It’s tough for me to rate Heritage as I had a side salad. I can say that the setting is not the best. It’s kind of barn like, but dim. We ordered beers and then dinners when the beers were served. The spouse got a lobster roll that was served with house chips. I later found out that he ordered the bread basket that I thought was complimentary. His lobster roll was large and the chips were crunchy, if a bit done. The salad was ok– nothing special and I got extra dressing to dip bread in. The bread basket had jalapeño corn muffins and sweet cornbread. Just ok

My wife and I went to this restaurant in high hopes of finding a fun new place out east. We met two other couples in the bar about 30 minutes before our reservation. I like the large size of the bar and the fact there are many seats. The worst part of our entire night was the service. The bartender started it off, by not even acknowledging us for at least 8 – 10 minutes. Then she finally came by and said she would right with us. She poured 2 glasses of wine and proceeded to have discussion with the other patrons. Finally after 15 minutes, she came and took my order of a glass of wine and a beer. If I wasn’t meeting others, we would left along time ago. I am usually not one to complain but everyone around us seemed indicate she was the worst bartender they had encountered in some time. The last couple arrived and we were seated promptly at our table directly in front of the bar. This where we encountered a very nice waitress after a few minutes. She took our drink order and then we sat for almost 10 minutes. The drinks finally came and we ordered 3 appetizers. The nawlins Bbq shrimp, crab dip and Parmesan steak bites. The only one that everyone liked was the shrimp, which had a nice spicy sauce. The crab was so-so and the steak over cooked, definitely not worth $ 14. About 5 minutes after the apps arrived our first entrée, was delivered. It was was over 10 minutes before any of the other entrees arrived. I had the lobster roll and it was good but the lobster is always good. We ordered another round of drinks when the entrees arrived. But as you probably can guess, two come and the rest do not for 5 – 10 minutes. The general opinion of the table was that food was good not great. Service was horrible with our waitress disappearing numerous times. The manager was too busy flirting with a lady at the bar or going outside to smoke. I could understand the service issues if they had just opened but 5 months later the service issues should be ironed out. The biggest complaint was the bartender who could pour two of the same beers at one time. I would say the owner must really get the service issues resolved quickly or this place is history.

Had brunch here last weekend with the family. It was better than average I would have to say. It seems they may have some kinks to work out still, no garnishes for the Bloody Mary bar?! The mimosas are good and priced to order many more! My husband and I split the shrimp Benedict and the Johnny cakes. I don’t know if it was us breaking our diet for the first time in a few weeks or what but those Johnny cakes were delish. May prefer corn cakes to pancakes now because of those. The shrimp Benedict was okay, but the shrimp were puny in comparison to dish. It was reasonably priced however, so I can’t complain. The atmosphere is great! Our waitress was very bubbly and attentive. We would go back and try other dishes!

Good meal! Great atmosphere and both meals hit the spot. Half lobster roll and chowder was spot on. Not quite a Boston lobster roll but as close as I’ve had out of Boston. The lobster is not freshly cooked as it should be though. Chowder was really good with no fishy taste at all but did come out not more than warm. Very good though. The burger was fresh and flavorful and wasn’t greasy. Service was a bit awkward and a bit spotty. We did enjoy our meal overall and will try the place again.

I’ve been to this restaurant space countless times. In other words, it seems to be a new restaurant every few years. Well, I hope this time is sticks because I love Heritage Tavern! This has quickly become my go-to spot for lunch when I’m in East Memphis(I know, I know, I do actually leave the loop!). Upscale enough to have a business meeting there but not so expensive that you break the bank. In other words, ideal. I haven’t gotten through the entire menu because I keep ordering that delicious cheeseburger BUT there are plenty of options for ya.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Boy, it feels good to say that out loud doesn’t it? It is worth a trip here just to see the enormous flag on the wall. It is really beautiful. And if you feel like saying the pledge before dinner, by all means do so. The concept here is brilliant and I love it. This is America at its finest. This is a great representation of our heritage and culture. The name suits it well. The menu is so well thought out that It’s hard to make a decision. I was starving and I left full as a tick. That’s because I sampled as much as I could of the sides without ordering a complete meal. All of the little extras make it special. House made soups and salad dressings. Salads with candied bacon and seared cherry tomatoes. Bread baked fresh daily. Fresh made vegetables. I’ll bet there’s no canned food here. This restaurant is all about quality. I even noticed the dishes themselves are all about quality! Given the food quality, location in town, and scale of the building, the prices are justified, but a little above my means to become my favorite lunch spot. Special occasions, however, will make this be where you want to impress your date or out of towners. If you want to do something special for a veteran, do him a favor and bring him here!

A little tough to find, but worth it. I love the concept here! Menu is divided by region and it really works. I’ve had the lobster roll, the Parmesan tenderloin and my favorite, zucchini fries. Although I’ve only been for lunch, I’ve heard the happy hour is great.

Dry, bland food, understaffed, slow kitchen and some awkward moments. The wait was 10 minutes on a Friday– nbd. The hostess was running around between bussing tables, carrying waters, bringing out food, taking names at the door and seating people. Were seated and ordered an appetizer and then about ten minutes later, food. Waited an hour for the appetizer and it came with the food. The pork chop was cold, dry and not well seasoned. Table next to us figured out the cup and bowl are the same size but one is $ 2 more and told the waitress. Bill was wrong when it came and waitress fixed it and bravely and sweetly apologized for the evening. The manager needs to staff and support better. Kitchen needs help, too.

I am not going to lie… I haven’t eaten here… YET! That being said this is likely to be our new go to happy hour hang out. Nice sized bar, friendly servers, 7 beers on tap… what more do you need after a long day at work? Watching the food come out as I sip my martini and I must say the fried chicken looks awesome!

Mediocre for the most part. Two stars for atmosphere and staff. However the menu was all over the place, intentionally I know, but it spreads em too thin. Just pick something and get good at it. I had an unimpressed salad, pork chops that were a bad cut and undercooked, with three apple slices on top. The side of broccoli is steamed and grilled for a minute. No salt, butter, seasoning, etc. just broccoli. Also had a $ 7.50 draft local beer. That’s too much man!

Come for the dinner, the brunch menu can be hit or miss. The prime rib is possibly the most consistently cooked and seasoned rib roast in any memphis restaurant. It is always amazing. For brunch, avoid the veal royale, or at least tell them to hold the bbq sauce. The veal comes out tasting like a cheap pork chop. The hollandaise sauce is quite excellent though. The service is always amazing, rarely an issue on that end. Rachel was our server this last visit, and she was very attentive and charming. Very good bartenders here too. It can be a little pricy, but this is good food, in a nice environment, in a nice part of town. Treat yourself.

We found this place on a whim. Menu is amazing, order what the waiter recommends ! We did and the good was fabulous! Servers were great, string drink pours, and cool ambiance. Have already been back twice!

Second time to eat there! They have a great happy hour from 3 – 7! Good prices on the menu. Service has been excellent. And the zucchini fries are to die for! Seriously one of the best apps I have ever had. Had their fried chicken(only on Friday nights) and its a great deal! The atmosphere is nice and we will return… Again and again.

Honestly I’m conflicted; I really wanted to like this place. I saw the menu online and was impressed, and I walked in and was impressed with the all-American ambiance. We were quickly greeted by a very warm server who was friendly throughout and made us feel so welcome. We were already discussing what we were going to try on future trips. But then the food happened… we started off with crab dip that frankly tasted like a canned tuna sandwich with too much mayo. The fact that it was cold already took me by surprise, but the taste of it was the dagger. We then got a heritage salad which was actually on-point. The ingredients were fresh, candied bacon was delicious, and was a good course. Then the gumbo came out. The gumbo was very bland and lacked any sort of pizazz. There was something funky about it that I couldn’t put my finger on, but I just didn’t like it. I only had about a quarter of it before giving up. I tried some of the lady’s pork chop and while it was better, it too was surprisingly bland; I was expecting it to be rich in flavor based on the description. A couple others at the table ordered the hangar steak, which they both stated was cold by the time it got to them. We topped the meal off with chocolate chip cookies which actually were quite good, but not unlike cookies I could get anywhere else. Again, I really wanted to like this place. Ambiance was cool, servers were really nice, and menu looked promising. But at the end of the day, food and value are tops, and for $ 70, I felt quite underwhelmed.

This past Saturday night we went to Heritage as it was the first time in 15 years without kids on Halloween. Penny was our server and she did a great job. She was dressed in a costume and(admittedly) worked in some puns to support her theme. She was fast, friendly, and attentive. The food was again stupendous. While I ordered a different main course this time(hot wings), I stuck with the side of grilled broccoli which was again very tasty. The wings turned out to be very good as well. We had the homemade chips and chipotle ranch sauce as an appetizer and it was great. I was once again thrilled with our experience at this fine establishment. Here’s hoping the business keeps it around for a long time.

Enjoyed the chandeliers and ambiance. Opening the bar into the main dining area was an improvement. Thinly-veiled lack of interest in serving customers demonstrated by the bartender — surprising for a brand-new spot.

Terrible service. Average to below average food. Lobster roll had a lot of lobster and a lot of roll, but that was all. Definitely worst lobster roll I’ve ever eaten. Waitress was uninformed, bored and barely available. Won’t be back.

This place could very well earn 5 stars as I go back. The dining room and bar area are both gorgeous and super comfy. They have a shared patio area with the other Regalia center restaurants. Apparently they have an upstairs dining area(party room?) The wait staff were all kind and all spoke to me.(I do have a cute baby girl, but still.) I ordered and was promptly served my half lobster roll with half a heritage salad. The salad was delicious for a house salad — lots of tender greens, eggs, croutons, jicama strips, and CANDIEDBACON! I could have just eaten that, but the lobster roll was what I came for. It was a buttery mini loaf absolutely chock full of lobster. There may have actually been too much lobster!!! Is that a legitimate complaint? Oh and the sweet tea in the fancy glasses is one of my top ten teas of Memphis :) Can’t wait to try their brunch and other menu items.

I was with a large group so many items were tried. The menu while unique is a mess and hard to read. No outstanding menu items to note. Everything was average at best. Some things like the crab dip and turnip greens are surprisingly bad. Honest to goodness, those greens were straight out of a can and heated with no additions. The cornbread is cold and dry. The best thing we had were zucchini fries and they were not unlike any zucchini fries you can get anywhere. It seemed like everything came with chipotle ranch dressing. This restaurant is close to my house. I wish it were better.

Unique menu. Look closely at the menu and you will notice a map of the United States. Stuffed shrimp jalapeños in the West. Lobster roll in the East. Steaks in the mid west. Menu items by region. Note the legend on the bottom left. A for appetizers. Sw for sandwich, star for dinner selection. I had an excellent lobster roll. A fresh roll and a generous amount of lobster. I asked for the ranch Chipotle sauce, otherwise could be dry. Two friends enjoyed their burger but had to request condiments. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. Lots of options for desert. 6 craft brews on tap. Ghost River, Sam Adams, Goose Island 312 and others. A full bar too. The staff was very polite. I will return.
