We saw the four-star rating and decided to try delivery. What a mistake! First, the restaurant name on Unilocal is Crown Chicken, but the web site comes up as PizzaBoli, somewhat confusing. We ordered a variety of items, chicken wings, a pizza(PizzaBoli) and a chicken cheese steak. Unfortunately, all items were terrible. The chicken wings were loaded with bread and were extremely greasey. My son couldn’t eat them. The same issue occurred for the pizza, called PizzaBoli Unique. The grease just poured from it. The crust was nothing special. Only a couple of slices were eaten. The chicken cheese steak was loaded with grizzle and/or bone. It was pretty much inedible. Anything good? Not really. There is no way we are going back to this place.

Darn good. Service was fantastic, food was good, and price wasn’t too bad. My girlfriend and I split a stromboli and gyro, with fries. Fries were thin and crisp which is a plus, the stromboli was enormous, and the gyro had a decent amount of meat. Only issues. Not enough tzatski on the gyro, and waited a little longer then I though I would for everything, but it was still fantastic. I highly recommend this place.

Terrific gyros tasty and meaty. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Only complaint was the time to produce the meal but it was so good that I can’t take away from the ratings.

Tried this place for the first time via delivery. Had the fried chicken which is excellent and fries, which as some have noted here, are crispy and not overly salted. But there were way too many for one person in the 3-piece box. Prices are very reasonable and the food temperature held up well despite the delivery time. It’s nice to have a good fried chicken place within a reasonable distance. No more having to drive to KFC in either New Kingstown or Lemoyne!

Excellent fried chicken, really crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Skip the sides — French fries are good though.

Excellent place that just opened up. Great selection, from lamb and rice to fried chicken and sandwiches. I asked and they are affiliated with Kennedy’s chicken in downtown Harrisburg. I was hoping because I went there when I worked in Harrisburg. Crowns advertises delivery but doesn’t yet have a driver. They have the least greasy fried chicken and other foods. Way better than KFC and other similar brands. They are also halal.

I was very excited to see a fried chicken place in our area since there was not one before. I was pleasantly surprised. The fried chicken was very good(my son asked for more). They have a very extensive menu, with some middle eastern dishes(which made me happy). We tried the chicken and rice, lamb with rice, fried chicken, fried shrimp and fried mozzarella sticks. The décor is basic but very clean and the service was quick and congenial. One tip, the menu on their walls only display meal deals(including drinks) but you can buy a la carte(see their printed menu). You can just buy pieces of chicken if you like. We’ll be back soon.

Fried chicken was very good quality and meaty, generous portions. You get to pick the pieces served, great prices. Cooked to order, waited 5 minutes to get Crispy steaming hot flavorful chicken, was a bit of grease after a few minutes due to it being quickly served fresh; it wasn’t left sitting in a heater tray to drain like other so called chicken places. The French fries were hot and crispy and had good fresh flavor. The onion rings were prefab but good not great; Average. Everything is served on picnic paper plates with a paper thin grease blotter sheet. The Décor is sparse at best, average tables and chairs, in a large clean room. The one person restrooms were cleaner than most individually owned and operated restaurants. Open 7 days a week until 12 midnight or later and they deliver. We will be eating here again soon.

Flavor wise, crown deserved 3 stars. I am judging this on a «fast food, cheap place» level. Much better than KFC, and the employees are polite and caring. My 4 star rating stems from this is way better than greasy KFC. Their fries were crisp and fluffy and their chicken was moist and flavorful. I ordered their spicy wings. I felt it could use a spritz of lemon on it and crown gladly gave me half a lemon. They greet you and say good bye when you leave. It’s clean, their menu is very very extensive and they serve Hershey ice cream on the dinning side of the restaurant. Very odd though, how they combine Halal meats with chicken«wangs». Is this the best chicken out there? NOPE. This is the only chicken place around aside from KFC, it’s less greasy, bigger menu and I will always support local. Plus, they seem to try hard to do a please customers. It is a nice option to have around here. I am afraid that they may have spread themselves too thin by being an ice cream/pizza shop/Halal-Gyro options/fried chicken joint/fried seafood restaurant. Maybe they are trying to cater to everyone, since they are unsure of what the demographics here want. P. S. I would steer clear of the popcorn chicken and chicken sandwich(minced chicken patties, kinda like the McChicken at McDonalds) These items do appear to come from the frozen section of a grocery store.

Drove by here many times waiting for it to open. Finally saw the open sign tonight! Ample parking(a plus). Kid friendly(another plus). The fried chicken was super super crispy, love the crispy crunchy skin except the wings were a bit salty for my taste. After eating a couple, I really wish I had a bowl of steamed rice(I’m Asian remember? I eat rice with everything… the French fries didn’t help ha). Speaking of the French fries, they were unsalted(a plus) and super crispy(another plus). The popcorn chicken, I could skip next time. I ordered it for the kids because it’s easy to eat but they were like the frozen kind. Looking forward to trying some of the other items on the menu. Greek pizza and gyro, perhaps?(plus fried chicken/fries of course)! The only thing they need help on is(and lots of it) is their décor. Ambiance is really lacking. Maybe put in a tv, some plants, paintings, etc? It kind of reminded me of eating at a «hole in the wall» place in the ‘hood, but, not. Other than that, I like it. I’ll be back.

By far the worst wing digs i ever ate the chicken tasted as if you dumped the sugar shaker on it. Then the chicken in the gyro was saltier then the sea. On top of this the 21 piece shrimp had a funny taste and they are basically popcorn shrimp. The lamb gyros were ok but there are much better places to get a gyro. I would say if you want chicken i would not recommend this place at all. Please save your money and go somewhere else. If i could give a 0 star i would, but its not even worth a zero star its with a negative star.

I came here yesterday for their opening day and I have to say, I was quite impressed. I had driven by this place daily for many months now, so when I saw they finally opened, I made an impromptu stop. They have a bit of a random mix of food; fried chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens, pizza, halal meals, etc. My friend opted for the chicken, I ordered a gyro combo. What impressed me the most was the staff. They were so friendly and courteous, even offering me a piece of chicken to try while I waited for my food. Now, I’ve already had fried chicken from the south, so I couldn’t say it was the absolute best I’ve had but it was very, very good, especially in an area that seems nearly void of fried chicken beyond excessively greasy KFC. The meat itself was moist and flavorful and the breading was perfectly crispy. I thought it might need a little more of a kick in seasoning, but I love all things spicy, so that may not be popular opinion. My gyro combo was pretty awesome. I’m not overly crazy about french fries, but these ones were good! My friend did mention that the mashed potatoes he ordered were a tad bland, but overall, enjoyed the meal, as well. I would definitely recommend giving it a try. The restaurant itself is no frills, but the food is delicious(not to mention, cheap!) and the staff is fantastic. One of the employees mentioned that they stay open until 3 — 4 A.M. so two thumbs up for that. This place was well worth the wait!
