Mug’s Pizza and Ribs

I’ve been to this location and ordered pizza, a la carte ribs, chicken philly cheese sandwich, and their wings. I have no complaints whatsoever about the food.
Their wings are fried and crispy with sauce on the side in a container. Personally I like dipping the wings in the sauce and their crispy texture is great.
The chicken philly is a healthier option than the steak and tastes great, comes with onions, mozzarella, and mushrooms.
Their slab of ribs are great! For not being a rib joint they’re good. Tender meat with good Bbq sauce and comes with additional sauce on the side.
All items that I’ve tried are reasonably priced and good on portions. I’d give this place 5 stars but can only give it 4 due to the unhappy faces on some of the employees. A smile once in a while doesn’t hurt. Good food though and that matters most.

First time order through grubhub. Prices are good and portions are very plentiful. Ordered a pepperoni stuffed pizza and 1 side, food was great. Delivery was right on as grubhub predicted. Will definitely be back, driver was very pleasant. Overall good pizza for the area and price.

So I ordered a pizza with sausage and mushrooms and a few sides from here tonight. I had never ordered from here so I thought I would give it a try. Pizza was really cold when I got it and I did not receive everything I ordered. When the delivery driver came to the door he told me he forgot some of the things and that he would be back handed me the pizza and walked away before I could say anything, he never came back. This place is less than a mile from my house yet the pizza was cold which makes no sense to me at all and no excuse as to why I was missing things I ordered.

Great place! Very clean. My friend pointed out their nice clean white caulk.
Burger was like OMG good. And the fries! Such great portion sizes. I got out of there for $ 7 feeling full and hydrated.

Ordered pizza from here right when they opened. Delivery was pretty fast to Bensenville. The pizza was still hot and it tasted good. Will try other items when order again.

I just discovered this gem that moved into the neighborhood. I’ve ordered several times now and I believe they are going to be a Friday night and party catering staple! So far, I LOVE the ribs, awesome and at a reasonable price. Chicken is great, salads and both the garlic rolls and house made au gratin potatoes are amazing. I’ve had two awesome delivery drivers, Brian and Joe. Looking forward to winter hunkering down with my Mugs number on speed dial!

I had the wing and they were somewhat fatty and not the best bleu cheese. I heard they have good Pizza and Ribs. Good prices

Their pizza is really good! However, there’s so much miscommunication between the person taking the orders and the kitchen. I’ve ordered simple pizzas twice and they managed to mess them up both times. They’re cheap when it comes to their mistakes too, they will take the pizza back or give you a credit that’s less than 50% of what you ordered. If you’re ordering from here make sure you have allocated an hour for mistakes.

Tonight was only 2 stars would have done one star but I have given 2 because the potato skins were very hot and good. However the chicken was undercooked. Had to microwave it. :-(Also the chicken dinner was supposed to include a roll and fries, both were missing. Delivery took over 1 hour and 30 minutes, was going to call and ask where it was, but then driver showed up.

We didn’t even eat here. We sat down, looking at the menu. They don’t have hot dogs for kids. Not too big of a deal. The customer behind us was listening to videos on his phone so loudly we couldn’t think. Instead of moving to a different booth we just walked out. No one seemed to care. Guess that’s why there were only two cars in the parking lot at noon.

Had a taste for some rib tips and decided to try this place out. Used grub hub to order rip tips and garlic cheese bread.
Delivery time was about an hour and 25 min. I live bout a mile away.
Rib tips?.. Sub par. More like box of grease and fat. And when you did find some meat it wasn’t that tender. And you don’t really taste he bbq sauce. The more I ate it the more I didn’t like it. Squabs beats these tips hand down. BY FAR
Garlic cheese bread? Not too bad. Very garlicky (that was to be expected)
Overall disappointed. Squabs was already closed so I had to try this place out. I’m sure other thibgs on the menu are good but. When ribs are right under the name mugs you would think their ribs are amazing. I’ll pass on this one.

I first tried the Mugz in Des Plane around 2008 but usually traveled to the Arlington Heights location which was about a 40 min drive from home. So was happy to see that it would now only take 15min YES!
I was a little hesitant try this new location cause the Unilocal reviews are murdering this place.
Pizza — It’s still the same good pizza. It’s not lou malnati’s but much better then the typical $ 10 chain pizza joints. I wish they would get away from using Grubhub and build their own website. (If you order a pizza on grubhub you can’t pick items twice — I usually leave that request in the note section and they have always made the pizza how I wanted, but fear one day I’m going to get it differently)
Ribs — considering the a la cart price and compared to what you get from other BBQ places” I’m happy with it. I’ve only gotten the tips so can’t really comment on the slab
I’ve actually tried several items out besides pizza and ribs (Philly cheese steak, pizza puff, Italian meatball sandwich. cheese burger etc)
The best thing I liked about all of the Mug’s are that they are open from 3pm to 3am… this one is actually better because they open from 11am– to 3am. This location also has a seating area both inside and outside. something that wasn’t really present at the other locations I’ve been too. (the one in Arlington heights did have seats inside but don’t recall it being as large/​comfortable)
I usually always place my order in advance. 25 min wait for pizza. and about a 10 min wait possible for sandwiches and other items give or take a few.

Just ordered luch from this new place called Mugs, in Melrose Park and the beef was very chewy and the fries were cold no taste and soggy, and my coworker ordered pasta the sauce not so good! Huge disappointment! I see on the menu Rated Chicago Tribune & Voted by Chicago Suburban Times. Not too sure?

2^nd time ordering from Mug’s via Grub Hub. Very impressed!
1^st time; rib tips, chicken wings, half slab ribs w/​garlic rolls, au gratin potatoes & salad. All very good.
2^nd time; combo appetizer, Lasagna w/​garlic roll, salad, and side of meatballs, plus a side of au gratin potatoes. All very good.
To my location (Bensenville) both orders delivered in about 45 minutes. That’s good to me. Very nice delivery person. Will keep ordering and recommend.

This place is in Northlake actually in the former place that was Sonnys hot dogs. Mugs has several locations and the burgers and steak fries were excellent. Its just good to see this space used again and my main problem is how long it took for food to get out. The prices of items also seemed a bit high given is low scale look.

Can you say frozen pizza? Actually, frozen pizza tastes a whole lot better! Overpriced for the quality of the food. I have tried a couple of other food items on the menu and I’ve had better. Thanks but no thanks!

This place has HORRIBLE ownership and stupid employees. …I ordered pizza slices and they r way over priced first of all. secondly she put the napkins on top of the slice and it literally discentigrated into my cheese… who wants to eat napkins?? Thirdly the fried calamari looks like a white castle chicken ring… awful…last but not least the girl who took the order was constantly touching her face and hair… continued to handle money… blew her nose at the register and then continued to grab pizzas and touch peoples food… spoke with the management and was offered a full refund. .only to have them take a copy of my drivers license? ?? For what??? I will NEVER go back there and I hope anyone who reads this will not go… it doesn’t even deserve 1 star

I was not impressed by this place. Pizza was okay but way too pricey, $ 3.75 for a slice. Ribs were not to die for, Portillo’s are much better and same price. I also think their BBQ sauce needed some work for a place that advertises and promotes their ribs.
They waste a lot of money in packaging, they package your food even for dine it.
I also did not like how they have nothing but teeny-​boppers behind the counter. It was opening weekend and you should at least have some professional people there seeing as how first impressions are everything. We got half our order right away (pizza) and then the kid couldn’t even bring the other part to the table once it was done. I guess it’s more important to laugh with friends behind the counter instead of help customers.
Waste of money, just keep going to Cochicaro’s, this place doesn’t have what it takes to even compete with a Northlake original like Cochicaro’s! They advertise open until 3 am, but for what? All your going to get is old drunks while Cochicaro’s workers are home and safe.
Good luck, but with your prices I don’t see it lasting. Even with Grand Opening I thought you would have some specials? Guess I was wrong!

This place is great. The pizza is good, but the dough is a little too soft for me. The steak fries are fresh! I hope this place lasts… Open till 3am!!!
