I have never been to this place but I will review it anyway. This restaurant doesn’t warrant any stars but since I wouldn’t be able to post this, I had to check one star. First of all, anyone that thinks that the theme of this restaurant is cool needs to get a clue. Why would anyone glorify druglords in their business!!! WHY!!! What are they thinking? I don’t know these owners but if they’re using druglords to name their food, they must be impressed with these druglords. What does this tell good people and children? You can be a bad person, sell drugs, kill people and maybe one day, some idiot will use your name for their food?!! I would not even consider to try their food because I don’t need to know what a druglord would taste like. The idea is already nasty on my palate! People, WAKEUP! When we glorify bad people with movies, using their names to name stuff, whatever, we tell those who could become bad people and children that we, as a society, think its cool. Anyone with any sense should just ban this place and their other location. Geez!

Glorification of drug cartel/narco leaders in a Mexican restaurant? wtf??? The U.S. is taking on tens of millions illegal aliens based on the premise they are fleeing cartel violence, and you open a restaurant to glorify the monsters who have destroyed your home? I find this offensive as an American. If you like drug cartels so much go back to Mexico. YOURHOMEISINSHAMBLES B/C OFTHESEPEOPLE, NOWYOUARERUININGMYHOME. F.U.

Tortillas are hand made, but other than that I didn’t find anything special about this place. I ordered 2 tacos alcapone @$ 2.50 each all they come with is tortilla & meat.

First time at LOSDESVELADOS the food was good! Expectations became high after waiting for more then 30 min for a few tacos and a burrito never the less before I ate I was already disappointed when they said they had no rice at 7pm It’s never a good thing to say you have run out of an esencial component of a burrito. None the less its good food just expect to wait longer then you’re usual wait for a taco at a taco stand. You might also bump into a few ppl from the spanish music /corridos industry(twins intertaiment…)

I don’t think I’ll order again anytime soon. I ordered 4 vampiros(el rayo) and as long as I’ve known all my life vampiros are not done with hard crunchy tortillas, they were more like tostadas but so hard its not eatable. Co-worker ordered a chicken quesadilla(la reina del sur) and they delivered a carne asada quesadilla another co-worker ordered a burrito(pablo escobar) and she said the rice wasn’t cooked well, the tortilla on the bottom was burnt a little and she had to add salt to the meat. I’m not a person to call and complain about the food, i get it people make mistakes but I’m so upset about it and I called to let them know and at least the guy who answered wasn’t rude but he told me the vampiros were meant to be toasted and I told him they are not suppose to be and no where in this flyer does it say so and the lady who took my order never mentioned anything. He just apologized but what do I win with that? I’m out 14 $ and I have no food to eat. I have to be in the office all day i just can’t get up and leave to get more food.

Came for lunch today after getting a flyer outside my kids school. Soooo happy we tried this place!!! Tortillas hechas a mano!!! And the flavor of the carne asada, is delicious… not to mention«la Colombiana» aka horchata!!! Everything was delicious, food, service, quality… we had the«tacos alcapone»…delicious. I’m hoping this place stays open for a very long time. They also have a salsa bar with different chile salsas, pico de gallo, guacamole, cucumbers, everything you need for your food. Definitely coming back, very soon!!! It’s so worth trying it. Highly recommend this little spot!!!

Going to start with a four star review for this new business in Maywood. Formerly known as La Villa Nueva, whose food quality was really dropping in standard leading to this local, regular patron to find a new taco spot. Thankful, new owners, complete facelift to the place, new name and what so far seems to be a very promising new business. Décor is cartel and gangster bosses, which also happens to be the names for their food items. I ordered two Tacos Al Capone de asada and one El Rayo de asada. Tacos Al Capone use hand made tortillas(they also offer regular small tortilla tacos). El Rayo is a vampiro. What’s a vampiro? If you’re not familiar with street food from Sinaloa, it’s essentially a tortilla left on a pan until it gets crispy(kind of like a tostada but not as hard) and loaded with your choice of meat and cheese. Both were very good and really gave me a similar vibe and flavor to the tacos and vampiros I eat from taqueros when I’m in Culiacan. Self-serve taco essentials we are all familiar with for tacos with the addition of guacamole salsa. Very thick and creamy just like in Culiacan. Also, not sure if it was just today or something they do regularly(or just weekends?) but they had a grill outside preparing all of the asada, chicken and cebollitas. Mmmmm. Definitely going back to try the burrito and torta. Glad to finally have a spot close to home serving up authentic vampiros(my fav Culiacan street food item!).
