Called them at 7:45 on a Monday morning and left a message. The air conditioner at my rental property had died over the weekend. They returned my call about 8:30. I explained what happened and they said they’d be out before 11am. Not a bad time frame for a same day call. My tenant texted me at 12:13 to say they hadn’t showed yet. I called Medford Heating and asked when they would show up and said I understand things happen that may make them late, no biggie, but I just wanted to know to give the info back to my tenant. The man on the phone didn’t seem to get it and sounded just a little bit annoyed that I had called, but said that if they weren’t there now they should be there in a few minutes.
As requested, the tech called me not too long after to explain what he thought the issue was (he couldn’t start the A/​C to let me know if anything else was wrong) and give me a price. He also said he’d call me again with more info after he got it started. When he got it going he called me to say that it had needed freon and he did a tune-​up/​cleaning and gave me the price. Told me I could call the company to pay via credit card or they would call me. Nice guy.
A woman called from the company minutes later who was VERY nice. I used an Angie’s List coupon and cc and paid over the phone. She said she would send me an invoice via email today (as of 4pm, 2 hours later, I haven’t rec’d yet. I hope I don’t have to call for it :)
All-​in-​all a good experience and I will use them again when something comes up. Not happy with the cost, but I doubt any other company would be any cheaper :)

In a world of «Big Box» mentalities, this family owned company is doing its part to provide genuine service and a great product to its customers. The first time I called, Diana took 45 minutes to answer all my questions. I called back two weeks later, and she went over everything again!
