Leissa’s Hair Studio & Day Spa

After moving to Menomonie 8 months ago, making some new friends, and inquiring with them about hair salons, Leissa’s was recommended to me… and I’ve be going there ever since. Best decision ever. Kara cuts and styles my hair every 8 – 10 weeks and she’s amazing! She (like very few others) knows how to work with my difficult thick and curly hair. Kara always gives great recommendations on product (this salon carries Aveda, Moroccan Oil, Kenra, and Dermalogica) and she is really fun to chat with throughout my appointment. The salon itself is always a wonderful experience. The environment is cute and trendy, clean, and has an all around upscale but not stuffy vibe. The staff is super friendly and they always offer a refreshment of sorts. Also, there is a boutique within the salon that is fun to browse. Though it’s on my agenda, I have yet to make an appointment for a pedicure. Admittedly, the prices for nail services are a bit steep which makes me hesitate, but for an extra treat one day and good quality, it’ll be worth it. LOVE this place and highly recommend it!

I have been a guest at Leissa’s for many years, the staff has always been professional, the salon is «up-​beat», clean, the staff highly trained and everyone makes you feel so welcomed and appreciated.
My stylist, Stacy, has innovative idea… so much that I let her do what ever cut she wants to my hair. I always get compliments and inquiries as to where I get my hair cut… The other services provided have been outstanding! This place is a FIRST-​CLASS experience.

I got my hair done for my wedding here and they did a good job. They were professional and nice. I later got my hair dyed there and the lady did a horrible job. She didn’t do what i asked her to do. even when I had shown her a picture. She said she could do what I asked but failed. The lady agreed to let me come back and work on it for free, which I thought was nice. However, after another 3.5 hours in the chair, she failed again. I decided that I had spent way more than enough ($ 140) and had driven far enough (40 mins) to let it happen again. !Adiós! I’m not going back. :o (Sad.
