Solid carryout. I recommend the biryani, which is good and nice portions!

Well cooked, tasty, cheap food. Owners are very kind! We ordered take out today and left to get some work done while they were getting the food ready… Took us much longer than expected and we had lost all hope of a warm dinner. Surprise! We got there 40 min after closing and found them waiting just for us! Won our hearts!

I went here for lunch takeout. As others suggested it would be better to call in your order as they make your order fresh. I got the chicken biryani with a samosa. I am a fan of spicy foods so I really enjoyed the biryani. It had a nice kick with it and my ears were tingling from the heat. They include a side of yogurt sauce to help cool down the spice level. Overall a very solid dish especially if you enjoy spicy food. The portions are huge, I was only able to eat about a 1⁄3 of it. The samosa was also pretty tasty too.

Really? All the high ratings! I wouldn’t go back to eat this diarrhea inducing poison if you pay me a million dollars. I have had plenty of Indian food all over the world, from India to Malaysia to the UK. But this place got me sick for the rest of the day with agonizing stomach pain and the runs that I thought my intestines were coming loose. The shrimp dish had shrimp the size of my pinky nails and the egg puff must have been 3 years old… it was freaking black inside. I wouldn’t recommend this junk for my worst enemy, stay away!

Seriously, I have no idea why people gave this place such high reviews. I ordered fish curry which was very stiff and looked faded. The curry itself was just water with no real consistency. The samosa was edible. My coworker ordered chicken curry with rice and could barely eat half. All it did was fill our mouths with a nasty stench. Ive have tons of indian food in NYC, this was crap. Atleast it was cheap but not worth it. I have no idea who are all these people with high ratings, is there a company that people pay to write good Unilocal reviews for them?

I’ve only had the samosa’s here and they were delicious. It’s a small restaurant owned by this Indian man who is very nice.

This place should be very authentically Kerala. I’m not Indian so I can’t claim the expertise in judging the cuisine. We mentioned some dishes to our Indian friend without saying the restaurant name. His immediate response was«this places sounds very Kerala». All I know is, after I discovered this place, I stopped going to Café Tandoor. The latter seems generic and Americanized in comparison, even to this non-Indian. I’m addicted to their Appam and Dosa. They are made from fermanted rice dough. Appam is a Kerala specialty. Dosa is southern Indian. For newbies: If you’re overwhelmed by lots of exotic names on the menu and can’t decide which one to start with, consider their Thali. It’s a platter of many small items so you get to try a variety. They do not make Mutter Paneer, because it is a northern Indian specialty. I get it from Cleveland Tiffin in North Randall. About 8 miles from here. The pictures in Gallery on their website were somewhat helpful when I started. However there are only a handful of pics. The best way to get to know any cuisinary culture is to taste it. There’s no problem with parking, however they only have one couch in the establishment. So order it to go, or eat it at the Sonic Drive-through next door. I’ve never done it… let me know how it goes. Lakshmi Plaza is an Indian grocery store two minutes away by foot. Walk past Yeleseyevsky and you’ll see it.

I was so excited to try butter chicken from here because the reviews are overall positive. However, when I took my order to go I opened it up to find something other than butter chicken. It was not bad, but it wasn’t very good either(green chicken with peas). My friend ordered the chicken korma and she also received this green chicken with peas instead of that. We were both disappointed that they had mixed up our order and we hadn’t check it before leaving. Also skip the chicken puffs, they are extremely dry. The naan was small and just meh. Overall, would not go back, but the food was not horrible. I was just very disappointed with the mixed up order, green chicken, and small naan.

From but not limited to South Indian cuisine from the state of Kerala, comes this take out spot. It has a vegetarian and non vegetarian daily menu with added daily special meals. The predecesor of the east Cleveland suburbs Indian restaurants opened since 2011, if memory serves me right. Everything ive eaten here has been delicious. Good portions and great prices. Mini thali of rice or noodles with chilly chicken and curry chicken and chutney with coconut flavored cabbage. Biryanis of different kind and heat level. Surprise dishes include Butter chicken, garlic chicken, eggplant masala, chicken korma, okra masala, tomato chicken, califlower dishes, etc. And a delish gulab jamun(fried donut-like balls in a cardamon infused syrup) or payasams are available to sweeten the palate. Mango lassi drinks as well.

By far the best Indian food I’ve had in Cleveland. Authentic spices, retaining the original flavor unlike most buffet restaurants, taste of Kerala’s food is very much like home-made. Not many restaurants here serve chapattis, so I hopped in here to take a chance and to my surprise they reminded me of my mom’s chapattis, soft and thin. They prepare it fresh, so you have to wait 25 min for your order but its completely worth your time and money. Lassi wasn’t that great, but entrees are superb. I highly recommend them to all who are looking for authentic Indian food.

Love the panner biryani here. The samosas are good. Haven’t tried too many things here. But a great place to take out.

Best Indian restaurant in Cleveland. My husband was a regular when he was living in Cleveland. He got me here and I love it. Food is authentic South Indian.

Had an amazing meal today, brought me back memories of being in South India. Super friendly staff! We were just passing through on a road trip but will keep it in mind for future trips. Get the samosas, you won’t regret it.

By no means do I consider myself a connoisseur of Indian food, but I’ve had the basics in a few different settings, from premade curry to takeout to sit down restaurants. So far, everything I’ve tried(mainly chicken dishes, I’ll get adventurous soon) has been amazing. They’ve been very helpful in describing dishes that I wasn’t particularly sure as to what was contained, and didn’t make me feel stupid in the process. I’m in love with their Samosa, and the Biryani is to die for. I showed up 5 minutes before close one night, and they were still incredibly polite and I walked out with a killer meal. If I had one complaint, it’d be that there are no descriptions on their menu board. But as I stated earlier, they’re very helpful with that. Very much a must try if you’re in the Mayfield area.

Awesome takeout food — authentic South Indian flavors and spices– tender parotas and flaky chicken puffs– haven’t had good Kerala food since I visited home. Food is prepared when you order so allow for 30 – 45 minutes of prep time before you pick up your order. The lassi is a little too sweet and spiced for my tastes– so stick with the main entrees and appetizers and you won’t go wrong. My regular Sunday afternoon meal after church is a Chicken 65, or Chili chicken, parotas, puffs or pakodas– so that I have at least one more South Indian meal during the week– highly recommend the food. Now if they only served Kerala style coffee in a steel cup while you waited … ;)

I was disappointed with the food here. I saw complaints about the place being small and not having tables, but it’s very clearly marked as a take out restaurant, so manage your expectations. I ordered a mild vegetable biryani but the heat level was definitely medium, and this seems to be a problem for other Unilocalers too. It’s hard to eat without yogurt/chutney. The chickpea curry was ok when mixed with the chutney provided, otherwise lacking in flavor. The dosa was so so because the potatoes were too big — they didn’t have enough spice and weren’t very flavorful. The coconut chutney was good. The price can’t be beat — 3 orders = 6 meals for $ 17, but the taste is not enough for me to return. No problems with the service, I called in my order.

I’ve only been here once. I had the mattar paneer biryani… Perfectly spiced but the paneer was a little dried out. It didn’t have any veggies which was disappointing. I suspect the dry paneer and lack of vegetables was due to me coming in close to closing time. I’ll give it another try. The staff was helpful and friendly. Restaurant looked clean. Carry-out only.

You could discount my review, given that I’ve only been here two times, but it might still be informative. Every time I’ve had the samosas, and each time had major indigestion. Maybe something in the oil? The biryani was almost average, and the chicken dishes(korma, butter, tikka masala) were below average. But by no means is this in the lowest 5% of indian establishments I’ve been to, so two stars. It’s adequate, though makes me pay afterwards so no three stars. Maybe I was unlucky? Nonetheless, I won’t be returning to find out.
