Food is usual pretty good. The 4 star is because I ordered hash brown and got home fries but I’m not too picky… It was still great. I love the atmosphere. It’s the type of local place where you can chit chat with a stranger.

I enjoy coming to the DW Diner occasionally. The 6am-2pm hours limits how often I can visit. I usually have to visit early Weekday mornings. The food is very good, I’ve tried a large variety of meals and can’t think of one thing that I haven’t enjoyed. There are always a lot of regulars and the long-time staff knows what they are doing. Portions are generous and you can get some big meals, and there’s a lot of variety. If I ever get to visit during their lunch hours, I hope to be able to try some of their lunch dishes. I heard the Shepard’s pie is extremely good.

Not a diner-car diner, but a diner-ish place. - This is a nice, clean restaurant that looks like it’s been recently remodeled/expanded. I went in for lunch, and sat at the counter. The counter isn’t that big, maybe 10 seats. It wasn’t crowded at all when I went. - I ordered the shepherds pie, only to be told later that they had no mashed potatoes and couldn’t make it. The waitress was upset at the kitchen staff about it — «How come no one checks this stuff!?». I got a chicken tender sandwich instead, which was all right. - The sandwich was ok — crispy chicken, warm flatbread, nice dressing. Onion rings were big and not overly greasy. Ceasar side salad was nice. - I wasn’t blown away by the place, but I had an OK lunch. The food was good enough. The place could use some character, or some business, for that matter! - I’ll probably be back to try other items on the menu. —- * UPDATE * Their shepherd’s pie is AWESOME. It’s PERFECT. Huge portion, perfectly seasoned beef-corn-onion mix. Nice mashed potatoes on top covered in gravy — Oh man I’m getting hungry just typing this. THIS is the dish worth returning for. I love shepherd’s pie, and this might be the best one I’ve ever had! Excellent flavor — nicely done guys! I’ll be back!!!

We have tried DW Diner multiple times because it is a popular place, and every time we have left way less than impressed. The food isn’t very good, and they are way over-rated.

Ordered the hash and eggs… Asked for it BURNT. BURNITMEANSYOUBURNITUNTILITISCRISPYANDNOLONGERRESEMBLESALPODOGFOOD. My two eggs came out cold, but perfectly cooked, and the hash was bone cold and looked like it had just been slopped out of a can. GETITTOGETHER, DWDINER!!! If I have to send my food back one more time… You know WHAT is going to hit the fan… Supremely annoyed… Get a new kitchen team. It’s pretty basic to read an order and if it says BURNT– BURNTHE G$&@AMNHASH!!! Now my mom has finished her meal, and I am still waiting… And if the same eggs are on that plate. I am not paying for my meal!!! I’m walking out!!! WTF!!!

This place is clean. The food is good. The staff is friendly. I love going there. The only issue is the confusion of the second door and that the hostess station is at the other door. But once you figure it out you’re good!

First time ever I left a restaurant refusing my order. Ordered biscuits and gravy. It arrived yellow and fluffy Rancid. Waitress argued it was what we ordered rather than address the issue of the food. Other order for the table, waffle with blue berry’s and strawberries. Fruit frozen and crystallized.

This place came through for a New Year’s Day post hangover breakfast. Bonus points for the waitress offering Mimosas and the fact that they actually had a choice between a hash browns and home fries. Everything else was good for a typical breakfast: fried eggs, toast, bacon. My only complaint is I don’t live near this place.

Good consistent comfort food. Always busy for the right reasons. A little pricey but you wont leave dissapointed. Did not see anything that passed by my table that I would not like to try.

Just had breakfast there on a day off. ordered hash and eggs with wheat toast. $ 12 and change plus tip. The toast was good, 2 eggs over easy good but the hash was just okay… a spatula size serving, very thin, and seemed like it was out of a can. had a crust but no texture to actual hash and very little flavor. I was disappointed that for the price of this breakfast I thought it would be better than okay. couldn’t believe they charged $ 3.98 for a small orange juice. oh well. the diner world is changing.

Very clean and spacious. I do enjoy this place for a quick bite for breakfast, especially because it’s so convenient to my house. The parking can be a bit of a nightmare on a busy Saturday and Sunday. They have a good selection of breakfast foods and sandwiches, although I have never had their lunch food. Hollandaise and corn beef are both homemade. Hollandaise is a bit on the thin side, though. This is a great little spot to stop by and they have breakfast all day. I do wish they were open a little bit later but it being a breakfast place, I’m not complaining too much.

This local-centric spot offers typical American diner food for breakfast or lunch. Seating was ample with no wait, clean with standard décor. The omelette I ordered came with a different cheese than I requested. Considering I waited about 25 minutes for it, I said nothing. the eggs were that thin, folded griddle style, almost like a crêpe. I got a bad home fry, tasted like rancid fish. The food was pretty bland overall, and service took a wee bit too long. I most likely won’t be up that way for a while, and would try a new spot next time. I can see why the locals love it here, they are treated like royalty by the waitstaff.

+fairly clean, very busy, — certain booths couldn’t be used because the A/c leaked onto those spots which sucks when it’s a Sunday and it’s really busy –they don’t serve lunch at all on the weekends Onto my experience –sat at the counter after I was told not to take a space at a table because I was one person Ordered a water with lime –they only had lemon I ordered an eggs Benedict with regular bacon. +The eggs were cooked really well. — the hollandaise was SUPER salty. –the English was toasted instead of grilled which I have never seen so a Benny before. It made the whole thing very hard to cut –muffin and bacon were burned/over cooked. +I had the breakfast potatoes and they were actually really good. –couldn’t seem to get a refill on my water even if I was on fire. — waitress wasn’t very friendly either The people next to me at the counter never received half their meal and when they requested that it be removed from their bill the waitress refused until the whole counter started to make a fuss, then she took 2 $ off. Overall— not a good experience, for anyone.

Horrible staff and service. Waited for at least five minutes to be seated, looked off several times & ended up walking out. «Non-locals» not welcomed vibe. You’ve been warned.

Tired after a long day’s night of shrieking at Nightmare New England, we knew the piddly«continental breakfast» at the hotel would not do. Sandy-eyed, famished and thirsty we stumbled into the DW Diner. Got a giant booth that comfortably seated us all. Immediately had hot strong coffee and pot of tea for myself. Every meal ordered was spot on, even my weird little made up omelet. The home fries… let me tell you something. I know home fries. I have sampled home fries the world over. No one comes close to these fries, There should be sonnets written about these taters. They should have tween girls and pre-menopausal women screaming their name and waving hand-lettered signs. They should be guests on the Tonight Show. Full, rejuvenated, we started the six hour drive back. Every now and then someone would sigh longingly and we’d look over in sympathy. The home fries, we knew, would have to wait another year for Nightmare New England. And we count the days.

I had a great breakfast at the DW diner. I had the eggs Benedict. They make there own hollandaise sauce, fresh home fries. It was awesome. One of the best breakfast spots in southern NH. They also have a friendly wait staff.

Wonderful diner breakfasts and lunches, great portions and reasonable prices. The menu has the usual staples as well as some unique omelets and pancakes, and also a «lighter» menu. Friendly service and a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. I come here around once a month and am never disappointed. Yesterday my husband, sister-in-law and myself came in with my daughter. It was crowded and there was a short wait for a table, but the staff was still consistently friendly and polite. As usual, service was speedy and friendly, and yet we never felt rushed in spite of the line out the door! It happened to be my daughter’s 11th birthday, and when we told the owner it was her birthday, he went out of his way to make sure she had a wonderful breakfast. Our sweet waitress did the same. It really made her day even more special, so thank you, DW Diner!

Met a friend here for breakfast and waited in line for a booth. The prices were higher than I liked for diner food and it was simply ok. I was expecting 5 star and was a bit disappointed. Parking was easy but there are two entrances so I looped around to check in and put my name in for a table. The waitress was fast and very friendly. I got a check in offer for a soda but since it was morning I asked to see if I could get a coffee but it was a no go. Oh well. I do want to go back and give it another try.

I had to update this review based on my brother and his families experience on a recent visit to NH. He called me on the way over to my house and he asked what breakfast place I would recommend in the Nashua/Merrimack area… I suggested DW Diner knowing he was bring his wife and her 3 children(ages 12, 14 and 17) and knowing they’re picky West coast people. He called me immediately after eating and said the boy(12 years old) loved the food so much he ate everyone else’s leftovers. My brother, who is even pickier than me, said he enjoyed the meal very much and would like to go again. I’m still sticking to 4 stars but I can highly recommend DW Diner as one of the best breakfast locations in the Nashua/Merrimack area.
