C M Spitzer House Bed & Breakfast

This place was great! The staff was very accommodating! We had a great room and it felt like a home. It is more like being at family’s house than a hotel. We are choosing bed and breakfast over a hotel every time! We had a wonderful experience. Hailey made us feel right at home.

My fiancée and I were looking for a B&B to rest our weary selves on our way from Chicago to D.C. He found the Spitzer House B&B in an online search. At first, I was thinking «Victorian B&B? Sounds … fussy». I have to say we were really pleased with our stay.
The house is really cool and very well-​maintained as a landmark property. I notice the manager is young and a pretty cool chickadee. She had some great music playing in the front area, I think Florence and the Machine? I didn’t expect that!
Our room was really lovely, with a fireplace and its own thermostat, and our bathroom was super-​cute and old school… clawfoot tub, porcelain tub, a washbasin in the water closet. =) Our BED was the best part, though: eco-​friendly memory foam. I really wanted to spend the entire time cozied up in that bed. So comfy.
There were all kinds of snacks available during our stay, and in the morning the manager made us an awesome breakfast. We plan on returning here for sure!
