I began piano lessons with Dr. Renee Chevalier during my Residency at Stanford Medical Center, continued through 34 years in practice. Now, retired, I have more time to enjoy and hone my skills with Dr. Chevalier’s guidance. When my studies or work resulted in less time to practice, Dr. Chevalier focused on making music enjoyable, never admonishing me for lack of practice before a lesson. My lessons and practice time were an oasis from the daily grind. This very talented musician has a unique ability to instruct and to share her love of the piano with everyone, regardless of age, musical ability, or distractions from day jobs. I highly recommend Dr. Chevalier to anyone with a love of music who wants to devop this love through piano lessons.

Dr. Renee is an amazing teacher. She is the first teacher I have ever had such a creative manner. All my other teachers have just told me to play exactly when I see. Yet, Dr. Rene is an inquiry-​based piano teacher. She has me follow patterns and chords instead of just only the notes as memorization. Unlike other Teachers, she is teaching me to how to think!!! I love it. Im so happy i found her! Thanks Dr. Renee! You rock!

You can expect from Dr. Renee quality piano lessons. She is always very positive and patient.
Also she is experienced, which is a real plus. She is familiar with all the multiple challenges of developing the skill of playing the piano and knows how to guide her students throughout the process.

As a child I took piano lessons for 6 years. However, I had not touched a piano in 20+ years when recently, on the recommendation of a neighbor, I began lessons with Renee. She is an amazing professional and superb teacher. I am learning things from her that I’d never learned before and my «skills» (such as they are) are returning more quickly than I’d ever anticipated.
Dr. Renee Chevalier is the consummate professional and devoted teacher. I am lucky to have found her.
