Ryan Patrick Salon

I was in town on business and wanted a haircut. I don’t have a regular stylist at home, so I never fear trying out a new place. Ryan Patrick Salon had good reviews, plus it was close to my hotel. Lucky for me, they were able to get me in immediately.
I had a great experience with Kaylie Wright who gave me a nice cut and style, adding some layers and giving my long limp hair some body. She recommended I try Bumble & Bumble’s dry shampoo and avoid shampooing wet every day. I took her recommendation and splurged on the product. Can’t wait to try it!
Everyone was nice, it’s a clean salon, and there is a cool product & accessory section.

I came here specifically to have my hair cut by Melissa who I learned about from a lady I met through a business meeting who had an AMAZING haircut! So I had to know who cut her hair…
The difference in a person that is a stylist vs someone that just cuts hair is a stylist cuts based on the persons hair texture, their facial features and now they wear their hair and style their hair. I have very thin hair and if not handled properly I can look like joe dirt with a mullet real quick! I am very pleased and can say this is one of the best cuts I’ve had– ever. And I’m used to going to other salons for my cuts by women in the business for years.
Regarding the salon. It’s very nice. They sale everything from handmade jewelry to all of the top hair care products.

Ryan has been doing my hair for many years– i would follow him anywhere– and I have! The other stylists are great too. The salon is in a great location with a nice atmosphere and professional and friendly staff. Aveda and Bumble & Bumble products put it over the top

I drove 40 minutes for this wonderful salon experience! Place was recommended by a friend and I called for an appointment and was lucky there was a cancellation and I was able to get color and blow out with Monica. She was adorable and fun and greeted me with a smile and she has terrific hair always a good sign. She took the time to match my base perfectly she was engaging and made me feel like this was a special treat which it was! She even took extra time at the end to flat iron and with my long hair that is no small task. She now has a regular customer in me!
The salon itself has a clean modern interior with friendly receptionist who offered me a drink and showed me to cushy chairs with magazines. The owner Ryan is very nice and professional and I also had a shampoo by Marlin which was amazing like a spa experience! Check it out a great find and I’ve had my hair done all over including Germantown Day Spa and Goulds.

Thanks to Carrie for fixing me up. My regular hairstylist is 2 hours away and while it’s worth the drive, sometimes my work schedule doesn’t allow me to travel to get beautiful. Today I visited Carrie and walked out feeling like a new person. The salon is well done with décor and they even have a small boutique attached with jewelry and gifts. Everyone was very kind and complimentary. If you are looking for a new do, I highly recommend giving them a call.

I love Christie Kirby! She moved recently to Ryan Patrick and it’s a really relaxing environment. I have dark hair naturally that likes to turn strange colors when less talented stylists have tried to make it blonde. Christie gets it right EVERY time. I keep it very blonde and I’ve been trying to grow it out. under Christie’s care it is super blonde, down to my shoulders and healthy! She is fabulous. My sister keeps her hair dark and recently cut it super short. Again perfection! I cannot recommend Christie enough and I love her new home at Ryan Patrick! I recently moved from Memphis to Portland, OR and I am so traumatized at the thought of having to replace Christie. Believe me, if I had the means I would totally fly I to Memphis to let her take care of my hair.

UPDATE: Kerry at Ryan Patrick Salon called me to offer my partner and I haircuts free of charge to remedy the situation. Clearly they are interested in offering good customer service, which I appreciate. I may give them another chance with another stylist.
Original Review: My partner and I visited because we’re new to town and familiar with Bumble and Bumble Salons from other cities. The salon itself is nice and well-​kept, but I should have recognized the giant red flag – there were few stylists and the salon was dead.
We forged ahead anyway and had Whitney cut our hair. She messed up BOTH hair-​cuts. When asked to texturize mine, she simply cut chunks straight off her guide line, resulting in several uneven, blunt ends. The end result is a far cry from a modern men’s cut, but passable. (I didn’t ask her to fix it because I wasn’t confident she had the skills to do so.)
As for my partner’s hair, she shaved a bald patch right next to his temple because she started shaving without the guard on.
As I type this I can’t believe we paid and walked out of there. Save your money and go elsewhere.
