Corner Closet

I absolutely love the Corner Closet. I can see how this place may not be for everyone here, but if you are a consignment store enthusiast who likes the quest for a good bargain, this can be a hidden gem. I have found some really incredible things here, including a $ 6 vintage Dooney and Burke leather wallet, nice leather belts, jeans (the occasional designer pair), and more. I am sorry to hear about the negative experience Rachel had. I have never consigned clothes here but I check in every couple of weeks and never leave empty handed. The 5 stars is for the WHOLE experience. I have always had pleasant encounters with the man who works there, like today when I was given a cookie to enjoy during my shopping experience. It depends on what you’re looking for, but to me, the Corner Closet has heart and good finds.

Biggest joke of a place. When I walked in, I wasn’t greeted. It took me awhile to figure out which of the two people in the store was the one working there. I took a guess and it was the man with a dog (yes, probably the lesser likely of the two). I was holding a pile of my clothes and while standing in front of him still had to initiate conversation.
«How does this work?» I asked.
«50−50!!!» he obnoxiously yelled.
Still confused, but before I could utter another word the man picks up the phone (AND sits down). Has a legit 5 minute (well, probably longer) phone call about nonsense while sitting down stroking and petting his dog. He doesn’t make any further eye contact with me. After those painfully annoying 5 minutes I walked out. Furious.
Worst customer service experience I’ve possibly EVER had. But then again who goes clothes shopping in Maynard MA??? I thought I’d give it a whirl after cleaning out my closet. My mistake.
