STP is such a good store! I shop more online than I do in the store because the selection is significantly larger and I always find better deals! When I pick up our online orders, I end up doing some in-store shopping as well and have also come across good priced good quality items! They have a huge outdoor gear selection but really, anything you can think of! I’ve gotten some great ideas for Christmas gifts by just browsing their website. Since the STP, Marshall’s, HomeGoods/TJMaxx merger, their selection has gotten much better and it was already good to begin with! They have great brands at highly discounted prices! The sales staff is so friendly and always very helpful. Returns always take a while, even if it’s only a couple of items(3 stars for that) — I hope this improves. Parking is usually available right out front and weekdays are the least busy.

I love STP. I go there all the time. I just bought some shoes(Montrail Masochist trail shoes) for 40 bucks. They are $ 80 on Amazon. I also had to return a backpack that was too small and the staff was awesome. The Meridian store is excellent.

Great place to shop but the website has many more items than the store does. The summer tent sale is great though.

Four stars. I’ve been a loyal customer for several years now. The deals are fantastic. The sales are even better. The Winter and Summer Clearance and the Shoe Blow Out Sale are legendary. It’s the perfect place for outdoor/sports/casual wear type clothing. 90% of my wardrobe is from Sierra Trading Post. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The store clean and well organized. We are very lucky to have this store here in Boise. Update 2−5−15: Two stars. What happened to Sierra Trading Post Outlet? Last time I was in, I thought I was at R.E.I. or Cabelas. Gone are the deals on clothing and shoes. Now it’s just another upper scale-over priced sports wear/outdoor gear store. Sigh.

Standard issue Boise people. Friendly. Very helpful. If they don’t have what you want they’ll search other stores and have it shipped to you at no cost. On par with REI staff!

It is an outlet and yes it is pricey because they are selling outdoor clothes which are regular price very expensive! I say it is worth a stop, its near the interstate!

I’ve only been here actually twice. They seem to have an odd selection of merchandise, but I have to say I was extremely happy to have found a light work coat after searching about 5 other stores, and I got it for just over $ 60. The ladies working the checkout were fun, friendly and very courteous. Kudos for them making my whole day.

They never have the same inventory of many products because they are an outlet store — you have to go often and see what kind of goodies you can score. Its like a Ross or TJ Maxx for outdoor gear, you never know what you will find but the prices are usually a lot less than the big guys.

I may dress trendy, but it’s not because I drop the dollas at a retailer or high end department store. I am patient and always optimistic to see what’s waiting for me on the rack at STP. Art’eryx, Patagonia, North Face, Marmot… Ski gear, kayak, road biking schwag as well as some stylish home décor. Don’t forget to peruse the«Bargain Barn» to check on the gently used seconds that provide for much larger discounts. Happy shopping!

After looking forward for some time to visit the actual store, I was highly disappointed in their selection and lack of items availability. I have ordered items online from them previously and have been happy with the purchases and products but their retail location is seriously lacking! I asked for about 15 pairs of shoes in my size and they didn’t have a single one. C’mon, I know that there are a(very) few woman in this world with a shoe size of 14 but to have the entire insole department stocked with nothing but giant feet is ridiculous.

I really like Sierra Trading Post’s Catalog. If you like it too, you will be sorely disappointed by this place like I was. My first visit about 3 years ago was great. I left with quite the haul. Apparently they never restocked after that as I haven’t been tempted to make a purchase since that day. The women’s selection is beyond pitiful. As a man, your selection is larger, but it’s a good thing you will be in the great outdoors as you won’t want to wear anything they are selling in public. That leaves the rest of their selection which is grossly overpriced. Except maybe the socks.(+1 star for socks) Good luck to you if you do find something and have to endure the epically inefficient checkout line. Pass.

Look for coupons online or in many hotel lobby tourism kioks. This is NOT an outlet store. Compare to Eddie Bauer, The North Face, etc.

I saw the big billboard signs in Oregon & Idaho… I stopped by and was very disappointed. What an expensive outdoors store. I hope they remove the word«outlet» from all their signs…

What a great place to find a variety of sports ware. If you are in the Boise area, stop by. If you want to see what they have, get in touch with them to get their catalog. Really good bargains. And they even have DOG toys. Go figure.
