Country Inn and Suites

I’ve stayed at Country Inn and Suites before and have always enjoyed it. This experience was not one I’d try again. We had no problems checking in and got a discounted rate with our AAA card, but that was where the pleasantries stopped. The carpet in our room has stains and feels course. I hate walking on it barefoot for even a second. The bedsheets were rough, and the comforter had hay and other things on it that made me wonder if it had even been washed. The mattress has to be the worst mattress I’ve ever slept on (or didn’t sleep really). It was like sleeping on a wooden plank. Blinds don’t do anything to block out the light. Overall just not impressed. This place needs some serious renovations before I’d come back.

No major complaints here. Downstairs and the hallways had a overwhelming stench of febreze-​athletes foot but almost completely disappeared in my room. The hot tub was out of order but nothing to cry over. All of the staff was very friendly! There are lots of places to choose to dine in the area which is nice. We went to Chilie’s (that’s a whole other review) and got a to-​go order, brought it back to our room and watched Borat. All in all we enjoyed our stay here, I would probably look around a little more in the area before staying again.

We are traveling back to Tx from NC and decided to stay in Meridian Ms since we had stayed there before. Our experience at the Country Inn and Suites was a positive one. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast adequate. Our son and his family had also stayed there previously and had recommended this hotel. It is in a very convenient location with restaurants and a mall nearby. We will come back the next time we come through Meridian.

Terrible. They put us in a room with no smoke detector, which is illegal to do. Tub did not drain. Sheets were dirty. And hair dryer didn’t start and was smoking. Which would make a good reason for a smoke detector. Would never stay here again. Let the front desk aware of all the problems and was not even offered to move rooms.

Safe and convenient location but it was dirty and smelled like mildew ! There were long hairs on the bathrooms floor, no grab bar or non skid mats in tub, and worst of all there was a giant (I mean the biggest I’ve seen) booger stuck on the wall by the bed ! It caught our eye as we approached the bed from many feet away, so it’s not like the housekeeper missed it ! Hey, I don’t want to clean boogers or pick up hair either but… I’m not in the business of providing cleaning services!!! GO somewhere else for $ 135

Quality of service and cleanliness of the rooms is left to be desired!!! I would not stay there again.

The room was nice, bed comfortable, and breakfast had a decent variety. Unfortunately the walls are thin so we had to listen to our neighbors coming and going and the people in the room above us showering while we tried to sleep. There were ants in the shower on our last morning there. They apologized and were very sweet. Since we were just staying to sleep in the middle of a 16 hr drive it served our purpose.
