What a sleeper by ANY standards!!! This little hole in the wall is a true gem! The absolute best Grits & Turkey sausage I’ve ever had. Put it on an onion bagel & you’ve left this earth…
The woman who runs the grill does all the food ordering & she could be the next Top Chef in a new category., Grill Queen!
Shhhhh keep it a secret for those straying off the AC expressway on your way to or from the shore.

Breakfast is always great and consistent. Even when they’re packed food still comes out quickly. Personally I think they have the best hash browns in South Jersey.

My first impression of this place is.
It’s filthy dirty in there the plus side is grill is very clean.
Someone needs to do a serious cleaning at Johnny restaurant.
Bathrooms are very dirty.
The waitress was really nice.
The male cook was eating n busy sucking on his fingers. I guess what he was eating was delicious!
The waitress forgot our toast I made sure to watch if the cook washed his hands. He briefly random under the water without any soap.
Obviously I refused the toast sorry I won’t be back there again

The breakfasts here are always good and consistent. I cannot attest to the quality of their lunch menu, however, I am quite certain that it is of similar quality.
As other reviewers have mentioned, Johnnie’s is a family-​owned and operated establishment that has been around for quite some time. This is the go-​to place when you need a good, inexpensive breakfast, great coffee, and excellent service in the Mays Landing area.
I highly recommend trying either the chipped beef or sausage gravy, but you can’t go wrong with the «Johnnie’s special» (two eggs, home fries, meat, toast, and coffee for around $ 6 – 7).

Johnnie’s is a Mays Landing classic! My family has been going there for well over 25+ years. It has been family owned and operated for as long as I can remember. The food is outstanding and their breakfast can not be beat!
If you are looking for something delicious with no frill Johnnie’s is the best place hands down! My go-​to order is the Mobile 1 with sausage and of course a side of homefries!
My only complaint is that I no longer live right down the street and have to wait untilI am home on holidays and such to visit!

Very good breakfast, best in the area for eggs and such. And if you have a hankering for hotcakes, Johnnie’s is the best, hands down. Gotta get here before 11 on a Sunday, however– the small, cozy place gets way packed at this time.
