I would have written this sooner, but I just came out of my sugar coma. I love donuts. I seriously have not met a donut I didn’t like. HOWEVER. These are above and beyond. I literally rolled out of bed, threw on some clothes, looked like death(probably), and drove the 2 minutes it takes me to get to Tim’s this morning. I don’t care because at 6:30 in the morning, I woke up thinking about donuts. I knew I had to act fast because 1) Friday 2) Already open since 5AM3) Rush hour was coming! It was so worth it. Fairly short line, and the smell once you walk in is nirvana. I think I crave sugar more than most people so maybe that’s not something you love the smell of like I do. I got 2 apple fritters(were almost gone by that point, 1 left after that), 2 cinnamon rolls(1 iced), and 2 buttermilk sticks(think Dunkin’ Sticks only better!). The donuts were clearly fresh and so soft when I bit into them. They go perfectly with a nice strong black coffee(Starbucks Verona is my fave) to cut the crazy amount of sugar you’re eating. I don’t know how I’ve lived over here for 4.5 years before finally getting my butt over there. Oh yeah, I like sleep so that’s probably why. They’re open until 11AM, but I don’t know what could possibly be left over! My husband isn’t a big donut person so I guess I’m going to have to tackle eating the rest after he had his one. Poor me.

Absolutely awesome donuts. I would put these donuts up against longs from Indianapolis and Titus bakery from Lebanon. Top three donuts in the land no doubt. Only bad thing is get here early because there is always a line out the door and around the corner. Definitely a 5 star bakery… Nice work Tim’s.

Best donuts in Indy, or anywhere for that matter. Get here early though, otherwise you’ll wait in a pretty long line, often out the door and around the building. But it’s worth the wait!

Today was my first time here I had to go to the license branch down the road. It was close to closing time but they were still making hot fresh donuts and I was able to snag a couple pumpkin sticks best donuts I’ve ever had!!!

I have been eating Tim’s donuts for as long as I can remember, going on 27 years; some of my dearest memories are centered around sharing these donuts with my cousin and grandparents. These exact donuts are the only thing I have craved for any of my pregnancies, I daydream about them all year until I fly from Florida to Indiana to visit my grandma and eat them every single day of my visit. There are no better donuts in the world, yall. My hands down favorite donut is the cinnamon twist, not that I’ve ever had one I didn’t like… I just wish they would give me their yeast recipe so I didn’t have to wait an entire year for this HEAVEN. I don’t even mind waking up at some unheard of hour to claim my donuts; through snow or rain or ice I WILLHAVETIM’S.

OMG — simple the best freshest bakery good around. There is a reason the line is out the door and around the corner at 8:00AM.

A box of Tim’s Bakery donuts caught my eye in the break room yesterday. Usually there’s a store-bought coffee cake that doesn’t get a second glance from me, but a box glazed greased goodies from a highly-regarded bakery? I had to investigate.(The things I do for you, Unilocal.) First impression there’s nothing crafty about these donuts, no experimental, innovative flavors… but there are chocolate yeast donuts. And vanilla cake sticks. And your old fashioned glazed beauties. Based off of looks alone, I undoubtedly knew there was potential for greatness. Yet«great» can’t fully describe the dough. The delicate, squishy dough that has this dreamy, melt-in-your-mouth quality the moment it touches your tongue. It’s the kind of donut that makes me want to make a donut my last meal. Each variety I tried(donut stick, chocolate yeast, chocolate-vanilla yeast twist) was, simply put, superlative. Having Tim’s reminds me that it doesn’t take bacon or earl grey tea or chocolate ganache to make a donut superb. It’s all about mastering your doughy foundation. And Tim’s? I dub thee the Master of the Northeast Side.

Well that may be a record for me from«time to bookmark to time to visit». Noticed yesterday Unilocal friend Ntianu S. checked in to Tim’s and all reviews were sky high, stories of lines out the door, etc. And very close to me. Visions of blueberry fritters were dancing in my head all night… So swung by this AM to get some donuts for the work team. McCordsville at 8AM on a work day on Pendleton Pike absolutely sucks but I finally made it. Surprisingly, I was the only one there… what timing! Nice gentleman behind the counter asked me what I would like: dozen yeast assorted, dozen filled assorted, and 1 blueberry fritter(buyer’s choice, haha). They were out of blueberry but did have some FRESH cherry ones(oh ok twist my arm). And… I had to wait for the filled ones since the next batch was coming out(timing!) When I cracked open the box at work, some were still warm and the frosting was just melted. Wow were those good. The cherry fritter was soooo light and delicious. The fresh chocolate custard was off the charts good… what a treat. Plus knocked back a yeast(gluttony!) But so good and fresh. I liked this way better than Jack’s Donuts and cannot wait to come back soon. What a hidden gem.

Tim’s glazed yeast donuts. My goodness. They are FIYAH! I still think Long’s has the best(sorry Tim’s), but their yeast donuts are pretty magical. I’ve had the same exact cashier every time I’ve visited. He’s always super nice and patient. There is always a line, but it moves fairly quickly. This place is crazy popular, so try to get there early for the best selection. Also the parking lot is small and can be difficult to back out so beware. I’ve had other items that I like such as the blue berry muffin and the cake donuts. NOT a fan of the blueberry fritter. Too sweet. The yeast donuts are by far my favorite! Instead of going to Dunkin’ Donuts or other chains, I plan to stop in more often when I want to treat myself or pick up some goodies for my students! Treat yo’ self to Tim’s! :-)

They are the perfect amount of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside glazed with heavenly perfction. I wish I lived closer.

Great tigertails! I arrived at 10:30 on a weekday and they were out of regular donuts. Get there early because they’ll run out fast!

Best in Indy, period. The line out the door every minute they are open tells the story. I hate to write this review as the line will grow longer, but, share I must!

Let me tell you a story about donuts. I serve as the mighty donut man for my office(of around 40 people). Every Friday I grab donuts from a local place and bring them in for everyone to enjoy. We’ve tried pretty much every variety of bakery in the area; Long’s, Taylor’s, Jack’s, Daylight, Square, General American, and even Kroger, Marsh, and Mejier. If it adds less than 10 minutes to my commute I’ve stopped there to get some donuts. Tim’s Bakery is hands down the donut champion. Donuts are always fresh, delicious, and perfectly cooked. When you walk into the bakery there’s a small window to the left that looks in on the inner workings of donut creation and you can usually see Tim himself twisting and twirling dough into these delicious creations. Of all the Fridays we’ve had donuts at the office when I put Tim’s Bakery in the rotation I routinely get asked«Where are these donuts from?» or «Why do you keep going to other bakeries — these are clearly the best donuts!» Trust me to be your mighty donut guide. Trust my coworkers and their compliments. If you’re in the area on an early morning swing through and get some of the best donuts in the Indy metro area.

Have driven past here for years. Today I decided to stop to grab my crew breakfast. Small, yes, but the selection did not disappoint. Everyone loved them! And I have to say they(so far) have the only jelly donut(raspberry) that I have ever enjoyed. Dunkin’ Who?

While this may be in the little town of Mccordsville further up northeast, I must say it’s a local spot where generations of young and old donut lovers remain faithful customers. It may be quaint inside with 2 display cases full of pastries with no name tags, so being new to this… it’s the point and describe method. Old-timers know the donuts by name better than us young fellas. Tim’s seasonal pumpkin sticks with the sugary glaze is absolutely divine especially paired with a cup ‘o joe I’d like to pick up elsewhere. The cinnamon sugar twists(I don’t know the proper whimsical name for it.) are excellent when fresh — very fluffy and soft inside. 4 donuts in a bag for about $ 3 spares me a few bucks. I hope you’re an early riser. They’re only open for a few hours in the morning!

Superb. Melt in your mouth. All good. Don’t ever buy donuts from a chain store again. Reminds me of Red’s Donuts in Monterey, CA. Always looking for an excuse to swing by here again: O)
