Great little sandwich shop. I got the turkey avocado sandwich – real pieces of turkey (not processed deli meat) and a delicious avocado spread. Everything on the menu sounded so good that it was tough to order! The only recommendation I would give is to make fresh iced tea instead of the fountain iced tea. It’s just not very good in general.

Great place with the most delicious, fresh, healthy salads in Maryville! Flatbreads and wraps are great too! Have always had good service… can get a little busy at lunchtime.

One of the places I miss in Maryville since moving. I love fresh food with healthy options and that is what you get here. Great family owned restaurant that takes pride in what they do. Loved the sides and the reuben and anything with their awesome turkey. Will be back when I visit!

Great food and selection, great atmosphere, missing 2 stars for service.
I’ve been to this restaurant ~5 times, I’ve had rude front desk workers, rude food runners, been ignored several times, and received the wrong food several times. The owner needs to get involved to fix the service issues or find a new industry.

Cute little sandwich shop in the old Vienna Coffee Company Building. The only thing I ordered was a club sandwich wrap which is normally supposed to be on Texas Toast. The meat was chopped up in it like it was meant for a salad. I will go back but it was nothing to hit home about. There are other sandwich shops in the area that do a better job.

Grinders and Grains has a wonderfully friendly and helpful staff and excellent food. We were there for a birthday and had a large party. We ordered salads, sandwiches (hot & cold), pizzas, and various sides. Everything was homemade and delicious! The staff could not have been more accommodating. And – with our party of more than 20 – our food arrived in a very timely manner. We will go back!

Food was good and we liked the atmosphere. I had the margherita flatbread pizza, nothing that knocked me off of my feet but still pretty good, although odd that it had red sauce. Friend got the cobb salad, it was massive.
I was a little surprised that the prices were as high as they were. I had reviewed the menu online and figured for café food we would be able to get out of there for less than $ 10 at lunchtime. Not so, and for food that really wasn’t anything to write home about, that was a little disappointing.
Because of the prices I would not come back except perhaps for a coffee or something.

Food is great… IF you can get it!
Our entrees had to be returned several times to get them right and I even noticed others having that same problem. We returned a BLT we had specifically asked for no pimento cheese with which was loaded with it. Upon the second attempt guess what the BLT was missing… the bacon!
The problem seemed with the blasé attitude of the kitchen staff. Apparently Grinders and Grains kitchen staff has on blinders with no brains!!!

Ate here today with relatives visiting from out of town. They each had the veggie wrap & I had the chicken-​portabello sandwich. They both said the veggie wrap was great & the veggies looked fresh & delicious. The chicken-​portabello was delicious, & big enough to take some home for dinner. We were too full for dessert but the mint bars & frosted banana bars looked inviting. The staff was friendly & the place has a cool, funky vibe. I’ll definitely go back.
