Had a GREAT breakfast here. The Mexican omelette I had was one of the best I have ever had. Perfect proportions of eggs to meat to veggies. The service was great and this is a great find for small town McGregor.

Never never again! I mentioned to my wife that the water tasted funny, she said, «Yuck, look at your glass its dirty.» The glass had what looked like a dried chocolate ring and a mouth print. Mistakes happen I get it but when I informed the manager there was no empathy what so ever. Just a cold«i’m sorry about that». I suggest you stay away and protect your health

My girlfriend and I ate here while taking a day trip to northeast Iowa. We walked in and immediately found it awkward as there were no signs telling guests whether or not to seat themselves. We got to our table and the waitress was pretty prompt, but I noticed that others around us had been waiting much longer than us. There were only two waitresses for the entire place on a Saturday in a huge tourist town. The food was average and didn’t leave me filled. The only thing that made me really excited about this place was the pumpkin pie. We had to wait a long time to pay for our meal because the two waitresses were trying to manage the whole place. Other than that, it was a nice place to relax after a long drive and I got a meal out of it.

Ordered the special: Slider Platter w/chips. Came w 3 different sliders. $ 10.50 Cheeseburger: good: Not the best or the worst I’ve ever had. Chicken sandwich: chicken was grilled fine but the size of the fillet was tiny in comparison to the other 2 sliders. Not to mention it was swimming in mayo. BBQ Pork: very dry and bland. Chips were good! Somebody in my group had the Bourbon Burger. They said their burger wanted so bad to taste like something but it didn’t. Overall, it was ok.

Excellent food, gets busy so a little slow. The best food we had in McGregor, sadly only open for lunch and breakfast. Highly recommend for basic soups, sandwiches, and dessert.

A great choice along the Mississippi! Small town niceness with unexpected twists. The menu is basic but the fare seems fresh and homemade. I had the special(chicken sandwich with avocado, tomato and spicy pesto mayo). The prices are a bit higher than other places in town but worth it. The inside had great old photos of the town and the patio is comfy with great old bikes lining the sides.
