Went here a few weeks ago with a group of friends. I have been here several times and the service has always been hit or miss, usually miss, so I tried to talk our group out of going but I lost out. We all ended up losing in the end. Their beer has always been fairly decent, but not on our last visit. It wasn’t very busy, but we had to wait 20 min just to get a beer. Seemed like they only had one person doing all the serving while the rest of the staff lounged around outside chatting. Roughly 45 minutes later we got out food and it was horrible. Only one person in our group enjoyed it, but he’ll eat anything. Pretty much all of us couldn’t even finish our beers they were that bad. It’s too bad because this could be a neat place but the staff just doesn’t seem to care about service or customers.

I appreciate the vibe of this place, we used to eat there frequently, but then they abruptly removed veggie burgers from their menu and, frankly, the food options aren’t great for vegetarians. That being said, we still take a growler in for a fill now and then(the Haystack Gold might be my favorite local brew) but, regrettably, it’s no longer a dinner out option for my family.

First time for us at the Grain Station. We enjoyed the beer options especially the dark lager and the stout. I had the BLTA and it was OK. Ordered it with marble rye but got it with sourdough. Ordered 4 wings with habanero pineapple sauce which was good but overall the wings were average. Wife had the burger with maple glaze and she loved it! Previous reviews complained about the service but we found it acceptable. We enjoyed our visit and will be back

Service is slow. Seating isn’t too comfortable since they’re picnic benches. Food is okay, not great. Worth going for happy hour prices and drinks, not somewhere I’d choose to go back, but I have since I’ve been with a few groups who choose this place. The larger the group, the slower the service.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our meal at the Grain Station Brew Works! Good food, nice setting, friendly staff, and great beer for a reasonable price.

Had lunch here today, good food and beer! Worst service I’ve ever had in my 50 years! 4 different wait staff and not one came back to fill water or offer a another beer. Could be a great place if the management could improve customer service.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere in this place which was the best part of our visit. The beer flight was pretty good as all the beers on tap were delicious. Food was really not that good and took too long. I hope the owner, who I met earlier that morning, gets the picture and turns things around based on others reviews as well.

Ordered the roast beef sandwich to share but it wasn’t a big hit with us. Dry bread and meat. Fries were old and cool. Usually we love the food here. Not so much this trip. We will go back again as we like the setting of an old barn warehouse feel and service is good.

You know that feeling, when your just dying of hunger and you finally pull into a restaurant? That was us as we parked and walked in. By the time we sat down we were feeling delirious from the smell of charbroil that was wafting through the parking lot. We ordered quickly, and our food arrived within 10 minutes. My pesto chicken sandwich was excellent as far as I can remember. Reuben’s, burgers and French dips were all enjoyed at our table. All of us inhaled our food, so I wonder if the starvation factor made everything taste better? Either way we would go back. The waitress was nice and attentive but the place was getting slammed by the time we were heading out and only two servers seemed to be on staff. Hopefully that was a one off situation and not the norm.

Great big average. Nothing worth mentioning. Beers are OK, food was OK. Don’t come here expecting much and you can have a beer and some pub food and be OK.

I’ve been meaning to try this place, I always hear great things, so I finally got around to it! Came in on a Monday during happy hour with my boyfriend. We were greeted by our friendly server, Nathan, he gave us great insight into the tap list and allowed is a few samples. I ended up with a coffee stout and my BF with a seasonal IPA. We ordered HH pretzel sticks that were so good and clearly made in house(Fresh dough!!), with yummy homemade cheese sauce. This first visit was nothing shy of fabulous and we both knew we’d be back. Unfortunately, we went again tonight(Wednesday) and our experience was less than we expected. The beers we ordered were poured perfectly and the server was awesome(did not get her name). The food… Definitely not as awesome as we had hoped. We ordered HH wings and they were crunchy and awesome. Per our servers recommendation, we also ordered the cheese steak sandwich. It came out with no cheese… First bad sign. The bun was not warm or toasted. The meat was fatty and dry. I’ve never sent back food before but… We couldn’t eat it. She immediately rectified the situation by bringing us fish and chips. They tasted good and it was hot. The fish may have been over cooked slightly, but still very edible. What saved this trip was the service. We received constant, meaningful apologies from our server. Additionally, we were happy to discover that our server comped all of our food — wings, sandwich, and fish. She definitely didn’t have to do that! We’ll be back, just will be very wary of the food we order! Beer is definitely worth coming in for.

I really enjoyed being here with my husband and the atmosphere is great. If you don’t mind lots of little kids running around at dinner hour. We didn’t mind. But I wish the food was better. It’s a long drive from Gresham to have meh food

We used to eat here quite a lot(3 or 4 times a week) the staff were always friendly and efficient and the food was pretty good. Then the food quality tanked! Over cooked fries, lumpy stale gravy on the bangers and old stale mash… frozen chicken breast barely shown the grill and frozen inside… THEBEERQUALITYCANVARYQUITEABIT… from great to rubbish… from clear to cloudy… when the brewer is on it the beer is excellent but when he’s not well it leaves a lot to be desired… same thing with the kitchen… It’s really is too bad they cannot have better quality control because it’s a great venue and as I have said the servers are great… plus the food can and has been very good in the past… Improve quality control and fix the problems above and I would be back in a heart beat!

Really like this place a lot. The interior is awesome… lighting is unique and gives off a great vibe, different areas for seating that suit the space well. The foods as delicious… portions are generous too. Service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the pulled pork, which I’m usually hesitant to do because nothing has ever compared to mine. However, these came pretty darn close which was pleasantly surprising. It is a sauce base, not vinegar, which I like better and the meat was good quality, shredded well. The sandwich could have used a condiment like mayo, or something as an option, or just add a little more extra sauce to keep it juicy while eating. Fries were tasty too. My husband and his dad both ordered specialty sandwiches, which they loved, and my mother in law ordered the fish and chips which she was happy with. Beer selection was good… we’ll go back again when we’re in the area!

The rustic, earthy accolades make you feel comfortable. A relaxing atmosphere inside extends outdoors to a fire pit… making okay beer enjoyable. Food is just so-so. We have eaten here 5 times mainly to see if things would improve… and they haven’t. Pizza dough is bland, fries have been returned on three trips due to being cold, fish tacos lack a Mexican flare and the pulled pork sandwich lacks an oink. Menu is void of originality… cough cough Golden cough cough Valley Brew cough cough Pub. Service and timeliness needs much improvement. It would benefit from a training class. Lastly, on one of our early outings my son found a watch and gave it to our waitress. A few days later on the GS Facebook page a picture of the wait staff was posted… and what did I see the waitress wearing the watch.

We had a good meal at Grain Station on our way to Lincoln City. Fresh hopped ale(Golden Paddle?) was tasty enough to order 2. May kids had the burgers, I had the Reuben, and I cannot for the life of me remember what my wife had. Maybe it was the two beers… I have a few complaints, none of which would keep me from going back. First, the wait was fairly long for a Thursday night. It seems like they could fit some more tables in the space, but obviously that may be out of their control. We did get our beers at the bar with no wait and settled into some chairs. The hostess did keep us up to date on the wait time and also brought us menus to look. The other small issue is that the pastrami in the Reuben seemed a lot like corned beef to me. And it was cut with the grain instead of across, which made it really chewy. That smokey flavor was missing, but besides that and the chew, the sandwich was good. Lastly, two small mistakes that the server made actually worked in my favor. I ordered a side salad with the sandwich and got fries instead. She corrected the mistake and gave me a fairly large side salad. And the fries were good! Also, I ordered a glass(menu language) instead of an imperial pint as a second beer and she brought me a pint. She only charged me for the glass and I drank more than I should have. Definitely a good spot to stop if you’re headed south and want to linger in McVille instead of speeding by on rt 18
