Waited for 20 minutes at the bar area. No one helped us, but the waitress helped other patrons that came in after us. Not very cool and will recommend friends NOT to come here. On the flip side, beautiful lobby.

After reading a number of positive reviews we dined at the Victorian Dining Room. When we entered the hotel, it was not obvious where to go for seating but a very nice hotel staff member pointed us in the right direction. After standing ignored for a few minutes we asked a passing staff member if we should seat ourselves and she said, «Just wait and someone will notice you.» After a few minutes we were seated but I got the feeling that this was not starting out right. By the way, this was Saturday night on Labor Day weekend and the room was about a quarter occupied. We were seated at a round table that was awkwardly large for two but I think we were hungry and glad to be finally seated. The dining room is very Victorian so it’s dark due to the beautify darkly-stained woodwork and dim lights. It is set off from the bar/bistro by floor-standing screens so the bar noise does travel to the dining room and can be distracting if there are loud drunks at the bar, as there were during our evening. Our waiter was really nice but seemed like he needed help because the service was slow but since we were in no hurry so it wasn’t a big deal. Martinis came, dinner was ordered and after placing our orders we were informed that they were out of the prime rib which was on the specials menu. We re-ordered and also added a bottle of red wine, which as it turns out was the last bottle of red in the house. I would not expect this considering their wine awards that I read about on their website. Anyway, my filet dinner was good, nicely cooked and not frilly, nothing to rave about, but good, and desert was also acceptable except that toward the end of desert, the hostess(who we couldn’t find when we needed to be seated when we arrived) let out a loud fart! Take away from that what you will, but we laughed all the way back to our hotel and the next morning, I woke up laughing. Overall it’s an OK restaurant but I think expensive for what it is. I think retraining of management and staff are in order, I’ve had better service at chain restaurants and I do not plan on returning.
