My family and I come here all the time. The owner is always so nice and makes you feel very welcomed. The food is always fresh and hot everytime. My particular favorites are the red velvet pancakes or the build your own skillet which I get with a hashbrown base, scrambled eggs, cheddar, Swiss, ham, bacon, mushrooms and a side of hollandaise sauce. I try to get breakfast from here at least once a week :)

Had a great breakfast this morning. Eggs, corned beef hash, hash browns and toast all for less than $ 9. Other diner had florentine benedict with spinach tomato and mushrooms. The spinach and mushrooms were fresh(not canned or frozen) the poached eggs perfectly done. Friendly service and plentiful delicious coffee. We will be back.

In search of a decent breakfast in the area, the boyfriend and I ended up here. We were seated immediately(somehow on a Sunday morning I had expected to have to wait), but it took 5 – 10 minutes for our server to even acknowledge us, finally offering a «Be right with you!» as she sprinted by. The food was decent, though I was disappointed to learn that the raisin toast on the menu was not available. I settled for an English muffin, which was at least toasted nice and crispy. Scrambled eggs were decent, hash browns of course in need of salt but piping hot, clearly the last thing added to the plate. The bacon was a huge disappointment. Greasy, tasteless, and just gross. I love bacon, but I took one bite of this and called it quits. Coffee appeared to be Colectivo and was pretty good. I think our server was responsible for most of the room, as she was running around frantically. We had to ask for more coffee when we could catch her and she forgot the boyfriend’s side of Hollandaise. Clearing plates, she also rather prematurely asked my aunt if she was«still working on that,» when clearly she was. All that being said, I was ready to give Café Agora 3 stars… until the boyfriend reported that, while paying the check, the iPad-run system offered him no opportunity to tip less than 18%, with no indication of whether that was a pre– or post-tax amount. Excuse me??? Is that why they were so understaffed, because they extort tips out of their customers? I’m sure if we had argued, they would have removed, but you need to let people tip what they feel is appropriate, not some set amount. I won’t be back.

Very inconsistent in service and quality, specifically service. Would not recommend.

A very desolate restaurant when we went. There were only like two people in there and it was completely silent. No music, no people, a ghost town. I was in the mood for brunch though so I was happy to see a veggie omelette option, and that I could have fruit as my side. I wanted to go the healthier route and ordered my omelette without cheese on it. Unfortunately all of the vegetables were swimming in butter. Like I cut open the omelette and a little pool of butter poured out. It didn’t taste that bad, it was just too much, they need to use less. My sister got a bagel sandwich and had a similar problem. just way too much stuff. Too much cheese and fatty stuff on there left her feeling sick and unable to eat much. The fruit I got was very fresh though, very tasty and I liked it. My dad got a salad and thought it wasn’t too bad. Overall, if you are in the area, I don’t think I recommend, but I wouldn’t say it was like the worst place or anything.

I see all the mixed reviews but I was going to check them out. I don’t get to this area very often so when I spotted them weeks ago I knew I would end up here. I will admit that I got there at 20 to 7 am and no one was in the place which was maybe a bad sign. The place looked pretty nice on the inside and not what I was expecting with all the rich wood and comfy seating. See my pictures. The place starts to fill up around 7am and I was feeling better now. I had no issues with the service and I was promptly given a menu and water. The menu is big enough to satisfy most people and they have beer and cocktails if you were wondering. One thing caught my eye and I don’t care for eggs Benedict but the farmers Benedict sounded good. The farmers Benedict came with baby red potatoes. The farmers Benedict is a biscuit half with a sausage patty, poached egg topped with sausage gravy. The baby red potatoes were cooked in a deep fryer so they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside which was great. The poached egg was perfect with a nice runny yoke. The sausage patty was zesty and juicy, not those bland kind that I hate. The sausage gravy was better than average with crumbled sausage that you can taste. The biscuit was fresh and moist. See my pictures. The farmers Benedict was a nice change for breakfast and I enjoyed it because It all worked very well and was tasty. On my way out I noticed a sign saying home made soup for $ 1.99 and saw a large quart size container of clam chowder so even if it’s from yesterday you can’t beat that deal so I grabbed one to go. You can’t buy a crapy can of chunky soup for $ 1.99 if you think about it. Overall I had a great breakfast and the clam chowder surprise with no issues to report and I will be back for the farmers Benedict

I can not even explain how horrible this experience was. The food was average or slightly below average — nothing to be overly happy or disappointed with. But we’d never eat there again due to the cleanliness and attitude… We decided to stop in for a quick family breakfast on our way to church… 1. The waitress brought us(and charged us) for items we didn’t order then literally ran from back yelling when another waitress went and told her when we tried to have it corrected at the counter when paying. 2. As we were sitting waiting on our food, a number of the waitresses had touched the food after coming out of the kitchen with bare hands — after seeing them lick fingers, eat over food, cough into hands, and one even peeled something off her shoe. None ever washed hands at any point. When I brought this up to the owner/manager when we were paying she was angry and got aggressive with us also then said they have had a lot of meeting about not doing that. Obviously, this has been an ongoing issues. 3. After letting them know, the same owner/manager let me know there would be a required gratuity added to our order — 15% minimum — as the standard tip they request was 20%. What?! I usually tip 18−22% but not at a breakfast place where we had to leave our food and our server screamed at us in front of our kids. 4. When you do pay via credit card — their«standard» tip options are 18%, 22% &25%!! Seriously, it’s a Greek diner with below average food.

My husband and I go to Agora often. They serve Collectivo Coffee which is always fresh and steaming. The menu has a wide variety of offerings. The portions are a little to large for us so we always have another meal for the next day. The soups are excellent, especially the chicken and dumpling and Friday’s clam chowder. The breakfast wrap is delicious, served in a spinach wrap with eggs, onions, meat and cheese. The fish fry is outstanding and very reasonable at just over $ 10.00. The wait staff is ALWAYS attentive. If the owner was a little more friendly I would have given this a 5 star rating. We really enjoy Agora.

Not going to go on and on. This place is awesome, if you haven’t been here try it out. Good food, service, and excellent coffee. Bit pricy for the falls, more like downtown pricing.

My husband and I went there a few times now for brunch… the food is ok… too pricey for what you get, if you ask me. But it is definitely a different place to go, once in a while.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover! This place was very comfy & yummy. They serve Colectivo coffee & their stuffed French Toast was very yummy with fresh whipped cream! The Huevos Rancheros were ok I should have asked for the picante sauce on the side cause it over powered the dish. I look forward to coming again & ordering the Cinnamon Roll French Toast.

My daughter and I visited Agora for the first time 3 weeks ago. We’ve been back every week since. Today I enjoyed the Agora favorite. A scramble with gyro meat, feta, kalomata olives, tzatzikki sauce, over well made hash browns. Super yummy. My daughter enjoyed the cinnamon roll French Toast, creative and really good. We’ll be back.

Well I am going to start by saying that previous reviews of wait times is extremely accurate. We arrived at 9:45 am and had a short wait of 5 minutes for a table as the restaurant was full, a good omen that the food should be good. After being seated, it was 10 minutes to get a drink and another 5 minutes for her to take our order. It has been 45 minutes and no table touch, but the table next to us that was seated at the same time was told the kitchen was ‘on a wait and sorry. At 1 hour our food was finally served. The food was hot and looked appetizing. My girlfriend had the eggs florentine benedict. The eggs were poached perfect, the potatoes seasoned nicely and overall was good. I had the agora skillet. It was nicely presented in a layered fashion, but did not have the pita with it as noted. The item was fresh, but only lukewarm and while I love Kalamata olives, they were a bit overpowering in the dish. Overall though, it was good as well. The disappointment was with the strawberry fruit crêpe. It was literally a crêpe with chopped strawberries tossed on it and some whipped cream. No sauce to speak of, so it was dry and unappealing. Service was mediocre. There was clearly not enough staff and the wait time would be okay if service and food were spectacular, but the food was just good and the service was below par. This place has great potential if they can get their act together with service times, but until then… do not expect anything less than a very long wait and poor service.

Since it is so close, this was another brunch place that I really wanted to work out. First time my girlfriend and I came in our waitress informed us that«since there is only one cook, the buffet would be the best option.» Taking her up on the offer, we did just that and came away with a mediocre meal. Went back again, this time later in the day and ordered off of the menu. From ordering drinks to having the food put in front of us took an hour and fifteen minutes. Getting up was no longer an option. Price is decent but the lack in speed doesn’t make up for it at all.

I recently moved to the area and wanted to try a new brunch spot. I ordered the Wisconsin Scramble which comes with two slices of toast. When the food arrived at the table there was MOLD on the crust of my toast. My friend and I looked it over and were like, «Is this seriously mold?» Upon picking up the piece of bread we also found what looked like a long, black hair on the second piece. We waved our waitress over and she apologized profusely and asked if I’d like some new slices(at that point, I declined). I expected her to offer some sort of compensation but she didn’t say another word about the moldy/hairy bread(and never brought it up to the supervisor). The actual Wisconsin Scramble was not very good either. My boyfriend tried a few bites and described it as «gritty» and«greasy.» When we went up to pay our bill there was a lady(who I’m assuming was a supervisor) on the phone with a customer. Her attitude with the customer was surprisingly poor and her frustration was becoming apparent as she said things like, «I know who you are. You want a refund? Fine, you can come in and get a refund.» At that point a second worker came up to handle our bill. I told her about my moldy/hairy bread. She apologized and excused herself to speak with our waitress. She came back and said«We’ll give you a 20% off discount but just so you know that wasn’t a hair, it was a bristle from our butter brush.» Who cares if it’s a bristle? It shouldn’t be on the piece of toast regardless! At that point the supervisor got off the phone and jokingly said«Well, that was a customer who was a little disappointed, but how was your meal?!» The staff just seemed strange and unprofessional, the food was awful, the décor and look of the place is out-dated and dingy, and there was mold on my bread. Needless to say I won’t be going back to Café Agora again!

Service was a bit slow, and the menu was limited. Not much for a pancake house. There are better choices in the area for the price
