The coldest beers in town! Love this place over the old location. They pretty much make everything here from scratch. Everything from the buns to the chicken tenders. The fried pickles are the best, and their salads are pretty good too. No salad bar here but not a problem for me. The burgers are juicy and made to order. Arguably the best burger in town. Staff is always on point.

Food is decent… Nothing to make me go back… Plus the whole place smells like raw sewage. My 6 year old daughter kept complaining about the«horrible smell».

So, I know a lot of people are disappointed in this location because it isn’t exactly like the McAllen location. You don’t have to stand in line to order your burger! That’s a huge plus. Why waste time building a burger when you can sit and have a drink waiting for a waiter to take your order? Everything is brought to you from the comfort of your table. I don’t get why people complain about this aspect. Those complaints aside, I really enjoy this restaurant and I come here almost every time I visit the Valley. My grandparents swear by this burger shop, and I understand why. They have varying burger sizes from«mini»(which is still a healthy portion) to «manly». I always get a mini burger because I can never finish anything else. Their burgers are always cooked expertly and their appetizers are really tasty. Also, everything is so cheap! I can get a mini burger and fries for $ 5! Can’t beat that. A mini burger and large side salad is $ 8. Excellent food for less than $ 10. What else could you want? The atmosphere is great too, very kitschy 50s diner. Lots of TVs for the men in your family who just want to watch sports during dinner. They have a full bar with house specialty cocktails. I think they have a partnership with Tito’s Vodka because that seems to be their go-to liquor. Not complaining, but they do have other brands available if Tito’s isn’t your thing. They make a great whiskey sour, just saying! ;)

I was surprised at how similar it is to the Corpus location! Service was a bit slow. We went way after the lunch rush(about 2 pm) and still had to wait about 20 minutes for our food. Same great food. Wish they’d bring back the good fries.

Same great taste as the original in McAllen but with more menu items. Food was delicious and the service was great. Highly recommend.

We didn’t like this Wallbangers. We didn’t like the sit-down format, nor did we care for the burgers. They should have stuck to the old format at the original restaurant on Expressway 83. Why change a formula that works? Quite frankly, I’m tired of burgers that are given cute names. Why can’t I just order a burger and tell you how I want it cooked? Then allow me to put on the burger what I want on it.

This place is deffinately worth stopping at! I had an awesome steak philly sandwich and my mom got a hamburger. The fries are different, but good. The inside décor is neat too!

Excellent food and even better service! I have only been to this Wallbangers and not to the one on McColl and frontage but I was very impressed as soon as I walked in. The food was your typical American cuisine but their burgers tastes like the ones your dad made on a Sunday afternoon! They had 3 different sizes that could have been named better but it gave it that comical feel. The Mac and Cheesy burger is my favorite so far but I could be a little biased since that’s the only one I’ve tasted(oh well). The Chicken strips however are not your ordinary McDonalds or Church’s Chickens chicken strips. When you bite into it, you can tell that the strips are breaded differently and not over fried. The service was incredible! Granted, I did go there during times they weren’t busy. The workers knew the difference between the burgers and were very consistent with serving us. Overall, I always have an amazing experience whenever I eat here. A great place to take your family to watch the games or to just enjoy a great classic American burger!

Bad service, listed on the menu and did not have milkshakes, or chips and salsa. Waited 45 minutes to receive their version of buffalo wings(what you get are pieces of chicken and the parts are not separated) that was undercooked, pink. Did not re-order, did not have the time, and did not want to take the chance to have something undercooked. The bad service was probably due to a full staff converging by the bar area having a pow-wow. Stay away

The ambiance was really nice, lots of TV’S, bar and restaurant place. The food was delicious and not to mention the serving size, BIG. Two persons can share a meal. Mario, our waiter provided great service, made me forget I was back home(too many places with poor rude service out here) so 5 stars for Wall bangers on North 10th.

Good Food. Great Place. Good Service. I really love the south side Wallbangers location and I really like this one. Very different types of restaurants as far as the environment is concerned. But make sure you have an appetite when you go, portions are huge! Even the small size for«ladies» is pretty big. Service was good too.

Wanted to give this a 2nd shot since our last visit when they first opened was ehhh. Thought if I wait for a few months it would be a bit better… sadly no. Burgers looks amazing but beef had nooooo flavor what so ever and beef was rubbery… I find out later on the receipt that waitress inputted well done which I was never asked how I wanted it cooked. The fajita burger/sandwich was the other one we ordered and eating 1⁄3 way we noticed a huge tendon/fatty strip. It literally pull like a rubber band and wouldn’t come of the meat. We asked the server to attention that to management but the whole time we had no visit from anyone besides our server. This place had poor management and reflects from the staff.

Why is it so hard to find a nice and tasty burger place in the valley?!! I mean it’s Texas isn’t? Well we got a nice greeting from the hostess and was bubbly… but that was the only nice thing that was offered at our dining experience there. So I ordered the Manly 5 Pioneer burger… it was huge! ¾lb of beef and looked awesome… but that’s it… just looks good but tasted awful. You can look at the picture that it was way over cooked thus had a chewy rubbery texture. Beef patty was plain… no hint of any salt or pepper to give it flavor. Service was okay, but I can get a hint of attitude when she had to make multiple visits back to the kitchen for our requested condiments which was mentioned from the initial order taking. Not worth the time and money… my fair warning to whomever reads this.

Great service and awesome atmosphere! The food was so good and the burger I ordered was huge. I usually don’t finish a burger of that size but it was so delicious, I ate it all including the fries and onion rings that came along with it. Ice cold Shiner bock on tap. I was definitely pleased and will be returning soon in the very near future.

First time there. Great atmosphere and service! We ordered the Uncle Sam burgers, one girly and one manly. Burgers came out just like we ordered them, nothing too special but still good. Not of fan of the fries. We will most likely come back again…

Friendly service, the menu is simple and you gotta try the stuffed burgers! What I was surprised to see that they offered alcoholic drinks. They have a nice bar set up, so if you want a crown and coke, or margarita, while you’re waiting for your food, you’ll find it here. Just because it’s a burger place doesn’t mean you can’t get a cold beer or mixed beverage here.

I’ve been to this location twice and I must say it’s always disappointing. The food is average at best and the service has been slow both times. It feels like the wait staff doesn’t even want to be there. Their uniforms do not match the décor, one of the waitresses is a big girl and she has her shirt tied up with her belly button staring at you each time she comes to your table. I found the menu to be overly sexist with burger size options listed as girly and manly instead of showing the actual size of the burger. On one of my visits I got a whole avocado half as a side and on my next visit I only got one quarter avocado. Seems like the kitchen doesn’t even know their portions. The décor is pretty bad, think Gamehaus with Johnny Rockets throwing up inside of it. There’s metal and mismatched wood inside with hints of 50’s décor. Nothing works well together in this place! If you’re wanting a great burger try Five Guys or Marco’s Burgers and Fries! Can’t really go wrong with those two… you’ll get better service as well as a better quality burger.

When you enter the door, you are transported to the 50s or more like a 2nd rate version of Grease. Oh where to begin, I love the Wallbanger’s in south mcallen but the only similarities this has with the the south mcallen version is just the name. Oh the frustration of dealing dealing with inept service. If you work in a burger place and don’t know the difference between American cheese or cheddar, or even the difference between medium or well done then you should not open up a burger place. If you see this restaurant while driving down 10th street just drive south for about 15 minutes and turn left on the expressway to the real Wallbanger’s. When you go there you’ll get better service and better food for a cheaper price.

Ok. First the good. The waitstaff was very friendly. The place looked clean and had a nice 50’s atmosphere that’s common to many burger joints. The food LOOKED delicious. The buns were fresh and tasty and the toppings looked fresh. Now for the bad. The burgers were insipid, dry and rubbery. I’ve had good burgers cooked medium to medium well. I’ve even had good burgers cooked well done. These burgers were cooked two to three stages past well done. Not sure if the burgers were just extremely over cooked or whether it was a combination of overlooking with poor quality meat. Either way, the burgers were almost inedible even though everyone in the party was famished. After checking with the other members of my group we all reached the same conclusion. All were overcooked and no one was able to finish. Very possibly the worst burger I’ve ever had. Luckily there is a Five Guys just a couple of blocks away.

This is a sit down restaurant different from the other Wallbangers on the Southside where you order your food and then come back and get it. Y. Our server was very friendly and courteous. Our food was delivered very quickly. The portions were large and the food was delicious. The ambiance is a little loud but manageable. Overall I would definitely return to this place.
