Encrypt the lottery with a Peanut Butter and Jelly Donut while supplies last. Great place to read the wanted adds. Luong Hot tea or James Lipton Detroit Made. Lol!

My darling husband often makes the pilgrimage to the Fort St Yum Yum, battling other eager customers to get our share of these wonderful doughnuts(my favorite are the cherry chip, while his are the rare chocolate-glazed fritters) What prompted me to review today was a comment made by said husband while forcing ourselves to eat icky doughnuts(purchased elsewhere at 10pm last night) — «Once you go Yum Yum, you can never go back». Yes, the Fort St Yum Yum sets the bar a bit too high for other doughnut shops to beat, probably causing competitors to gnash their teeth in frustration. One note — regardless of hours posted, once they sell out, they close, so get in there early!

I was a little reluctant to try this place. It’s been there as long as I remember, and I had always driven by it thinking it just looked too old or something to eat at. Well, I never should have judged it by its façade. One Saturday morning my husband went out to buy cat food, and came home with doughnuts for us as well. They were hands down the best doughnuts in the area. You can tell that these are actually homemade fresh. The best part is that for two doughnuts and a coffee, he paid less than three dollars! You have to get there early though, because they do sell out. They have become a guilty pleasure that we indulge in every Saturday morning now.

Am I the only one who thought this place had the worst donuts ever? I came in once before noon and the donuts were disgusting. They were so stale. They made Dunkins donuts taste home made they were so bad. I’ll read the reviews maybe their is a certain time to come. I have yet to come to a place that beats Donutville.

After reading some positive reviews, I stopped in for coffee, a bagel, and a donut. It smells so good in there! The donuts are great. And they make the breakfast sandwiches fresh, which is nice(It’s an actual egg – not a microwaved egg-colored mush!). $ 5 for a large coffee, one delicious donut, and a fresh bagel breakfast sandwich. I didn’t think I could ever find a place that beats Timmy Ho’s, but I think this is that place.

***Great donuts & pastries created on site! The environment is comfy & casual and the service is quick & friendly. However, if you’re looking for a custom-made cappuccino, you’ll have to go to Starbucks!

The $ 0.99 apple fritters rocked. And wait until you try the coffee cake. Only $ 1.50 and I think there must be 10,000 calories in it… most awesome empty calories per dollar ratio ever!
