Is this place still open for business? I called the phone number and it’s «no longer in service.» Someone help me before I make the long drive.(rating given equivalent to average)

I am puzzled regarding the high reviews for this place. From the moment my husband and I went in we were acknowledged with a very cold greeting and body language that said«leave immediately.» After browsing the shop briefly, I very purposely smiled kindly at the lady(assuming she must have had a bad morning) and received a perfunctory, cold, fake smile in return and more«get out of my shop» body language. Lest you think we’re exceptionally loud or obnoxious, this doesn’t happen to us anywhere else. The thing with hats is that they’re not commonly worn today and most of us need a bit of an education about them. My husband wanted a men’s hat(not really sure what style or how to pull it off) and I was interested in a Panama Hat — I’ve come to realize there’s a lot of variation in style based on crown shape, brim length, weave grade, bands, etc. I was excited to come in and would have happily spent money on a hat, but the negativity was overwhelming. Previously I had a very nice experience with Hats on Post in San Francisco. They set the bar in terms of pleasant attitude and great customer service — I wish they had men’s hats and true Panamas.

My friend was looking for a new sun hat and we happened to be in this area so we stopped in here. She had been here before but it was my first time. This place had all sorts of hats, including many options for the sun hat she was looking for. It has both men and women hats to pick from. This place isn’t a baseball cap type of store though so be ready to spend some money, but rest assured, you’re paying for top quality, too. The lady who runs the place was so nice, patient, and very knowledgeable about her products. Weather’s getting warmer so make sure to wear your sunscreen and stop by here to get yourself a hat, or two.

A try fine hat shop, run by a true lover of hats. Carolyn is a great person, and I really appreciate her knowledge of different styles and history.

Real men get their real hats at Fino Fino. That must mean I’m a helluva guy, having purchased four hats here. No ball caps at Fino Fino. If you were from 1955, about the only thing you would not recognize is Carolyn’s iPod. You would recognize the music, though. From the solid value of Biltmore, to the style of Borsalino, topping out with the world class custom panama, milan and felt hats from Optimo of Chicago, Carolyn of Fino Fino will set you up. Quality hats are not cheap. Skate punks can look cool in a cheap hat, but for the rest of us, a decent felt hat starts around $ 130. Spend less and you look like a dork. If you want the best, go for the Optimo trunk show. Graham Thompson, the owner of Optimo Hats, comes out from Chicago and personally fits your custom lid. Lately it’s been in October, and they were talking about adding a spring trunk show. Contact Fino Fino or check . Fino Fino also has a lot of fine women’s hats. My wife and daughter tried on some and they looked cute, but that’s the extent of my experience with the women’s department.

Got the hat that every lover of 60s gangster movies lusts about: a black fedora made by Borsalino. Man, this looks even better in real life than on screen. My leading lady bought a sophisticated silk wide brim hat that has a vibrant purple hue that makes the sun look boring. Amazing little shop. Budget a little time for your visit, there’s plenty to see and plenty to try on.

A great place to shop for hats. Sometimes they can be a bit on the«older» side, but the selection makes up for it. If you are in the market for a new hat then you should look here.
