Very friendly environment, and delicious croissant breakfast sandwiches! You should ask about the specialty doughnut of the month too.

Fantastic donuts, jaw-dropping apple fritters, great service/staff. Popped in here today. Yum Yum Tasty Doughnuts, despite all the pleasure gained in reciting the name over and over, looks a little weathered from the outside. I’m going to imagine this place has been around since the 60s, as the main sign sits a little discolored, the roof shows nicks and dents around the periphery, and the metal door handle has not just been dulled, but completely warped from decades of sweaty palm pulling. Don’t let this bleak façade fool you however, because what you’ll find inside is nothing short of miraculous. They’ve got more donut flavors than you could imaginatively conjure, obviously perfecting the classics while also experimenting with a few secret house recipes(cherry cheesecake, banana crème, and oreo cookie flavored donuts). In the front display case, they’ve also got a serious spread of homemade fritters, not only traditional apple, but also peach and strawberry too. After a very lengthy hypnotic trance in deciding what to order, I went with an apple fritter, a chocolate cream(aka Boston Cream), and a marble-topped donut(you know, the one with chocolate and vanilla icing on top). The donuts were killer, and the apple fritter was trance-inducing. I don’t know WHAT they are doing to these little magical creations, but I’d wager that their apple fritters are worth a 30 minute drive out of your way just to sample one. Rich, moist, sweet, full of apple scent and flavor. I’m a huge fan now. The place also sells fresh bagels, and you can get an egg and cheese on bagel sandwich. My partner got one on an everything-bagel, and it tasted great — the eggs are microwaved mind you, but it was fast and tasty by my account. They’ve also got homemade soups and chilis. To top off the grand slam time here, the server behind the counter was a total charm, very welcoming and helpful. Can’t wait to get back there for more.
