A Cut Above Pools

There are not enough nice words to say about A Cut Above Construction, Pools and Landscaping. Chris Young owns the company along with his delightful wife, Debbie. His two sons, Cole and Corey, help out as well. Chris is very much a hands-​on manager. You see him almost every day, working, supervising and answering all your questions and discussing options. His crews are the most hard-​working, polite and talented men we’ve ever encountered. Our landscaping — front and back, our pool, the design and hardscape are the talk of the neighborhood. In fact, several of our neighbors contracted his company to design and install their yards. He met with us to get our concepts, then brought us a virtual plan that really excited us. The result is fantastic! It was finished in the time promised and was clean and perfectly ready to enjoy. A Cut Above really is a cut above the rest!

Just wanted to give another review for a cut above. Had an issue with some discoloration around pool a year after it was built. Chris got someone out in a very timely fashion to repair it and of course no cost to us. I wanted to say that it is good to know that he still provides great customer service even well after job was complete:) thanks.

After a referral we looked at their website I must say we were very pleased with what we saw. So we picked up the phone and called to set up an appointment for them to come out and give us an estimate. To our disappointment we are a little out of their area and since they are very busy I was informed they wouldn’t be able to do my pool. We spoke for some time on the phone the owner explained that they wouldn’t want to take on a job that they wouldn’t be able to provide me the level of service they like to give their customers. Let me tell you that speaks very loudly that this company isn’t in business to make a quick dollar they are in business to provide excellent customer service. I told her that I wasn’t in any hurry and I could wait she said she would see what she could do. In my book when a business turns down business because they want to make sure they will be there when you need them they are serious about taking care of their customers. I RESPECT her honesty and even if they can’t do my pool if I have any friends or customers that inquire and they are in this compromise area they are getting a referral from me. INTEGRITY, HONESTY AND PROFESSIONALISM is what you will get with these guys. A CUT ABOVE IT’S ALL IN THE NAME

Our pool was just completed by A Cut Above and I must say, we definitely hit the jackpot when it came to picking a pool
contractor. This company strives to make your dream pool a reality. Very professional and personable. Chris, the owner, was so easy to deal with. I now consider him a family friend. Office manager Debbie was super nice and easy to talk to. Cole, Cody and the rest of the crew were very friendly, approachable and absolutely respectful of my property. All in all — an excellent local company, who I would recommend to anyone looking for an honest company for their pool installation.

So far i am a fan, They have been VERY PATIENT with me and my wife and we have yet to sign the contract, but we are highly likely to use them because others in the pool industry respect them and a company i used to work for did a lot of work with them. Considering i have yet to move forward over the last few months i am very pleased that they have not blown me off. It is a 4 star review because i haven’t experienced the construction side yet.

Very professional, affordable and well done. They went above and beyond what was required WRT customer service. The entire staff was personable and instilled confidence that we would be fully satisfied with the end product. Chris became more of a friend than just a contractor. great sense of humor! He and his staff walked us through the process and stages, as they went along IOT ensure that we fully understood what was occurring. No question was treated as it was insignificant. During the planning phase, Chris was malleable to changes in the design, quickly made the adjustments and then also finished way ahead of schedule.

We used Chris from A Cut Above in 2009. We had multiple estimates but hands down Chris had the most thorough and well thought out plan. From the day he broke ground it was complete in 27 days, faster than he had even promised. That being said the speed wasn’t our biggest concern but certainly a plus. The quality of work and the continued answers to our questions have been nothing but amazing. We have enjoyed our pool worry free for 4 years now thanks to Chris! We would recommend him to anyone that ask!

Recently I was looking to build a pool in Hemet, Ca and I had 3 different contractors come to my house for a quote. One of the contractors was Chris Young, owner of A Cut Above Pools. Chris listened to my ideas, my budget, and looked at my yard. He returned a few days later with a drawing of our backyard with a beautiful one of a kind pool designed. No cookie cutter pool designs here. Chris stayed in our budget and was by far the best designer.
During the entire construction we had ZERO problems. Everything was done on time or early and Chris always had outstanding communication with us. If we had any questions we simply called him or his wife Debbie. Chris finished our pool within budget and early!
