They stood me up for 45 minutes, and no apologies nor good explanation. what kind of f’ed up customer service is that? It’s just so messed up.

I’m basing my review solely on my experience with Ampy. As mentioned by other reviewers, she truly is fantastic. I go to her anytime I need to feel a bit more cleaned up, topped and tailed, or girlie without emerging looking like an unrecognizable L.A. diva. This is a modest establishment compared to the upscale salons in the McLean area, but they have a devoted clientele and their prices are very reasonable. You may not be treated to jasmine tea or espresso upon arrival, but the ladies are friendly and expert. Think «Steel Magnolias» — it’s got the same heart and charm.

PROS: GREAT place for eyebrows, Ampie is A-​MAZING. She deserves 5 stars, the salon conditions are the reason for the deduction. She warned me it would take 2 – 3 sessions to get my eye brows right (waiting for hair to grow in). In the mean time she showed me where I needed to pencil and how to maintain. Even after my first session with her I recieved compliments on my eye brows!
CONS: I was almost scared to go into the waxing room, it was small, old and there was a cloth cover/​pad on the table thats cleanliness seemed questionable. A little pricey ($ 25) but so worth it.
Even with the salon conditions, I’ll still be back to see Ampie. Also, the reception staff was in training and had some issues with my credit card. A little annoying but staff immediately fixed the error, were honest and kept me in the loop, and kept me informed of the situation which was fixed even before I noticed. Keep in mind – you can’t tip on credit cards so bring some cash!

Hideous, horrible, horrendous salon. The salon owner claimed she was applying a Keratin/​Straightening product on my hair. The solution was a relaxer that has been removed from the market. I have spent ten times the amount of money on repair products to correct the chemicals. It will likely take two years for my hair to return to it’s normal texture. The hair cuticle was ruined to the core. Under no circumstances use this salon for a «so-​called» Keratin treatment.

If your looking for a great EYE BROW place this is it! I have been going to Ampie for 8+ years… I trust very few to deal with my eyebrows… girls you know what I mean! I have tried out more places in the area but after they all mess them up Ampie is there to save the day. I even moved to NYC and still would make appointments to see her every time I came back to visit my parents. now it is a bit expensive is the only down fall $ 25 new clients and $ 20 after… be prepared for her to criticize you and who ever has been doing your eyebrows… just take with a grain of salt… Ampie has an amazing heart! You have to go to her at least 3 times until she get the shape to grow in the shape best for your face.

This is the greatest place to get an eyebrow wax, pedicure and manicure! After years of searching for a wonderful salon and now I’ve found it. Ampi is a miracle worker with eyebrows and her pedicures last for at least 3 weeks. I am now a regular customer!
