Kids these days will never know the glory that was midnight drunk dennys smothered cheese fries. They used to be crispy. They used to be SMOTHERED in cheese, bacon, jalapenos and chives. It was the perfect«sober me up before I sneak back in the house» meal. Sorry kids. You’ll have to figure out a new place. Although I know your standards have slipped lately(side eye other millenials), I hope they have not slipped this low. 2 stars because its dennys and Im sober. Knew what to expect. Server Duffy made me add another star. Handling the whole place on his own with a smile on his face. One more star for the nostalgia.

Absolutely excellent service by Pablo my waiter. I ordered the new Spicy Country Skillet. It was excellent. I love spicy foods. I arrived at 11:30 for lunch on a weekday. There was no wait. Food was out in ten minutes. Great job! Facility was clean. There was not one dirty table around me.

I usually get the Build Your Own Grand Slam(which comes with 4 choices) whenever I go to Denny’s. Generally, I select eggs and biscuit, and order coffee, and this fills me up. On the last visit, I tried the turkey bacon, which isn’t too bad. I got the sunny side eggs(each order is 2 eggs on the Grand Slam) and scramble eggs. The eggs are always decent. Service is always pretty good at this location. It makes for a decent and fast meal each time. Oh, and I also would like to praise the Denny’s menu as it provides the approx. total calories count for each entrée/dish on it’s menu. It’s definitely something other restaurants can learn from. It’s a good place to visit if you are counting calories, and if not, the deserts look so delicious!

Not pleased at all. I asked for a turkey sandwich with NO ham or bacon. It came to the table with both. I sent it back 2 times and they just pulled the bacon and ham off and did NOT remake the sandwich. If you don’t make t right the first time at least have the decency to make it right the second time. This is not quality service.

Don’t come here after 11! Awful service. Bad food. They tried to charge us for soft drinks when we all ordered water. We also got the wrong order and not only that, the food was burnt and cold. When we confronted the manager, all she did was take .30¢ off. So bad.

Very disappointed with this Denny’s for Mother’s Day today. I came here with husband, three kids, and my mom. The lady at the front did not greet us and did not smile. No customer service skills. When asked to be added to the list she made us write our own name down. The wait for a table was not bad except that they sat us at a table that we clearly did not fit at. We had a high chair and once everyone sat down including my baby in high chair, my husband was left standing. The waiter who seated us stared at us for several minutes and then shrugged. We asked for a booster seat and crammed the baby between myself and two kids. The waiter watched as my husband stood there still with no seat. We had to ask him for a chair. When the woman at the front saw him bring us a chair she snapped a question to him as to why he was bringing it. He said it was for my husband to sit down. She rolled her eyes then snapped her head away. The food came after an hour of ordering and it was cold. The waitress was nice but clearly no one working today was ready for the volume of a Mother’s Day breakfast crowd. We won’t be back.

Went there for my birthday. Took my wife with me. Started off with talapia with cheesy mashed potatoes and wild rice. Great meal. Asked about the free meal for your birthday deal. Was told after we ate the talapia that the free meal only applies to a «slam» meal. I asked if I could get a to go slam meal. The mgr said no. However, I could eat some of the slam and doggie bag the rest. I’d also ordered desert. I ended up doggie bagging the desert and eating the slam. I got the check for the meal. They subtracted the BYO Slam but I found out I paid extra for eggs and bacon. I guess the BYO slam only consisted of pancakes and sausage. Bottom line, the food was good but would not have come here just for a free meal if I’d known the rules.

Well, today I came for my birthday grand slam breakfast. Usually the service here is friendly and fast. Today, the gentleman taking care of me is putting a major bummer on my birthday. He isnt a ball of fire. Shuffling feet, no smile… all business. Cant put my finger on what is exactly off. He isnt rude, just not nice. Didnt even wish me happy birthday! :) The food is fine… but im certainly leaving in a crappier mood compared to when I arrived. The dining experience is just as much about the surroundings and service as it is about the food.

Will never go there again. It was slow and the food took forever to come out. That’s not even the worst part. When the food came we were served old food. Not fresh at all. Not even the eggs.

I like Denny’s in general(unfortunately the one nearest us can’t seem to keep itself clean: ), and this seems to be a pretty good one. Place seemed clean(but who can tell in Stafford and Sugar Land — no posted or online inspection reports), waiter was nice, and food(breakfast) was simply outstanding. Eggs cooked perfectly(yes, you *can* mess up an egg), lots of «stuff» on hubby’s omelet, fruit fresh and tasty, coffee and orange juice good, real cream for the coffee. The décor is pretty weird, frankly. They’re trying to be a 50s diner, but I don’t think a pressed tin ceiling and random art reproductions really goes with that. But the booth was comfortable, so it’s all good. Edited to add: Don’t *ever* order a steak here. YUCK, YUCK, YUCK. Stick with breakfast.

We came here around 9pm for a Togo order. There was clearly no one available until we kept looking into the kitchen waiting for someone to notice us and we finally ordered at 9:10pm. It’s now 9:36pm and I’m still waiting on my food. This one guy named Antwone(sp?) was really the only person who showed genuine concern. He’s probably the reason we got our food. He asked our server about it and she just kept saying«I’m waiting on the food,» loud enough for us to hear, however never took the time to tell us about it. In the end the manager gave us complimentary water. oh the joy! I wouldn’t want another dish, knowing it’ll possibly take another 30 mins but I think its fair to say I did expect something more– maybe a coupon off our next meal or something. Really shitty customer service. The food was okay, but that could be because they make sure you’re REALLY hungry before you get to eat it.

It’s denny’s :/we went to 59 diner. stood, no one seated us– a very busy waiter said– have you been helped? No– please go ahead and sit right there– so we got a booth. Noone. Same waiter– Noone has been by? No– I will send someone. There were plenty of people there, I Have NEVER walked out of a restaurant– then we went to denny’s nearby– Immeditely seated, immediate service drinks order. The food was fine– so I’m ok with it– just not a fan as I worked at IHOP through high school and college– the food is just too simalar for me but there wasn’t anything wrong at this location it was Ok.

I came here for the free Dynamo grand slam, which isn’t a bad deal at all. If the Houston Dynamo score two goals and win, everyone who attends the game gets a coupon for a free Dynamo grand slam. You can also have more than one coupon per table, which is great for my parents and me. However, a couple things went wrong: Rachel, the waitress, said I could substitute hash browns for pancakes, so I did. AFTER she brought the food, she said there were no substitutions allowed and had to charge me for the pancakes. Why couldn’t she have told me that before she brought the food? I would have changed my order. Instead, I was forced to pay an extra $ 2.29 for hash browns, and I don’t feel I should have been forced to do this, given I was misinformed. Rachel accidentally charged me for four grand slams instead of two. She took two grand slams off, but when I went to pay, the manager said my bill was $ 18. I explained the waitress made a mistake, and that I shouldn’t have to pay for any grand slams. Since he didn’t believe me, he had to go find Rachel to verify. And by the way, the manager never smiled, said thank you, come again, sorry for the mistake, etc. Here is how the bus girl cleaned another table: –Wipe down table with the same napkin people used during eating –Clean table with tablecloth and some kind of cleaning fluid(could be just water, who knows) –Take a napkin from the cart of dirty plates and wipe down I have no idea if the napkin she last used was clean or dirty, but the fact you’re pulling a napkin off of the cart and using to clean bothers me. I will probably go to Denny’s again because of the free coupons, but I wouldn’t recommend coming to this location to eat. The place was completely packed at noon. I’ve been here before 9−10AM and no one has been in the restaurant. So, if you are going to come here on a Sunday morning, get here early!

What can be said for Denny’s? It’s one of your many typical breakfast/diner type chains that dishes out the standard fare you find in such places. You do not go here with the idea of fine dining in mind. You go here for a quick, convenient and conventional meal with the hopes that your tummy will stay satisfied and keep calm after the inevitable greasy consumption. Those thoughts aside, this Denny’s has so far been consistently clean and the food has been okay. In these type of establishments I often stick with the«old tried and trues», which are pancakes, eggs, sausage, hash browns and coffee for breakfast items and various sandwiches for lunch. You can usually rest assured that these items are going to come to you decently and cooked how you like them. Denny’s has not disappointed me in the foods I’ve ordered. The eggs are cooked to my specific liking, hash browns are crisp without that middle sogginess(although once they were a little lukewarm in the middle, but nothing to complain about), sausage links have a pleasant taste and are cooked well. The pancakes are light, fluffy and filling. I’ve never had a dry, heavy pancake here. You know the kind that sits in your stomach like so much dry cement? Well, thankfully this Denny’s doesn’t serve that kind. As mentioned, this Denny’s is clean. I’ve found no food debris or other various trash on the tables or floors. The friendly servers do a great job cleaning up and keeping things in order. Attentiveness has been spot on but never rushed. I’ve never been left just sitting, whether it’s been upon arrival or at the end of the meal. The outside architecture and inner décor is cutesy and kitschy in homage to the bygone 1950’s diners while still remaining Denny’s. Gourmet meals? No, but I won’t mind coming here now and then on those occasions when I want a prompt and customary breakfast.

Sunday morning. I was up at 3:00 am trying not to disturb my wife. My dinners are always light so the next thing that I need is good breakfast. This Denny’s delivered. I got there around 4:00 am and ordered the Santa Fe skillet. The two eggs I had full fried. The crispy veggies and chorizo with its heat and salt were just right to become a good breakfast. I did not need anything more. I could eat about of this skillet. The service was great. This will be probably become my go to place once in a while.
