Attempted to book Fuel Food Truck for an event, but communication from Chris Watson was unprofessional and uninformative and eventually unresponsive. I’d write to Chris asking questions, and a week later he’d respond saying the same thing again: that they have bison, chicken, veggie or vegan tacos and Dirty Brand potato Chips. But in his first response he said there is a $ 600 food minimum and a $ 200 labor charge, and then in his second email he said it was a $ 250 labor charge. Okay. It may be worth visiting the truck to get food, but don’t try to book it for an event. Chris doesn’t want your money.

Ummm can I say amazing ! Fresh! Flavor! Best veg taco I’ve had! I also appreciated that they made it to my picky specifications. grilled with no butter, no oil — no sour cream subsitute. :)

Fuel Food Truck is the best food truck in Memphis. Their food is all natural and always delicious. I love starting my Saturday mornings at the CY farmers market or the Memphis farmers market with food from the Fuel Food Truck. I recommend the grilled cheese with eggs and bacon and any of their tacos. The bison tacos are my favorite. The food truck travels around town during the week and they always post their location on Twitter.

Ahhh, my first post in 2015. And I have to start 2015 with how I ended 2014 — a 5-star review. Love the positivity, y’all! :) Anyways, now THIS is a food truck. If you follow me on Instagram(or any social media), you know I’m obsessed with Fuel Café… and their food truck is a reflection of their awesome brick and mortar. Because it is the bomb too. If I’m at a food truck rodeo, this is where you’ll find me. And maybe back in line two or three times. As for what to get? You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but I’m totally in love and obsessed with their grilled cheese.

We usually try to grab some Bison tacos when we head down to the MFM on summer Saturdays. LOVETHE guys who do the cooking but the witch who takes the money needs to get a personality or stay at home. Apparently she’s married to someone who works there.

My husband and I got the bison tacos a few weeks ago while they were at the Mempgis Farmers Market. They were delicious and fast. I will definitely order from these guys again!

Uh, yum. Closest thing to an authentic street taco I’ve had since moving here from California. The Fuel food truck had a choice of chicken or bison tacos, and grilled cheese sandwiches with various add on’s. I came to Court Square a little late so they may have had other options earlier. I had the chicken tacos, because I’ll be honest I don’t want to picture a big hairy bison while I’m eating a taco. The tacos were pretty darn tasty, though a little pricey for street tacos I have to say. They also were serving what they called«hibiscus sweet tea», which I correctly guessed was what we call Jamaica with an «h» sound in Spanish back on the west coast. Good stuff! I would eat it again.

The guys are really nice who work there, and the bison and avocado taco was out of this world! I can’t wait to find it again, so I can try more of their stuff – I think they have a Twitter so you can keep track of where they are…

Fresh, local ingredients in delicious form. I’ve had the bison tacos twice, and they’re perfect! I wish I didn’t have to go so far in to Memphis to find this truck, but it’s worth it for a really great meal. The Hibiscus tea is also a lovely option should you be so inclined.

got to try fuel food truck at the grand opening for wiseacre brewery and tap room. we got the bison tacos as well as the vegan tacos. do yourself a favor and get the avocado added to the tacos. the bison is super mild tasting as far as meat. i found them to a tad greasy despite the fact that it supposed to be a lean meat. the vegan tacos were delish. the«meat» filling is the same one they use for their burgers. i heard the guy telling someone they sell their veggie burgers at whole foods. they are in the case. if so, i think i will will checking that out in the near future. next time, we will have to try more stuff like the grilled cheeses and dirty potato chips. p. s. the dude was nice enough to wrap them up for me so they would be easier to carry back into the brewery. thanks, well played.

Ok, have to say, I was not overly enchanted by the grilled cheese. It was decent. The cheddar was clearly of a good quality and it was cooked perfectly but outside of that it was«meh.» There are several things you can add to the grilled cheese – since I’m a vegetarian, I chose tomato and arugula. I think this is what really made it less exciting. The tomato was hot and squished all over the place and almost tasted like it had been cooked on the same grill with bell peppers or something? Maybe that’s just the flavor tomatoes get when they’re heated? The arugula just added a slightly different texture and it was a bit wilted. They were both just bad choices for a hot sandwich. I didn’t dislike it, exactly. And for what I paid, it was very reasonable. It’s just, after all I’d heard about how awesome this sandwich was, I expected more. I could make the same thing at home on the right skillet. So sorry to say Fuel, love the idea, but the execution? Bland and kind of weird.

Stunning food with a natural twist! Tacos and Grilled Cheese are the best. If you are lucky, get a Breakfast Burrito when they are available!

Visiting the Fuel Food Truck is a weekly activity for me when the Downtown Farmers Market is open. Their breakfast burrito is out of this world. The mix of bacon and salsa(which I was a little skeptical about at first) is a great combo that I’ve never had before. I’ve tried a few other items when they were out of breakfast burritos, which were pretty good. I definitely want to try their lunch food and the dishes in the restaurant, but if you see this truck in the AM, run fast and get the breakfast burrito!

I’ve eaten from the Fuel food truck on several occasions now and it doesn’t disappoint. The bison tacos have been the highlight so far. Great flavor and lots of food for a good price. Other highlights include the grilled cheese with proper fixins and the breakfast burrito at the Memphis Farmer’s Market. Check it out!

Chris, a HUGE thank you for the«heads up» on the Cordova food truck gathering! We were going to be good and eat leftovers for lunch… when we discovered the gathering, all bets were off. My fiancé chose Fuel. The Grilled Cheese just called to him, and rightfully so. Oh. My. Goodness. By itself it would have been a wonderment. Then add Berkshire bacon, tomato and arugula. H-E-A-V-E-N!!! In a food truck throwdown, Fuel would have won. Hopefully trips to the Dirty ‘Dova keep up, as this sammich is something we will both be craving!

I caught the Fuel truck today at the Food Truck Rodeo down in Court Square. I still haven’t been to the actual restaurant(I know– shame on me!) as it seems that every time I decide to go they are closed in that lunch-dinner interim. Needless to say, I was pretty stoked I finally got to try this spot– even if it was just the truck. I opted for the grilled cheese and toasted ravioli. I’ve heard rave things about the tacos, but I had a baby, a diaper bag, stroller and was wearing a white shirt. Knowing me, tacos would have been a disaster. It’s also been a really long time since I’d had a grilled cheese, and this happened to be a grilled cheese of epic cheese proportions. I don’t stock my fridge with fancy cheeses, so when I make them at home they are of the Kraft single variety– Velveeta if I’m really feeling crazy at the grocery store. And toasted ravioli? That’s a staple order anytime I see it n a menu. The wait was a little long, but it looked like they were making everything to order and the line was silly. In their defense, they were also the only food truck out of 10 that didn’t have a line 20 deep– they were going that much faster than the rest of the clan. Once my name was called, I could hardly wait to get my mouth around all that cheesy goodness. Both the sandwich and the ravioli were excellent. The ravioli was the winner, though. It had spinach and cheese and was dusted with a coating of Parmesan. I wish I would have gotten two orders. If you are ever in the vicinity of this truck, I suggest you stop for lunch. It’s also definitely worth a bit of a jaunt– so don’t let its location for the day deter you.

The Fuel Food Truck was parked on South Main during the Trolley tour last Friday. I’ve been to Fuel on Madison a few times and I was excited to give the food truck a try. By the time we got to the window they were out of tacos so I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon and sweet potato fries. The fries were served with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce that reminded me of a kicked up honey mustard. It was the perfect complement. The truck also had about 25 hot sauces lined up in front of the window. I was intrigued and wanted to add hot sauce to my grilled cheese. There were so many to choose from that it was kinda overwhelming. I don’t remember the name of the sauce I used but it had a nice smoky flavor and it made my grilled cheese that much more enjoyable. I look forward to ordering from the Fuel Food Truck again. I’ve great things about the tacos so I will give that a try next time.

Today, I caught the Fuel Truck while it was parked at the corner of Monroe and Front downtown during lunch. The menu is pretty simple, but it changes frequently. Today, the options were tacos(chicken, beef, vegan and veggie), grilled cheese, a few side items and brownies. All of it was $ 7 or less. I tried the chicken tacos, which were shredded chicken topped with salsa, cheese, and cilantro. They were just a little bit spicy and plenty filling(way more filing than you’d think they’d be for how cheap they are). They’re really portable, packaged in a paper to-go tub, sort of like you’d get at a ballpark. The guys in the truck will wrap them up for you, or you can be like me and shove them in your mouth while you’re walking. The Fuel Food Truck takes cash and credit cards(via an iPhone attachment that will email or text your receipt to you). You can find out where the truck is parked daily on Facebook and @fuelfoodtruck on Twitter.
