This is my favorite pizza restaurant in McKinney and tastes as good as the pizza we got in Italy. All the different pizza flavors I’ve tried have been so very good, I wish they delivered. Pros: — Authentic Italian, wood-fired pizzas — Very good food; we have liked everything we have tried — Friendly and efficient service — Staff remembers you and makes you feel very welcome — Good bar selections — Nice ambiance — Patio seating available with shaded tables and ceiling fans — Non-chain feel — Nice location in McKinney — Bread puddings are delicious Cons: — Patio furniture is uncomfortable; tables wobble and there is a weird rim around the seat chair making it uncomfortable — Does not deliver — Closed between 3pm and 5pm

Oh my god, best pizza in McKinney. They are fast and the food is amazing. Plus they do take out, which is great when they are busy.

A Jersey Boy giving a Texas pizza 5 stars is a big accomplishment. I’ve been going here 4 years now and can honestly say that this place never disappoints. I highly recommend Mckinney pizza. The flavors are unique, well blended, and flavorful. The crust is consistently the right thickness, and perfectly cooked with a brick oven flavor that can’t be done in a conventional oven. I’m a big fan!

This is the second time we’ve eaten dinner at Cavalli Pizza and we loved it again. The parking can be tricky in this shopping area, but we snagged a spot right out front. It was Sunday evening so the parking lot wasn’t crowded. Our server attended to us promptly and we had our beverages right away. My husband and I ordered the Capriciossa pizza to share as well as individual salads. I had the Cavalli salad which is a simple, but tasteful mix of greens, pine nuts, shaved Parigiano, sliced Prosciutto and Balsamic Vinaigrette. My husband had the Irving salad which has a nice contrast of sweet and savory tastes from mixed greens, goat cheese, candied pecans, dried cherries and Balsamic Vinaigrette. Unless you are«starving», the individual salad could easily be shared by two people. The main attraction of this meal was the Capriciossa pizza and it did not disappoint. This pizza features a San Marzano tomato sauce with ham, mushrooms, artichokes, olives and mozzarella. Because the pizza is cooked in a brick oven, the crust gets little blisters of oven love that make the crust magical. This pizza is most similar to those we’ve had in Italy. If you’re looking for a thick and hearty, meat loaded pizza, do not get this pizza. There are other options on the menu for you. This is a «less is more» symphony of tastes which I found to be perfection. We can’t wait to return and try something new.

I’m surprised this place doesn’t have more reviews. This is tied with Cane Rosso and Grimaldi’s for my favorite pizza. I think this was ranked the #1 in Dallas. All the ingredients are so fresh! They do something different to their pizza that stands out. It’s neapolitan style(think super thin crust and what you would get if you go to Italy). I really like the margarita pizza. All their options are good. Try their dessert!

Npa certified — enough said. I am a fan of Napoli pizza and this place offers exactly that. Ambience is apt for families or dates. Wine collection could be improved. They have improvised on the toppings by adding bunch of things on the pizza. Typical Napoli pizzas should not have as many. But it’s all good

Enjoying a wonderful dinner for our one month-a-versary! We got the meat trio pizza, Stromboli appetizer, and a limoncello martini. Excellent food! Great flavor. Very pleasant service

Great, fresh pizza and salad. We sat at the bar before realizing there was no bartender there on a Friday afternoon so we had to share our server with one of the ones from the floor. She wasn’t great a balancing that, but that isn’t her fault. Maybe they shouldn’t let people sit up there! I’d definitely eat there again and wouldn’t hesitate to order take out as I saw many people doing.

I have tried to eat here twice. Apparently they are closed on Mondays. Why? I don’t understand that. I won’t come back.

We ordered take out as our first and only experience so far. The order included wings and a large cheese and meat pizza. Both items were very tasty. The crust was cooked well especially if you like thin crust. The wings also had great flavor. Looking forward to dinning in sometime soon. But we will order from them anytime.

This is one of my favorite pizza places and probably the best for the money. The Irving location isn’t as good and is more expensive. Top 5 pizzas I’ve ever had. I live in Denton and I have yet to find better pizza within a 45 minute radius of town.

Pizza Nirvana!!! I love this place, but it is so much more than their great pizza that keeps me coming back. They have exceptional Italian tapas, including my personal favorite quattro formaggi arancini, and delicious salads. Cavalli’s pizzas are prepared Neapolitan-style in a super hot wood-fired oven, giving the pizza a slightly smoky taste and an artisanal look with wonderfully gooey blisters of homemade dough. What you taste in their food is the best ingredients from fresh San Marzano tomatoes to the homemade mozzarella to the most delicious toppings(love the salamino). Now, let’s talk dessert. There are many excellent options, but I recommend whatever the bread pudding of the day is. It can range from a white chocolate to a twix bar bread pudding. My personal favorite is the Bananas Foster bread pudding. That one would get serious consideration as dessert for my last meal. The genius behind this operation is Michela Cavalli, who is more than a chef… she is a true pizza artist. She treats the young staff, who all provide impeccable service, like her own family, and the establishment is always welcoming and friendly. While this review may sound like a plant, I assure you it is not. Rather, it is a the review of a super fan who has eaten at Cavallis probably north of 50 times. One word cannot sum up this place, so I will utter three: Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!

I adore this restaurant! The margherita pizza is exceptional and the fried quarto-formagi arrancini is the best I’ve ever had. I’m a nursing student and treat myself to lunch here after exams regularly. The service is always friendly and accommodating and I love their traditional sangria. Give this unassuming gem a try!

I ordered the meatball panini which was good, my son ordered the chicken parmigiana panini he said it was good. the place is cozy at the time they had a small crowd service was very good.

Fantastic all around. Good service, good atmosphere, and simply wonderful food. I felt like I was eating«real» food, as though from a rustic Italian village where this was the only watering hole. Their breads are wonderful. Pizzas are baked in a real-world fired oven. It makes a difference. The pizza crust has a texture all its own, and the smokey notes of the wood add the details which only truly great food has.

Stumbled upon this place with a girlfriend recently and I am glad we did. The inside is small, but super cute and welcoming. The pizza oven adds to the ambiance for sure. They offer a bar with a handful of seats, plus a few high tops up front, low tables and a few booth options. We arrived around 6:00p on a weeknight and it was fairly quiet, but the place filled in around 7:00p. So if you’re hungry, plan your timing appropriately so you don’t have to wait. The menu offers pizza of course, but also several salads and shareable items. Oddly enough, we shared several items and didn’t order pizza — ha! Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We started off with a bottle of moderately priced red wine… good value for sure. We tried the Calamari, Arancini, Mozzarella Fritta, and the Cavalli Salad. Front runner for me was the calamari — was fresh and battered nicely. The Arancini was good, but the jalapeño sauce it was sitting in was a tad too spicy for me; Mozzarella was a heavy item, but it was cooked perfectly and the Cavalli Salad was okay… it could have used more pine nuts, it felt like it was mostly greens. All was good and filling — glad we tried it all. Some bites were a bit salty but overall tasted good. When I return next, I’ll for sure get the pizza and try the sangria that I spied at another table!
