Came recommended but a disappointment. Was under staffed for a full house and the food just ok bar food, their wings were a little under cooked. The service was VERY slow. Maybe good for a guys night out when theres a game on but, probably not taking the family back.

Has been my favorite place since I moved up in 2006. Never a bad choice when looking for a good atmosphere, good food and sometimes tunes with the friends. Early to mid afternoons are more laid back and kid friendly. Evenings are a blast with a more lively crowd. Definitely recommend the wings! Extensive list of flavors to choose from, and meaty, none of those dinky lil bite sizers here.

We arrived at 7pm on a Sunday. There was no wait and we were seated right away. We ordered the nacho supreme as an appetizer. I asked if they can put the cheese on only half the nachos because I am lactose intolerant, they said they could give us two half orders, one with cheese and one without and it would be the same price. I didn’t see half orders on the menu, but when the nachos came out there was easily enough for us to have shared a half order. The nachos were delicious. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables which also came with a salad. The chicken fried steak and gravy was very good tasted just like you want it to and the mashed potatoes were amazing. My salad was only iceberg lettuce, but it was fresh and crisp. The service was good, no issues for us and they also have %10 military discount. The restaurant overall is starting to look dated and they also have a small seating area outside now that the weather is nice. I would eat here again when I am in the area, they have a huge menu. I also recommend going across the street to the polar ice cream for dessert.

I have been coming here for a long time, I love the wings and loaded cheese fries. I was visiting the area and we went in for lunch, I had wings and loaded cheese fries. I was so disappointed the wings were dry and overlooked and the fries were also overcooked. The service was not like it used to be, they had one server and they were very busy. I will not return there.

The grill by far has the best wings in the area. They also have really good salads that are very big portions and delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant whether your going out with family or doing a girls night and looking for deliciois food and drinks!

I love the wings here! The blue cheese they have is chunky and delicious. They have a wide variety of flavor and in my opinion they are better than Buffalo Wild Wings. The waitresses are very pleasant, quick, and attentive. The only bad thing I have to say about this place is the pool table is a drag and the owner/manager was very rude when we told him the cue ball was missing.

First of all, when the name of a restaurant has the word«Grill» in it, I’m braced for mediocrity. Sometimes(rarely), I’m pleasantly surprised. This experience was«meh». Not awful but slightly less than average. In other words, I’d rather find a different restaurant next time passing through. Alas, it was a Sunday evening and the choices were slim and it was recommended by hotel staff with a 10 percent discount by showing them our room key(if you go here and are staying nearby, ask if they discount based on your particular hotel). It was cold out, they did have a fireplace, and it was not active. First negative points. Menu had lots of options. You’d think that’s a good thing but I’ve discovered at mediocre places, that’s bad. Too many options means they can’t all be mastered. I ordered the steak fajitas. It did come out sizzling — yay. Taste of the meat was bland. Again, negative points.

11/21/2015 My family and I walked into The grill at 4:00pm on Saturday. We order our food at 10 minutes after 4. We each got our drink and French Onion Soup at 4:20 pm. We had a second round of sodas and still no food. The waitress came to us and stated, «she is checking on our food but it has not come out of the Kitchen yet.» this was at 5:15 pm. We waited another 15 minutes and still no food. At 5:30 we asked for Our check. We got no main course, but still had to pay for our drinks and French Onion Soup without getting a discount. We will not be going back to The Grill. This place has really gone down hill.

Very good local place to eat. Their wings are well known in the area. The size of the wings are very large, cooked perfectly with a wide arrange of sauce choices. I’ve tried the honey mustard, honey garlic, sweet and sour, ranch(made on premises), etc. Definitely worth getting outside of ‘wing night.’ They allow you to split the flavors in half(5 one flavor and 5 another). You get 10 wings per order, but again, they are HUGE. Their food overall is well priced and with a variety of choices with good flavor. The only negative is there are 2 tables on the first floor for handicap guests. Both tables were filled when our party came and the wait was forever. Luckily, our handicap guest took his time but made it up the stairs to the rest of the tables. They also changed their parking lot which provides more car space and better organization.

While in the area. I asked an employee of a neighborhood establishment«Where can I get a bite to eat. close by?» He said«the grill… they have really good food»…Well I must say. we were DEFINITELY not disappointed. .the food was top notch… the waitstaff friendly and helpful. .and the atmosphere. .so comfortable. .with several different seating areas… there was something for everyone.. I only wish I lived closer so I could dine here more often… will ABSOLUTELY stop here every time I am in the area… #NEWFAVORITEPLACETOEAT

Great sports bar atmosphere. Poor draft beer selection that never changes other than the seasonal Sam Adams :( Prices recently shot up for both food and drinks which makes me not go there often anymore. Food is good though! Especially their wings and burgers. Go for the Guzzlers over the pints, it makes more financial sense.

Went there after long day rafting. Service was good but at a slower pace but they advertise that on their menu. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing. I had the cod hero and it was really good. Father in law had turkey club that he really liked. Boneless and regular wings were good. Didn’t order a burger but definitely will next time, they looked awesome! Décor of place is old and not that many TV’s for a «sports bar» but we will definitely go back next time we are rafting.

We went here because of the recommendations on Unilocal. We were greeted in a friendly fashion. There was music playing, and the place was very cold(air conditioner was on high but it was 59 degrees outside). We arrived at 1:05PM. The server returned at 1:25PM to take our order which was(appetizer) pulled pork potato skins,(meal) Philly cheesesteak w/onion rings and(meal) chicken fajitas. Our appetizer arrive at 2:05PM!!! OMG really? yes, really. The appy was okay — not fantastic but the pulled pork was better on its own. We finally got lunch served to us at 2:25PM. The fajitas were disgusting. No flavor whatsoever and the salsa that came with it was sour(spoiled). We kept waiting for the waitress to return to ask us how everything was but we kept waiting and waiting. People were coming and going and yet we just waited and waited. At about 2:45 she returned. I told her that I wasn’t paying for the fajitas per the above and to take it off my bill. At 2:55 she returned with the bill which we paid promptly — $ 29.42 for one appetizer and one cheesesteak sandwich. They charged $ 2.50 for a soda and $ 1.50 for onion rings in lieu of fries which she didn’t say would cost more when we ordered, and $ 1.00 more for mushrooms. The appy was $ 11.00. Crazy prices. Anyway, we finally got out of there at 3:05. Per the receipt, 3:02. TWOHOURS for the worst service we’ve gotten in many years. So bad in fact, we never left a tip — something I’ve never done. But the food was gross, service sucked and prices were outrageous. They had forgotten about us so badly that if we got up and walked out without paying no one would have noticed. TOOBAD because the waitress seemed like a sweetheart.

Very good burger place; nachos were plentiful and had a nice chili base. Came in with the lunch crowd after buying sparklers ;-)

We only went for drinks, and can’t comment on the food except that it looked amazing and the comments from the crowd on a Sunday night were great. Service was fast and friendly, and the local characters made for a great night. If we hadn’t had a load of food back at our motel for a midnight snack we would likely have gorged on wings. No local or any sort of craft beer, but once in a while, Yeungling works just fine, especially in a huge«Guzzler» mug. Friendly bar, even for travellers to stumble upon. Good enough!

Decent place. Whoever said it has a good craft beer menu has no clue what craft beer is. It has absolutely no craft beer. Nothing wrong with it. Decent portions. Decent quality. Good atmosphere. Best part was solid service.

Let me tell you something. I NEVER give a 5 but WOW. This place lived up to the reviews. Packed house, great service great food and reasonable price. Now, I only ordered a salad, chicken fingers, and a thai entre but they were all VERY unique, home made, not processed and the special sauce for the wings… OMG!!! Amazing! Will go back again and again

From the minute you walk in the door you feel right at home. We sat at the bar & was greeted by Joanie the bartender. She was very personable & friendly! We ordered specialty drinks & nachos. These are some of the best nachos I’ve ever eaten! Seriously they are loaded. The portion was so huge we couldn’t finish it! Will def stop in again when I’m in town!

Pretty typical neighborhood sports bar with standard fare: burgers, sandwiches, steaks, pasta, chicken dishes, etc. I’ve tried most of the things on the menu, since I lived in the area for several years, and I was never disappointed by the food. It’s pretty decent, but nothing to write home about, with the exception of the wings. This place has –awesome– wings, with a wide range of flavor options to suit most any palate. I do have to knock off a couple stars for the service, though. It’s very hit-or-miss; sometimes they’re on their game, but sometimes they’re inexplicably slow and inattentive, even when the place is empty. Overall, The Grill is a safe bet, though it helps if you have somebody to talk to while you’re waiting.

The Grill is right off exit 53 on 84 West in Matamoras, Pa. I live in NY, but it isn’t that far from me. Tuesday Night is trivia night with DJ Tony Flash who uses wireless buzzers with a Jeopardy format. On Tuesdays, they have a wing and taco special. Both are quite good as is the food which comes in generous portions. The staff are all kind and attentive and there is never a long wait for your order. You can sit upstairs, downstairs, at the bar or even outside. Trivia night is fun and competitive and up to ten teams can play against each other.
