I went here for a no chip manicure and while the service during my visit was good I received one of the worst manicures ever. From start to finish it lasted about 20 mins. The paint job was messy and one of my nails chip within about 6 hours. I should have saved my money and done my nails myself, it would have been the same quality.

I went to Ally. She’s been there like 13yrs. SHELISTENED. I left my last hair girl because she never listened to me. But I seriously got what I asked for. I have REALLY long hair. Neroli would charge me at least $ 130. I had a low light AND a highlight, and it was only $ 95!(plus tip of course) The only thing I found odd was I had to dry my own hair. Which I don’t mind, because it literally takes forever. I get why they do it, it’s all about how many people you can get in the door. But it would be nice if it was an option.

I have been having Barb do my color for 20 years and I won’t let anyone else touch it. I love to change things up and she has taken me from blonde to red to brunette and back to blonde while always making it flattering for my skin tone and keeping my hair healthy. I consider having my hair done as a luxury but a necessary one. After all your hair is the accessory you wear everyday.

I’ve been going to Erik of Norway for ten years and I keep going back because they do a good job with color, BUT, the fact that one has to blow-dry their own hair if they just get color is so annoying and not at all what you would expect from a nice salon. Their«blow dry bar» is sad, with terrible blowdryers, so I usually just run out with wet hair!(Not good.) Judy, a massage therapist in the salon’s spa, is one of the best massage therapists I’ve ever had and I’ve had massages all over the country at top-rated spas. If you want a cutting edge haircut, do not come here. Cuts are pretty much very conservative.

I have gotten my hair cut here many times in the past. The staff all have made up names as to not steal clients. I am really not into that sort of thing. Let’s keep it real people! They do have a wonderful waxing room and professionals that do a superb job. I think Erik of Norway used to be insanely cutting edge, but have not kept up their image. They still are the go to be seen in the North Shore. If you are addicted to Aveda products, as someone in my family may just be, this is an «easy in, easy out place to get them.»

I’ve been going to Eric Of Norway in Mequon since 2000. I’ve been through a few stylist due to normal turn over, but now I see Kelly for both cut, color and style. I could not be more happy. She been doing my color for a few years now I continue to get compliments for complete strangers. As for the salon, it’s always been clean and professional. I hope to go another 12 years.

I have been coming here for over 10 years and haven’t gone anywhere else. This is such a classy and soothing space. People are greeting you as you come in with tea and aromatherapy. After a nice scalp massage, you get the rinse and wash and they don’t use buzzers so they are true artists with the scissors. Highly recommend this place. Great spa too!

I tried other salons after moving back to the Milwaukee area thinking Erik of Norway would be too expensive but after having just ok experiences nearby I went to E of N. I am glad I did, it was the same price I was paying elsewhere but the service, color and cut I got was fantastic. They even give you a stellar head massage during the shampoo/condition. My only request would be that the dry and style you pay a little extra for so you dont have to walk out with wet hair be more of a style and not just a boring blow dry. I will request this next time and hope they can come through.

This place has been the crown holder for best in Milwaukee for a lonnng time. It’s too bad it’s not listed under Milwaukee salons in Unilocal.(They have a downtown location now, but I can’t speak to that.) In my parent’s day, this is where people flocked to see Erik and his staff. Now Erik has passed it on to his most successful and talented protégé — Paul. This is the only place in town that I’ve seen that can keep up with the high quality salons in LA and Chicago — and I’ve looked.

consistently just okay — color dept. staff had such a nasty/pretentious vibe — not my style — and it’s true that if you don’t book style/blow dry, you’re out of there, wet headed & feeling stupid; I always parked as close to the shop as possible — rarely felt like it was a treat to go, and despite being loyal to the shop for at least 2 years, never found a stylist adept enough to tame my very thick, stubborn, processed hair in a way I loved

I was a little bit apprehensive about getting my hair cut out in Mequon, but went here on a friend’s recommendation, and am so glad I did! I asked for someone that is specifically comfortable with handling curly hair, and they made sure to set me up with just that. I’ve been happy with each haircut I’ve gotten here, and am happy to have found a salon/stylist that is not only able to work with ideas I come in with, but also confident enough to offer suggestions — that work! It’s clean, convenient, well maintained, reasonably priced, and pretty easy to schedule appointments. What else!

I went to Erik’s for practically my whole life before leaving Milwaukee, and even continued to go while I was in college. It is a well-known Milwaukee go-to spot as they have consistently great stylists, both for cuts and color. Over the many years I’ve gone I have never had a bad experience(be it for a cut, color, highlights, manicure, spa treatment, etc). They try to make you feel right at home! Skews a bit on the conservative side due to the clientele, but everyone is fun and easy to talk to. One thing I don’t like is how you have to dry/style your own hair if you are just getting it colored(mostly just because I am inept at both). Also, prices are higher than most places in Milwaukee but you are paying for the superior service and skills. The spa is also pretty awesome, tucked away in a separate area. Go to Emily for brow waxes — she’s the best!

I’ve been going here for over 6 years and it’s one of the reasons I look forward to being in Milwaukee. Only Aveda salon I trust and I get a full head of highlights and a cut for $ 130. I used to pay that much for half head of highlights in LA. Must see is their spa area. Tranquility pure!!!
