Best sandwich in mendocino. My new favorite is veggie pesto on the grill! I’ve been told it’s even better with bacon! You can’t go wrong with a handbuilt sandwich from mendo market for your beach adventure or forest hike picnic! I will be back soon.

Sandwiches are very tasty. I had been in the Fort Bragg area for the weekend. After being very disappointed in the food quality of everywhere I went to eat, Mendocino Market came to the rescue! I made my own turkey sandwich and added the avocado hummus. All cold sandwiches come with tomatoes, sprouts, mayo, mustard, and pickles, but, you can also, add more toppings. It was just what I needed. The sandwich was BIG I had to save the other half. But none the less, fresh and quite delicious for a sunny day! My bf ordered the warm bbq chicken sandwich and also, enjoyed it very much! We shared a cup of clam chowder and it was good too. It was not salty like most clam chowders are it was a great combo with the sandwiches. The shop itself is very mom and pop. The staff was nice and helpful. I thought it was priced just right. What you would you usually pay at a nice sandwich spot. If I’m ever back I will definitely visit again! Cash only! They have an atm inside.

Good Chowder and great sandwiches. Nice selection for such a little place. Prices are decent. No bathroom though, so be prepared.

Came here based off of all the awesome reviews I read, but was pretty let down. First, their prices are pretty expensive, but it is Mendocino. I’m pretty picky so I did a custom made sandwich with just turkey, lettuce, cheese, and pesto and it was over $ 9. My husband got the Philly, which was way bigger than mine, but also more expensive than mine. It also took forever to get our food. I was looking forward to the clam chowder but they were out. These guys came in and said they drove all the way to the Market just to buy shrimp, but they were out of that too. They have a small meat display case where you can buy certain seafood but it didn’t look very appealing. Their back patio area is nice and you can bring your dog back there.

Not much in the way of groceries; plenty in the way of super amazing deli sandwiches and fantastic beer.

This was a stop I was looking forward to in Mendocino when we were there for the weekend. I love finding the local spots. And this was one of them I looked ahead of time and saw they had gluten free bread for sandwiches so we headed there the 2nd day we were in town. Hubby had the Italian combo on a sourdough roll. I had a salami and chicken sandwich(gf) with most of the fixings(no thank you sprouts). It was amazing!!! Great quality deli meat and ingredients. No skimping on the quality or portion size. Just delicious. Well priced. Great service. Even better sandwiches. We know we are a bit snobby when it comes to food quality(we own a restaurant in sonoma valley) and we were so happy when this unpretentious deli had some awesome offerings. We will be back!!!

Heading out of town and needed to grab a sandwhich to go. Their sandwhiches hit the spot as they used fresh bread, quality meats and all the right fixings.

YES! YES! YES! I was originally like — this place has almost 5 stars? WTF?! Now I am a believer. This place is the real deal. I went here with my wife and kids and we were STARVING after eating camp food for a few days. We had a fun conversation with a group of people sitting right next to us. AMBIANCE ========== Authentic, rustic little sandwich shop with a ton of character. It really complements the overall experience including aesthetic of this cool little town on the Pacific. Not a lot of seating, so you’ve been warned. FOOD ====== RUBENSANDWICH Crispy Rye Bread, Hot corned beef with gooey cheese smothered in sourkraut Decent portion too. RATING: 5⁄5 SRIRACHAPOTATOCHIPS They had me at Sriracha, but it didn’t deliver. Much more kettle flavor than sriracha, they need to work on it. RATING: 3⁄5 BEVERAGE ========= COFFEE It was hot and good, but a little too acidic for me. RATING: 3.5÷5 PRICE /VALUE ======= Lunch for 4 with beverages was around $ 50USD. SERVICE ========== We received friendly service. 5⁄5 HIGHLYRECOMMEND.

Love this place! Unassuming little deli with delicious sandwiches! We had the calamari steak with tartar, crab and cheddar and a salad. Both sandwiches were are sourdough. Everything was amazing fresh and quickly made. Sat on the back deck with the hummingbirds and ocean breezes. The beer offerings were vast and a nice selection of craft soda. There is even a case selling seafood if you want to take some back to your home or camp.

After spending about an hour searching for a spot to have a late lunch in Mendocino, we were fortunate to have found this place. You can customize your own sandwich and this was probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The staff is super friendly and helpful — I’ll definitely be visiting next time I go to Mendocino.

Great little shop with so much to offer. Had the special of the day — Grilled Wild Alaskan Salmon. It was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Helpful staff and quaint place with delicious food! A must when in Mendocino!

Mendocino Market has been a favorite, and every year I return so I can enjoy my gluten free sandwich. If you come here, order a sandwich, they are a must eat! They also have pizzas, salads and other deli items. The other day I ordered a little less than half a pint of the albacore tuna salad and was told the only option was a ¼ pint or a ½. I did not want to eat a ½ pint in one sitting, I realized it was not quite enough to get me through till dinner so I added a ¼ pint of potato salad. I was disappointed in both, they were good however they were not at the level I expect from Mendocino Market. I will return, and I will be sticking to the wonderful sandwich’s I remember!

A-. After a great day hike at Russian Gulch State Park we decided to have lunch at Mendocino market. We ordered 3 different sandwiches and they were all fabulous. I had the grass fed Angus beef burger, which had all of the fixings on it including jalapenos and bacon. They actually diced the jalapenos and bacon so you taste it and almost every bite. The flavor played with your emotions. This place is a hidden gem within the very small town of Mendocino. They had nice seating around the back which made it great to be able to enjoy it on the spot. The only reason why I gave it A– it’s because they did not have traditional potato chips and only carried the kettle corn chips which I’m not a big fan of.

The tastiest sandwich option on the Mendocino coast! This is «create your own» sandwich shop like you would find in a grocery store deli, except at a much higher quality. The food is great simply because of the quality ingredients. All of the deli meats, cheeses, and veggies and produced locally. There is also a nice selection of NorCal bears.

This was such a great find!!! We stopped here to get sandwiches for our trip to Russian gulch. We were not disappointed. They have a great selection of meats and other sandwich fixings, along with fresh breads and salads. They even had pork buns and samosas today too! I got the hummus avocado sandwich with bacon on Dutch crunch and it was incredible. My partner freaked out because they had sprecher root beer in the fridge. So delicious!

Another fantastic visit at the market/deli which stole my heart before! This time around I was all about going after one of their piled high sandwiches. The ordering process is just like before where you take a pen and one of their forms to concoct the perfect sandwich. This time around I went for a sliced roasted chicken sandwich with all the suitable fixins’ I love. The guy at the counter was very nice and seemed grateful I knew the process as I’m sure there are some tourists he wants to jump over the counter at. About a 5 min wait is all we endured and our sandwiches came out perfectly composed and wrapped, umm well mine was a little wonky but I really didn’t care because I wanted to tear into like a starving bear! Brought the sandwich back to my room and did unspeakable things to it… it didn’t have a chance which is why I’ll be back again soon!

GREAT sandwiches and sides here. In an area where the food seems a little on the overrated side, this place stands out. Throw this into Sacramento or down the street from where I worked, and I’d be eating here a lot. Potentially daily. Was there anything particularly crazy or noteworthy here? Not really. But the goal here is to make good, quality food. And this place delivers. If you’re in Mendocino and you want a simple, delicious lunch, this is the place to go.

Functional but not mind-blowing deli in the town of Mendocino. We stopped by for lunch on a Saturday. I had two crab cakes, a salad, and a bag of chips. The wife had a sandwich. I ordered the crab cakes because there were some freshly-steamed crabs in the deli case, but the cakes turned out to be pretty dry, bread-heavy, and tasteless. It was kind of a pity. The salad was fine, and my wife liked her sandwich. They have a surprising collection of Belgian beer options in the fridge, which is nice. Otherwise, our experience was unremarkable. Next time I’m just gonna have a sandwich.
