I tried the medium new york pizza with pepperoni, which cost a little over $ 21. The pizza was good but way too expensive for the price. But I do applaud their efforts in creating a passable new york style pizza. Its closer than most pizzerias in the area who makes this claim.

Delivery pizza was tepid, limp and tasteless; salad was tiny for the price. The$ 30 minimum for delivery is extortion. …so was the $ 28 pizza!!!

Do you like pizza and salad? You will like Amici’s! Amici’s is honestly not my FAVORITE pizza place, but I do think it’s a good place to meet up with friends for dinner. It’s pretty affordable, it’s central if you’re getting together in Menlo Park, it’s not fancy(in contrast to many of the other restaurants in the area), and you’ll find a pretty decent array of options for everyone in your party. This location is large, and it’s also very clean. On a nice day, it’s fun to sit outside and people-watch. Service is efficient and friendly, and the food quality is good. As I said, I think the pizza is just OK, but I’ve been very happy with my salads(garden, side, and antipasto) and pastas(*from other Amici’s locations, but still worth mentioning). Lest I forget… On my Iced Tea Index, this Amici’s scores very high. The tea is strong and full flavored(even with a bunch of ice), and they keep the refills coming.

I haven’t been at Amici’s for almost one year. I remembered this place as average at best and avoided coming here for that reason. One day the idea came up to go there for lunch with my coworkers. I tagged along since I didn’t have any better ideas. I ordered a pizza with artichokes and I was very surprised. It was delicious and very close to what I expect of an Italian pizza. I’m not sure if my expectations changed during the year of living in the US ;-). I prefer to like the pizza ;-)

I ordered a small cheese pizza and chicken sandwich with pesto and cheese. The pizza was just okay, but what the hell that sandwich was I have no clue! I have had that same sandwich from the Mt. View and Dublin locations but this one had everything but chicken in it! WTF? Everywhere else this is a chicken breast(whole-boneless, skinless) on a roll with pesto, melted cheese and a roasted red pepper. I picked up and ate at the office, so I wasn’t about to go back –but it had broccoli, zucchini, onion, whole garlic cloves(not roasted even), roasted peppers and mushrooms all hidden in tons of melted cheese, but 2 thin slices of chicken on top like you’d find on top of a salad. I didn’t order a ratatouille sandwich and who puts broccoli in a sandwich? It was so disgusting I tossed it out. It wasn’t even like a nice veggie sandwich they just tossed in the diced up pizza toppings and glued it all together with the ton of cheese and wrapped it up open faced! They had the audacity to charge $ 13.50 for that! The menu says its the same at all locations except the SF one, so not sure why it was like that, but I am NEVER going there again!

The best cheese pizza I have ever had. Wings from here are also good, not just plain buffalo wings, travel pretty well, but could be spicier in my opinion. Two hungry dudes can kill an entire pizza and feel stuffed, or three to four normal people can consume it and be full. It is a little overpriced, but they set the standard very high.

I’ve never seen such worst«black» chicken wings that were completely burn. I ordered on line and took out pizzas and chicken wings, and found that they were burn. I can’t believe that there are cooks who served such bad quality of foods. Was it because I was a customer who wasn’t Dine-in?

Good taste, but expensive! I got the mini 7″ Milano pizza($ 12.75), and Baked Penne Parmigiana w/Eggplant($ 13.95) for a small. The Milano pizza was thin and crunchy w/good toppings, but it was a little over priced for that size serving. I was moderately full and satisfied, but after tax and tip, it was not worth that miniature size with a high price. The Baked Penne Parmigiana w/Eggplant was also pretty good. The inside features penne pasta with spaghetti sauce mixed with eggplants, then topped with a layer of melted cheese! I would recommend this if you’re looking for a pasta. I would only recommend this place if you’re looking for something new but on the pricier side. Probably won’t be back since I’ve tried both their pizza and pasta already.

I ate here for the first time a few days ago, and I was overall happy with the food and the service. I ordered the 3 meatball side(3 small meatballs in a bowl, I didn’t get any sauce) which was good, and the fettuccine with pesto and clams which was absolutely delicious. The service was quick and the waiter was really nice. I will definitely be going back soon!

Brought my service dog with me to dinner and politely asked to sit outside because I know people get irritated with dogs inside. I get it. It’s fine. I’ll deal. I was sat down by the host and some rude lady next to us rudely stated«dogs aren’t allowed». I told her he was a service dog and she smirked at me and I told her if she was still uncomfortable then I would move. Still not receiving an answer from her, I ignored it. Not even 30 seconds later, ANOTHER guy, who I am assuming is the manager, came up to my table and not even in a discrete manner stated«excuse me, dogs aren’t allowed.» I told him that my dog was a certified service and he questioned me, which actually is against the law, so I got up and said because the rude lady next to me was so uncomfortable and obviously the manager was too, that I’ll just sit on the outer patio next to the foot traffic and cars. I’m so astonished that a chain restaurant is so unknowledgeable about service dogs. I am completely offended and was so utterly embarrassed. I would rather go somewhere with terrible food and is more accepting than this place who obviously is not. I’m not from menlo park so I don’t know if maybe this is just how people are but, wow, what a joke. Rude. Rude. Rude. Definitely contacting corporate.

Its a good pizza pie. I usaully get the meatball sub or italian sausage sub and they are a decent lunch too. However, im not sure if they got a new cook but they burned my sub today. Usually its a decent experience though.

WHY are the salads so darn small??? Their«full» salad would usually pass as a side salad in most meals. I love the salads and I just want more =[. For $ 12 I’d like more than a soup bowl of kale. Please. Otherwise the salads are yummy. The pizza is ok– considering that this is a pizzeria I kind of expect more. Just not super memorable. Our server didn’t seem to have a new table but I think we came in closer and he was probably tired and ready for his shift to end, basically understandable.

Mediocre and expensive. Make every topping cost additionally $ 1.60 — $ 4.80 on medium. Selections are few and strange unless you build your own. Lots of people like it but honestly, I prefer the pizza at carpaccio. Manager was nice earning more stars

In America, things are bigger, except the price. Amici’s is no exception. First off, I have found, through experience that appetisers in this country are often larger than full meals in my own. So I ordered 2 appetisers — garlic bread and meatballs in marinara sauce. First a review of the meatballs. I am not sure why, but the cook seemed to have a different definition of «in sauce» than I. When I want«in sauce», it means that it should be doused in sauce and meatballs should be potentially hidden under a sea of delicious marinara sauce. In this case, they were not. And the waiter disappeared when I was looking to ask for more sauce(again, my asking for more of anything is a rarity in the United States of plenty). The other appetiser I had was the garlic bread. This again, was too dry for my taste. It would have been better had it come with some of the marinara sauce(waxed ecstatically about above) to dip in, but alas, they skimped on this. Oh, well, I’d imagine the pizza’s better, as the next table seemed to be having an orgasm over it.

I usually like this place but tonight’s food was a disappointment. I ordered gnocchi and it came in a container and was barely full. It looks like they forgot about them and burnt them and then drenched on the basil pesto and cheese and said F it because they knew it was a delivery order. The salad was delicious as always and so was the pizza but this was a big disappointment.

good pizza but a bit overpriced for what you get. The small(personal) Siciliano is $ 17.35 and thats before tax! for two people for lunch it was $ 50 I do recommend the Siciliano though it was very tasty it comes with mozzarella, provolone, mild italian sausage, broccoli, slow-roasted garlic, hot red pepper flakes(no tomato sauce).

We came here as a second choice since The Refuge was closed for the holidays, and the restaurant was pretty empty around 7:30pm. We ordered a Small Build Your Own Pizza(w/Sausage & Black Olives) which ended up costing $ 17.35– super pricey! I haven’t had pizza here for a while and forgot how thin and crunchy the crust is– not my favorite. Stick to their Caesar or Panzanella salad(ask for it with Caesar dressing)! The pizza was definitely lived up to the Small size– two people can technically share it but one person will probably not be completely full. Service was decent, but a little on the slow side. Overall this was an ok meal, but definitely not cheap– I wouldn’t come back for pizza though since the crust was too thin/crunchy for my liking. Parking was easy since it wasn’t a busy night.

I live within walking distance of this Amici’s and so my girlfriend and I are pretty frequent pizza eaters here. It’s delicious. I don’t handle gluten well anymore(thanks, poor genetics!) so we always get the gluten-free crust, but we’ve had plenty of both that and their regular crusts. I personally love the pesto pizza with tomato sauce added.(I’m craving one right now and that’s literally why I’m writing this review. 100% serious.) The chicken wings are also to die for… lemony, blackened in the oven, and so perfect it’s ridiculous. Service is usually good, and the few times they’ve messed up, the manager has personally taken care of it and made the experience great. It’s also one of the very few places that doesn’t close early for Old People Bedtime and that’s an added bonus. We came here SO many times when work kept us late and cooking dinner sounded like pulling teeth. Though the place can get full of screaming kids sometimes which… look, I don’t like kids. Never have. Not making any of my own either. But I guess it is a child-friendly place so whatever… just, guys, don’t let your bored offspring annoy the living heck out of the other diners too much. Please? I know it’s hard and you want Grown-Up Time, but seriously, if your spawn is yelling«DADDY, LOOKATME! LOOKDADDYLOOK!» while standing on the room divider, maybe you should, I dunno, look at him?

We called for pizza and we’re happy to hear that they deliver, but there was a $ 55 minimum. I went to pick up the pizza and it was ready when I got there. The cashier was pleasant and efficient, but… The pizza was horrible. It was a unique custom pizza so it couldn’t have been sitting around and then reheated, but that’s what it seemed like. The bell peppers must have come from a can or something. I’ve had bad pizzas from good places before, and some of their other dishes sounded good, so I may give this place another shot.
