For a small, local business, this place ROCKS! They are always so knowledgeable and helpful, don’t even need to ask for help, but when I do, they always point me in the right direction or take me there themselves! They may not have everything, but they have a darn good selection, and I figure, if they don’t have it, I probably don’t really need it, or can wait to get it later. :) One tip, GREAT prices on healthy dog/​cat food. Only place I’ll buy Nutro for our cat.

You can’t ask for more from a local store like this. Localy owned, broad selection, good location. For problem-​solving advice or general information about the town, the staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. .. just ask for help.

The top reason for the 5 star rating is the knowledgeable staff — I have saved money and time based upon the staff and the owner, Mark’s advice for a «handyman» project I was doing. Not only are they convenient and maintain a reasonable supply of the things most people need i.e. sprinkler parts, plumbing, electrical and paint but prices are very competitive. Thank you

I have found the True Value Hardware to be outstanding. Owner and staff are friendly and very helpful. Whenever I need something I go to them first. They are knowledgeable and spend extra time sharing ideas for what I may be doing.

Everyone knows this is not a lumber company;but, a local hardware store that stocks most everything you could need from paint to propane.
It is nice coming into a store and be greeted with a smile.

What a wonderful Hardware store! It’s so handy to have it right in downtown Meadow Vista. They always seem to have what I’m (Paul)looking for, and it saves me a trip to Auburn. I (Pam) find all sorts of things I need there. Today is Labor Day and I’m out of Black Oil Sunflower seeds to feed my wild birds. They’re actually open today. They had the seeds and they were on sale. They have the «Bargains of the Month» like the other True Values nationwide.

This local hardware store is a good place for most of the things I need to get at a hardware store. Only once in twenty years did I not find what I wanted. The prices are fair considering they are local and must make a living too. They are open early which I appreciate. The staff is friendly and always know more than I do about what I’m looking for.

This is a poor excuse for a Hardware Store…
My neighbors and I are always wondering how this place stays in business… because they certainly do not stock the items that a typical homeowner needs!
EVERY time I’ve come here for a hardware or lumber item… they do not have the item in stock.
DO NOT waste your time or gasoline… just drive to Auburn because this place will not have what you’re looking for!
