Wonderful time in pine island sound. On the tour, we had a group of 4 dolphins following us and it looked like they enjoyed playing in the wake. Next we went to lunch on an island. Nice lunch and nice island to walk around. On the way back, we passed 5 fish houses. Learned that in the early part of th twentieth century these were ice houses. The fisherman would leave their catch and a bigger boat would bring all the fish to Charollett harbor for resale and shipping. We were with Captain Cathy, she was wonderful to go with. Highly recommended.

Very nice sunset tour. He knows his stuff, nautically and environment of the pine island area. This is a good activity for an older person, if you are looking for something they would enjoy. You can bring your beverages to sip too!

While we in Cape Coral visiting my parents, they booked a 4 hour fishing tour with Captain Jack boat tours. The tour takes off from Bokeelia, Florida. Take Stringfellow Road all the way up till it ends at Capt’n Con’s Fish House. There is a small marina there and that is where we met Captain Ray, someone who works for the Captain Jack tours. The cost for a 4 hour fishing tour is $ 350 for 4 people. It’s $ 75 for each person. We had a total of 6 people so it was $ 500. The boat we were on was an older pontoon boat. It wasn’t the fanciest boat, but it did the job. Captain Ray was a wealth of knowledge about the area and the different fish in the area. We putted out into Charlotte Harbor. He got all our rods out and showed us where the bait was. I put the shrimp on my hook but he did bait it throughout the day for a lady friend of my mothers. Overall, I’d say that we didn’t have the best of lucking fishing. We caught some things here and there. The best and only thing we kept was a 16 inch trout. We caught some lady fish, puffer fish, gar, snapper, and a bunch of other fish I cannot remember then name of. We saw dolphins, leopard rays, and even a few manatees. You could tell that Ray was concerned about using catching fish. Over the 4 hours, we went to probably about 15 different spots to try out the waters. The area is so pretty up there, going through the mangroves almost feels like being in the Keys & not in mainland Florida. We arrived back at the marina & he offered to clean out trout. I think he’s a little heavy handed with the filleting, so you might want to take the fish whole home. We have a great time though.

My wife and I decided to go on a sunset boat tour with Captain Jack’s. It was more than we could’ve asked for. We ended up with Captain Jack himself. He took us for a long tour around all the canals and inlets near Pine Island. His extensive knowledge kept our attention and taught us more than we could’ve ever wanted. Captain Jack knew about all the animals, birds and plantlife in the area. The price was extremely reasonable and Captain Jack is the nicest, kindest, most decent man you’d ever want to meet. We met his partner Captain Cathy and she seemed sweet as well. The boat was modern and updated, clean and ran extremely well. We would definitely go back for another tour in the future and we highly recommend using this company’s services!!! Excellent !!! We even got a 20% coupon for the restaurant next to his dock.
