Duffy’s Sports Grill of Melbourne

On my visit to Melbourne Florida I decided to go take in a Heat game since I was not in Miami to go. There are actually not much options for sports bars in Melbourne but decided to try Duffy’s since it was close to where I was.
Firstly there is ample parking so this is not a problem, it is located just off Evans road, obliquely opposite Melbourne Square Mall, hence very easy to find.
The wait was not long at all for a Saturday night, there is a bar area as well as seating if you want to dine with family, again this place is pretty spacious inside so you would not feel cramped. The place is very nicely decorated with sports memorabilia and football helmets from almost all of the college and NFL teams which makes for good conversation pieces. There are also numerous TVs so if there is a particular game that you want to see the waiters/​waitresses would accommodate and change accordingly. There is also an outside area for smokers or just if you wish to dine on the outside.
We had the calamari to start which was not the best that I had, but for a franchise operation it was not bad. Then we went on to have typical wings, we had 20 which was more than enough. We had beer as well and they were two for one on Saturday nights so it turned out pretty good.
The good thing about this place is that there is a rewards program which if you visit fairly often you could save some money.
With this being said would definitely continue to go as the location is fairly accessible and the price is not bad. The food is typical of most fast food franchises but in this case you get rewarded for what you buy which makes it a great deal if you go fairly often.

Had a mix up regarding a gift card of our own making. Chef/​manager Rob tried to resolve it but we had to call corporate We chose to email. Received call from corporate next day. Two ladies helped on subsequent days to solve problem. All were very patient with us and persistent to take care of the confusing issue we created for ourselves. Kudos to all of them.
Today we had seafood pasta special recommended by server Jordan. Excellent flavor and large portion. She had fish and chips. Fish was very tender and flavorful. Good service and good food with knowledgeable server.

Wow! I don’t get the negative reviews except for maybe some people expectations of a sports type bar exceed reality. Went there last Friday night with my adult son and my adult daughter and found the service great, the food way above average and the atmosphere more than acceptable. Arrived there around 7 PM and, as we expected, there was a brief wait! Great… time to go to the bar for a cocktail before dinner. Just the way we like it. They had two-​for-​ones and before we got the second drink we were seated. My son had the ribs and he said they were great … not too sweet and juicy. My daughter had the shrimp and she said it too as good. I had the wings. I am a self titled wing expert. They were great … way better than Buffalo Wild Wings or Beef”s wings! All in all, it was a pleasant night and the bill was reasonable! If you look at my other reviews you will see I do NOT give 5 stars often,. Duffy’s earned them!

The 3lb nachos, very dry, the wings, average. The bear and the game atmosphere is great.

I like this place. Servers are friendly and the food doesn’t disappoint. Good portions. Nothing extraordinary but basics. I haven’t tried everyeverything but their baby backs are great and the half rack is enough to fill you up unlike Chili’s, albeit I like Chili’s too.

I love Duffy’s. Two for one drinks all the time and the food is the best you’ll find for a sports bar. Ranked 4 stars instead of 5 because my wife can’t eat here. She has a soy allergy and there are no safe options for her.

I really had high hopes for this place. The atmosphere and service were good, but the food, meh and the prices shocking. I was there with my 2 teenagers. 3 meals, 3 sodas and an appetizer was nearly $ 70! The potato skins were very good, but that was all. My son had a barbecue burger and said it was just ok. My daughter had chicken fingers with mashed potatoes. The fingers were very spicy and potatoes tasted straight out of a box. The whole meal was left on her plate. I had a BLT off the football menu. The bacon was so thickly cut it tasted nothing like bacon. It tasted like smoked meat. ¾ of my meal was left on my plate. When a server sees that much food left behind they should always ask if everything was ok. The girl was sweet but she did not ask. I am not sure we’ll try again. That is a lot of money to waste.

If you are a boneless wings fanatic as I am, this is the place for you. They hand-​bread the wings rather than relying on the frozen ones that most places use. 2-​for-​1 beers make it one of the more affordable options in the area, and the sports atmosphere speaks for itself. Did I mention the service is fantastic? Top notch.

Good bar atmosphere. Nothing special about food or drink menu. Not many beers on tap, the usual selection — not much thought went into the drink menu. Good place to meet up with co-​workers because it’s convenient, but with friends I would go somewhere more fun with more selection and more personality. They have a lot of TVs so it could be good for watching a game, but again, it’s not really special in any way.

I would probably give Duffys a 4.5* review. They have a wide variety of food at a very resonable price. My in-​laws love the place and have a duffys card. I had the Ribs and wings combo with sweet potato fries and black beans and rice. Everthing was above average except the ribs were somewhat dry. I have had a steak and shrimp which was awesome in the past.
The service was quick and attentive.
The dry ribs and the run down look of the place would knock it to 4 but the overall quality and price bring it back to a 5!

The food is way above average for a sports bar.
The wings are great. The spicy pasta dish is excellent.
The amount of TVs is outstanding, and they are attentive to getting any sports channel/​game on for you.
Two for one beers.
The bartenders are very nice, attentive and professional, in particular Abbie has been very nice on several occasions. Its a clean place.

This was an okay experience. I ordered the burger and say at the bar. The onion rings that came with my burger were pretty forgettable. I ordered the 2 for 1 drink and personally thought $ 9 for a sugar piña colada concoction was steep. Also, you are limited to get the same drink on your next round which makes it extremely boring.
The burger was okay, certainly not the best I’ve had. It was obviously overcooked. The sharp edges of the party was a clear giveaway that it was made from a frozen patty…

Great food, friendly servers and attentive managers. Kids menu is varied and isn’t just hot dogs or macaroni and cheese. Beers are cold and iced tea fresh. Fish fry on Friday is a good deal and good amount of food. Chicken tenders will fill you up! Although the batter was a little spicy. This is a good place with a good variety.

I normally eat lunch here once a week foods ok nothing special. I went there because of a nice bartender made it a point to know my name. I ate at the bar with my son this weekend after we finished eating instead of asking if there’s anything else, I was told theres your check, pointing to the glass. Thanks Abigail I won’t be back not even for lunch.

My wife and i came here the first time and was very pleased. I had ribs that fell off the bone and were very tasty. My wife had the Philly Cheesesteak that was awesome. We will be returning! Great atmosphere and very clean.

Our second visit to this location and we will never go back. First time, there was a long wait for food but we chalked it up to being a busy college football day. Our server was very attentive and kept us well informed. The food came out and had clearly been sitting for a bit before it came to our table. The manager was at our table before our food came out and again after. She was very apologetic and took a percentage of our meal off the bill which we thought was fair.
We were in town for a soccer game and decided to try again at the request of our player. We were seated in the back of the restaurant and it smelled like dirty mop water. Our server was at the table rather quickly and drinks served in a timely manner. Dinner was ordered. Cheese sticks, two sandwiches and chicken mac n cheese. Simple enough… or so we thought. After 25 minutes and not even so much as the cheese sticks making it to the table. We pointed the time out to our server and she went to check on things. She returned to say that it should only be a minute or two longer and she had made the manager aware. Ten minutes later, still no food or a visit from the manager. We decided to go elsewhere. I spoke to the manager on the way out but only because I asked to speak to her. She just said that her kitchen was busy… really? 35 minutes for cheese sticks and sandwiches. No excuse!

Prices are OUTRAGEOUS on drinks. 2−4 – 1’s cost anywhere from $ 9 – 13 each. Ummm that doesn’t make them 2−4−1. Food is mediocre but tolerable. Prices on the food seemed to be much better than the prices on the drinks. Good environment for watching football games though.

My coworkers and I chose this place for a meeting one night. They offer good food, quick service, and quiet areas to discuss work if needed.
I ordered a draft beer and split an appetizer with a friend so I cannot comment on the actual restaurant. I can say our server was quick to take our order and easy to get his attention if we needed anything. My beer was served chilled which I like, and our appetizer (fried mozzarella sticks) were hot.
Our booth was clean and well stocked. The restroom was clean, well stocked, and smelled clean. I will be back to have a nice sit down dinner soon.
I really want to take advantage of their tailgate experience too. You can pay them to drive you, feed you, and purchase your ticket to a Miami Dolphins game.

Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Maybe 50 TVs with nothing but sports on them. What else can you ask for?

Duffy’s Dolphin Express: AMAZING!
Been going for years, and the only disappointment is Bud Platinum, Bud Lime and Dolphin drink are now a past thing. Everything else about Duffy’s is incredible!
I’ll be taking the Dolphin’s Express again, too. That was a great trip with other fans!
