This location is terrible. The store is small and cramped and the register is right by the entrance, so it creates a huge bottleneck at the door. Their products are cheap and fall apart in a week or less and it’s a hassle to make a return. The customer service is crap. The staff is anything but knowledgable and helpful so don’t waste your time or your money here.

The only things I buy here are waxing supplies, so when I go, I’m on a mission to get what I need and get out, no lollygagging. However, while I can usually grab my items in about 30 seconds flat, I spend forever waiting at the register. Last time I stopped in, I had about $ 3.05 worth of merchandise. I walked up to the counter and proceeded to stand there for about 5 minutes, looking around to see if anyone was actually working in the store. I finally saw someone waaay down at the other end of the store stocking, called out loudly enough to get her attention, and she finally shuffled up to the register to ring me up. She then proceeded to comment that«Well, I’ve only been back there for 5 minutes, so you can’t have been waiting that long.» Excuse me?! If I had had anything smaller than a $ 20 bill on me, I would’ve dropped 5 bucks on the counter and just walked out. I can’t believe that that kind of customer service is acceptable. Sally’s definitely has stuff that you can’t get elsewhere, but I only shop there because I have to.

Sally Beauty was my best friend in Beauty School. They offer up cheaper options in the way of hair, nail and skin care items. Seeing as how you supply your own products in Cosmo school, the cheaper they are, the better. No one paid me to attend school, so I would jump at the chance to get something cheaper any time it was available. Even now that I am licensed, I find myself going to Sally for brushes and combs and a lot of my pedicure items. It is one of the only beauty supply stores that is open to the public– most require a Cosmo license now. They have a large aisle filled to the gills with hair color products. Of course, it is not the box-hair-color. *shudder* Even Sally knows the ramifications of using box dye on your lovely locks. What’s a clueless gal to do when she finds herself in the aisles of Sally’s hair coloring and knows not how to formulate said color? Simply ask the staff inside the store. Most Sally’s require a Cosmo license to work on site, and they can help you figure out your natural level and what shade you should put on to achieve your desired color. I love this particular location. The staff is super friendly, and I’ve witnessed them help many a clueless gal on many occasion. They never act like it is putting them out, they actually seem excited to offer their customers hair care advice.

I could spend a whole afternoon in Sally’s, I swear. I get completely overwhelmed by the possibilities, although I have zero idea how to use the various hair dyes and developers(and they carry a good selection) in the store. I love getting eyeshadow, lip pencils, and nail polish there. It’s my ultimate favorite. You’ll always find the latest trends in colors, and the majority of the products are salon-grade. You’ll find Hot Tools for your hair — I bought a straightener there back in 2001 and that puppy still works.
