Five Guys Burgers and Fries

They’re pretty expensive for burgers so it gets knocked down a peg. My latest order was 1 bacon cheeseburger, 1 small hamburger, and 1 medium fry. That totaled to just under $ 17.
But these burgers are delicious. And the fries are the freshest ever made!
I think the only other items on the menu are hotdogs and fountain drinks. The choices are very limited.
Peanuts are free!

Burgers ar every good, but very expensive. Staff is overly friendly but place seems dirty. I am a sucker for the burgers though.

Asked for my burger on a lettuce wrap and he asked if I had an allergy (I do). He made sure the cooks knew and took precautions for me (without me asking!). The food is made to order and consistently good.

Very disappointed that it cost 2 people over $ 25 for a burger, fries, and a drink. The food is very good, the fries are awesome, but it’s just too pricey in this economy for a burger joint. It would cost over $ 50 to feed a family of 4!

Have to say that the food here is always great! Everything is fresh! You get a lot of food for your money! One fry between two people will do it! Always a great staff!

Good food and a fun restaurant experience. Friendly staff, clean and busy, busy, busy. We were taken here by a couple locals and were glad we came.

As good as it gets. Make sure you are hungry when you go there. The burgers are fresh and huge and the small fries were a paper bag half full.

Friendly service from the cashiers, cooks, and even the chickadee sweeping up the peanut shells. I was pretty disappointed in the burnt, over-​priced French fries, but the burger was decent. I enjoyed the atmosphere and food better in the Waterford Lakes Plaza in Orlando, to be honest, though.

wow, this was the first time Ive been here, a burger, small fries and drink was $ 14.00 and we had a 15 minute wait for our food, I wasnt impressed, $ 1 more and I could of went to red lobster all you can eat shrimp, I wont be going back…

It’s a chain, so you know what to expect going in if you’ve been to any other Five Guys before.
That said, it’s an extremely good chain. I’ve always had fantastic burgers & fries from any Five Guys I’ve tried. This Merritt Island location is no different. It’s worth the extra few bucks over, say, a Burger King or Wendys burger & fries meal. Absolutely worth it. Five Guys is in another league when it comes to fast food burger places.
I love that they only do a few things… but they do them WELL.

Pretty good burger joint but a little overpriced. Sort of reminds me of In & Out Burger on the west coast. My only disappointment was they don’t offer a military discount. But that seems to be the case most places around here. I would’ve given them 5 stars if they did. But anyway, if your looking for a good quick burger & fries, come to Five Guys. You can almost hear your left ventricle slamming shut!!!

Best burger I have gotten since been in Florida. Nothing steamed or sitting in a warmer like McDonald. Yuk. Very juicy well done. All toppings are free. Will be back

Look, if you crave a seriously good burger, toppings of your choice, fresh fries, and a Coke this is the place. Burgers, dogs, grilled cheese, or just veggies on a bun. Simple done very well!

If you want a decent gourmet boutique type burger save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. This is run of the mill Fast Food Burger… however, Who is drinking the Koolaid on this Unilocal board… THESE BURGERS ARE SIMILAR (tasted exactly the same) TO WENDY’S BURGET PATTY’S…they are «okay burgers — not subpar — and not great»…very disappointed. From the boards I was expecting something with a little more taste. It’s bland and tasted EXACTLY like a Wendy’s Burger Patty.
FRIES: 4.0
The fries are very good — very similar to the New York Fries Company so give that a 4 as they are cut fresh and made from real potato. They have malt vinegar you can put on them also (nice touch). Fresh cut and the malt vinegar touch have given this a 4.0 scoring
BURGER: 3.0
Now for the Burger: .toppings are sparse (i had grilled onion’s, and grilled Mushroom, and grilled Green Peppers… but it was like half a teaspoon of each topping was put on the burger)…and the A1 Sauce I couldn’t taste it on the burger, but I know they put it on, as there was reminants of the A1 Sauce… for over $ 10 for a burger, fries and a drink you expect them NOT to skimp on the toppings… ridiculous. (Skimpy toppings, run of the mill patty I am giving this a 3.0)
STAFF and CLEANLINESS
Friendly and efficient 4.5 (Counter person excellent, and when burger is ready they call your number nice and loud so you can hear clearly your burger is done)
DRINKS
Refills included 5.0 (perfect for those thirsty moments), however you are certainly paying for the refills the drinks aren’t cheap, not expensive either but certainly the cost being over $ 12 for burger, fries and drink means you are paying for those refills.
PARKING
Ample parking 5.0
Now I have tried a 5 Guys… I won’t be trying one again. I will save those calories for something that is a LOT more flavourful.
These burgers are truly just run of the mill burger at a gourmet burger price their portion control on the toppings is stingy… total dregs on the burger, a sprinkle of this, and a sprinkle of that… for $ 12+ one expects a bit more toppings.

Good as usual. My wife and I have been here before and this time was no difference than the last. Very good!
I thought I would try the hot dogs. I wasnt dissappointed. They were very good. She had a junior burger which was about the size of other places normal size burgers.
Trust me, you get more than enough to ea at this place and you can have it made with the toppings you want.

The best fast food burger I have ever had, in fact it might be the best burger I’ve had while sitting in a car EVER. The menu here is limited, for instance I couldn’t get an ice cream or a shake but after eating that burger I stopped caring. Can’t wait to go back and try the fries.

Typical 5GB&F fare. Small location and poor parking take it from 4 stars to 3 stars. Park at the Office Depot lot behind it.

Dare I say, the gold standard when it comes to fast food burgers? It does make one of the better burgers in my humble opinion and they do pile on the fries. And the employees are weirdly-​friendly (nice corporate training). But the burger is most definitely good. Now that there is one not far from my workcation in Florida, I’ll be here at least twice a week! I just wish the patties/​burger had a larger circumference. When I want a burger I want beef!!!
And who wouldn’t like all you eat peanuts???

This place only has a few things on the menu — but what they do have is done very well, burgers and fries… Like the previous reviewer mentioned, the ambiance is loud and frantic, but they seem organized enough to serve a lot of people and get the food out quickly even when busy. But this isn’t your typical fast-​food joint, and I would rate it much higher than your normal drive-​through. The toppings are fresh and plentiful and the quality of the ingredients seems to be good.
A few things worth mentioning: The self-​serve soda machine has a lot of flavor options such as vanilla, lime, and raspberry. There are fresh peanuts in the ordering line, which you can snack on while you are waiting for your meal to arrive. The «regular» cheeseburger has double the patty, and the «little» burger has a single. The «Cajun» fries are heavily seasoned. There is also great classic-​rock playing on the speakers inside and outside and the place is loud. I would definitely come here again and recommend this to all burger lovers — but be prepared to eat!

I’ve only been the Five Guys in Tampa before eating here, and the experience was identical. This isn’t a bad thing, that’s what folks want out of a food chain experience. The food was served quickly and the burger was very good. For those two elements (the actual definition of FAST FOOD) we’ll give it four stars. The reason I won’t eat here too often is because of the noise level. This won’t bother a lot of folks, but the music was loud, so the patrons sitting next to each other in the small and crowded place had to speak loudly, which didn’t help much… as they had to then speak even louder. And then there was the shouting between the register and the cooks, which was necessary so they could hear above the ambient noise.
The burger quality was a bit above the new Wendy’s burger, but the meat wasn’t as thick. The condiments, though, seemed more robust than your standard fast food. They have a full beverage you-​serve machine and FRESH brewed iced tea. Yay! I like a good burger, and for five stars that means being able to order a ‘medium’ burger, so my favorite burger in the area is still at El Cantina (or on my own grill). Also, the cheese is American. For five stars you need a good thick cheddar.
No drive through? You’re located on 520, if you want to get some beach traffic, you gotta have a drive through! No combos either, so a burger with fries and a drink will be costing you ten bucks.
If I eat here again, it’ll be take out, but some people may like a crazy, loud environment.
