Great fries, cool museum, tasty sandwich, friendly service. Great museum café, and a wine bar right next door inside the museum. Winner, nice break from exhibit strolling.

My grilled cheese was dried out, the fries may have taken out a filling, but it was still better than most museum food. They’d get two stars if I hadn’t already been at the museum.

Although located in the Evergreen Space Museum, this café deserves its own entry on Unilocal as a good place to eat. You don’t have to buy admission to the museum to go in the café. I went to the museum with my family, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the Cosmo Café inside the space museum. It’s the type of place where you order and pay at the cash register at the counter, then have a seat and they’ll bring the food out to your table. The service was friendly, prompt, and professional. The food was superb — fresh ingredients, not rewarmed previously mass-produced and frozen junk you find at a lot of other museums and tourist attractions. To make it even better, the prices are VERY reasonable. The kids’ meals were $ 3.50 and gave them a full adult-sized cheeseburger and fries. The fries were AWESOME — on par with In-n-Out or 5 Guys. I had a reuben and fries for $ 7. That’s a lot better deal than I’ve found anywhere near where I work. Each of the tables has educational information about the solar system, too. My boys and I sat there reading about the solar system while we waited for our food. So in a nutshell: Tasty food, good service, low prices, and the background scenery is pretty cool. The combination make this a good place to stop to eat even if you aren’t going to the museum.
