Rude, horrible customer service. The cooks look like they hate their life with a passion. The quality of the ingredients is very poor. They have their cheap stuff laid out first so you can fill up on that and then few fresh veggies at the end. They are always rude about your portions and examine the punch cards for at least a minute to make sure you didn’t somehow make your own little MG to stamp on there for a free lunch! I honestly don’t know how this place is still open. Location? Hence my two stars instead of one. It’s close to my house

Hmmm… Trying to figure out how to rate a Mongolian BBQ place… One of the things I like about Mongolian Grill dining is that you, as the patron, and the one who selects the ingredients, spices, and such, play a huge part in the overall success/failure of the meal. That said, I think I’ll try to point out the good things about this place, and point out a couple of things that could be better. The good: The place is always clean. The veggies, meats, and other raw materials always seem fresh and clean to me, and I’ve learned how much of what kind of sauces I like and what proportions of veggies/meat/noodles works best. This is the closest Mongolian BBQ place, relative to our house, so we often go there when we want a quick take-home meal. The cooks always do a good job, and front counter staff is super friendly. The prices seem ok to me, especially since we always get things«to-go», which means I will have two or three lunches worth of left-overs after my dinner. Could be better: They give you a tiny amount of rice. It’s almost funny how small of a chinese-food-box they have for rice, but it only holds a couple of tablespoons of rice. Maybe rice is viewed as optional, or not desired, since they provide the noodles. Still, I like rice too, and it would be nice to have a bit bigger portion. So all-in-all, this place is pretty good. We’ll keep coming back, and will be hoping for more rice. [ I have decided that I am going to look for another job. I can see myself as a mirror inspector. ]

Staff was very friendly with great service. Food and price is good and comparable with other Mongolian Bbq joints.

I can’t say I’m too impressed with this place. The owners really need to spend some of their money on updating and cleaning. Even if they painted and cleaned it would make a big difference. Some of their booth seats have rips. I don’t like the fact that their fortune cookies sit out in a large box and don’t come in an individual wrapped packets. I never eat them. I don’t feel like there selection of veggies and meats is huge. They do have a good selection of sauces. You always have to ask for rice instead of her asking if you would like a side of rice. I don’t know of any other Mongolian restaurants in this area or I’d go there.

Love Mongolian but this location is the worst one I’ve been to. Their ingredients were low and had clearly been sitting out for some time. Their staff was pretty unfriendly and I ended up getting charged twice because the guy on the register didn’t know how to work it. Food was fine but probably will not visit this location again.

Started eating here in 1999. Seems every year the quality of the food goes down and the price goes up. At least you could top the bowl with cheap noodles. Not only are their prices high but they have now posted a small hard to find sign, warning people that if they stack noodles three inches high, they will be charged the price of the next bigger bowl. They already charge $ 8.55 for a small bowl. We were accosted by an old Chinese woman about the height of our noodles. Then when we ate the food it was bland. Even if you ladle the recommended sauces, the cook pours the contents onto the flat grill and all the sauce and flavor runs right into the drain. The cook then squirts huge amounts of water from a bottle all over the cooking food. The result is a tasteless mess. Save your money and go to the China Buffet east on Fairview in Boise. Always delicious and no old greedy woman eyeballing everybody’s bowl contents.

I’m disappointed to be giving such a low grade to a fairly cheap meal with nice staff, however my latest experience really soured me to this place. I found one of those yellow and black pill bugs in my noodles yesterday. I assume that it must have been in the cilantro leaves I put in my bowl. I asked for a discount on the meal since I hadn’t been able to finish and received about 7 apologies but only 20% off. The staff was very sorry about it but I’m disappointed I didn’t get more of a discount for something that would have resulted in a failed health code rating.

Food is good and fresh. Waitress is very kind and attentive, however the cooks are always in a poor mood. Every time I try to ask a question or I have a request, they act like they don’t hear me and do what they want and ignore my questions. The guy today slammed everyone’s empty dish and then they speak Vietnamese the whole time with the other cook the whole time that I am standing there. This is the main reason I usually end up at Mongos down the street.

A little pricey but potentially a healthy meal. You are charged by the bowl size. Your goal is to cram as much meat /veggies /noodles inside as you possibly can. Bowls start at about $ 7 for a small. There’s free white rice served, so if you want to get the most for your money, fill your bowl with meat /veggies and avoid noodles. Then, just eat that stir-fry with the rice. There’s over 10 different sauces /oils to choose from. I’m hesitant partly because cleanliness concerns, but I guess because everything is cooked, that mitigates some concerns.
