.

This was once my go to source for really good Chinese food. However, the food quality has gone down hill in the last couple of years. It seems that when they renovated with a terrible mix of industrial meets tacky Chinese bric-​à-​brac, they neglected to make sure their food quality was up to par. My favorite was the Teriyaki shrimp, which just taste so unappealing now. The shrimp were dried and over cooked and the seasoning hasn’t bee the same since my last few visits, back in late 2014. Other dishes are just okay. I once brought friends their with me to eat but no more. What a drag! Maybe I’ll try the one on Beltline near Interstate 30 and see if it is like the Chan’s I once loved. I hope they read their reviews here and get the magic back.

They forgot our food and tried to say it was our fault. The manager told us not to come back. Fine we won’t be coming back to this chans or the new one.

This food deserves at least a 5 star rating. I ordered on the phone for delivery to our home. I had ordered Sweet n’ Sour Chicken for me and Seseme’ Chicken for my son and he also wanted a bowl of sweet n sour sauce so I ordered one for him. We also each got an eggroll and a fortune cookie with our meals, which is pretty customary with most Chinese restaurants. But I just can’t say enough how delicious our food was. And the price was awesome as well. We had lunch sizes and the bill came to just $ 14.61 before I added the tip. I think that’s an excellent deal for such delicious Chinese food. I will be ordering again real soon.

Ok, I’ve been coming to Chan’s since it beginning. It was the best Chinese food (I know cause I’m Chinese) around town. I enjoyed it for years. Really authentic food, and so/​so service. (it’s counter service). But over the last few years, it has really gone downhill. So much that I just don’t bother anymore. I’ve been disappointed too many times. Let’s hope that the old way of doing things comes back. Ya’ll let me know if it does. I love this place but I won’t buy mediocre to bad Chinese food anymore.

I was very hesitant about ordering from Chan’s because several years ago I ordered here and the food was flat out awful. The reason I ordered from here today was because I heard they were under new management and because I read a lot of positive reviews online.
When I called, I asked if they had any kind of dish with spicy cabbage. The young girl on the phone told me there wasn’t anything like this so I decided to go with the twice cooked pork, sesame chicken and hot and sour soup. Whenever I order Chinese food, I love to have variety and I love to have leftovers to take to work.
The young lady said that it would arrive in about 40 minutes then we ended the phone call.
While I was waiting, I kept thinking that I should have ordered from another place and I was very tempted to call back and cancel the order but I didn’t. After a while, I checked the time and it was an hour and 15 minutes since placing my order. I was about to call and ask where my food was when the doorbell rang.
I took my food and signed the receipt. I was a little annoyed that my food was late and I was so sure that the food would be cold by now. I sure was wrong!
They gave me huge portions that were steaming hot and fresh. As soon as I took a bite of the sesame chicken I was hooked! This sesame chicken was some of the BEST sesame chicken I have ever had! I then tried the twice cooked pork. OMG! I was in Chinese food nirvana for sure! The twice cooked pork was AMAZING — beyond belief delicious! I wanted to try the hot and sour soup but I just did not have room for any more food. I will have that for dinner tonight at work. By the way, there was so much food, I have enough to make 4 or 5 meals of all of it AND it was under $ 20 for everything!
I am so pleasantly surprised and delighted and I am so glad I gave Chan’s a second chance. From this point forward, this is going to be my go-​to Chinese food place. If you have not tried them, you absolutely HAVE to! I can not rave enough about how good this food is! Thank you Chan’s for such a delicious meal.

This place is horrible! They delivered cold food and when we called to complain the owner was VERY rude and stated they will no longer deliver to us! The driver was also very rude when the food was dropped off! Will not spend another dime there!!!

Placed several large to-​go orders since 2002. On two occasions discovered my order was wrong after I got home. Tonight will be the last time they get my business. They added an extra entrée to my ticket that sounded like nothing I ordered. The Mgr stated to return with un-​eaten item and then I would get a refund. Call me unreasonable, but I don’t like to waste my time, energy, and gas for something the restaurant should hv been on top of. Two trips made to Chan’s restaurant just to indemnify my wallet (of $ 7.85), is not great customer service. I expressed how I didn’t want to make a 2^nd trip due their error and it fell on deaf ears. They could care less that they just lost a long-​time customer over $ 7.85! And their food is only average!

I couldn’t agree more with Jessica W. I’ve been coming to Chans since I was about 12 years old, and they have been really disappointing lately. I’m 26 now and the food is way below average. I don’t know if there was a change of management or what but I WANT THE OLD CHAN’s back!
The only reason I give them a 3 is because I still have hope and they have the best crispy noodles ever (even though there’s not much to a fried wonton wrapper cut into strips). Would I try them? Yes! But not the chicken dishes!

It’s a high 3. You can see the cooks preparing the food, and it’s always served quickly. 3 tv’s inside and a easy to read menu.

The last time couple time I have been here, I have been disappointed. They forgot my sauce so I had to go back up there after the delivered. And they got out order completely wrong. And when I went back they stared at me like I was crazy.

I’m really writing this review to get the rating back up on this place. I’ve lived right next to it my whole life and have never had a bad experience. This place should never get 1 or 2 stars. Portions are huge, flavor is great (especially the sesame chicken), and the people are nice enough.

This place has average food, at best.
Nothing worth going out of your way for.
The restaurant was clean enough, and the service fast & friendly enough; but just lower end all around.
I will more than likely look for others places next time I’m in the area.
