O’ Bar At O’fallon Brewery

Finally! I’ve been waiting to experience the O’Fallon tap room since I first tasted their Wheach.
I arrived before my friend did and ordered a flight of their various pumpkin beers. The Imperial Pumpkin and original Pumpkin I had previously tasted in bottles, but the Vanilla Pumpkin and Peach Pumpkin were both new and exciting to me. All were delicious straight from the source. I ordered their Harvest salad and it came out right as my friend arrived. I swear it must’ve been a matter of minutes! It had blackberries, strawberries, spiced almonds and goat cheese mixed in with the greens — all perfectly dressed with their house made vinaigrette. I wish I could’ve eaten the whole thing, but it was enormous. Absolutely delicious. It was one of the best salads I’ve had in quite some time.
The bar tender was incredibly friendly and knowledgable about the brewery. We chatted about beer while I waited for my friend to get there. I’m not sure how most people feel about going to places alone, but it always makes me uneasy. His disarming personality definitely put me at ease.
Although I wasn’t too crazy about their shirts (brewery shirts are my passion), I will assume, in time, they will get better. This place was everything I hoped it would be. I’ll be back :)

Loved the food. Service was great. The beer was excellent as always with a few extra brews on tap that I’m sure you could only get from the source. Clean and welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be returning with more friends! Don’t forget to check out the gift shop!

The beer was good, but the service was not great and my medium burger came out well done with cold fries. Had to ask and then wait for ketchup and mustard. Our server seemed to be incapable of taking more than one drink order at a time. I’ll give them another chance, but my first visit was not great.

Ok going into this review, know hat I have never liked their beer. For some reason it does not taste very good. I knew this before walking in, but I wanted to give them a fair shake at the «new» brewery. I tried to keep an open mind and tried the Westport Wheat, and the Red IPA. I was not impressed by either.
I know again the place is new, but there was no personality to it, it was too sterile. Everything looked great, but boring. I did not stay long, find there was nothing there for me. I tried to give a fair chance to them, but was honestly disappointed.

The food was pretty good, the beer was excellent.
For appetizer we had the Candied Pepper bacon (not bad but tasted more like candy than bacon) and the Flash Fried Spinach (very good, maybe a touch greasy and could use a little more Parmesan cheese, but I would get it again).
My husband and I both had the burger. It was very good, loved the real cheddar cheese. Fries were crispy and a little spicy, we enjoyed them. Son had the French Dip and loved it, said the au jus was excellent. The beer was wonderful.
Our only complaint, and the reason we will not be back, it because it is TOO FREAKING LOUD. What is it with these beer joints – iTap, Exit 6 and now O’Fallon – they have concrete floors and bare walls and tin ceilings and the sound bounces around like crazy. Now, at age 55, I may not be the target demographic, but I would love to sit and drink good beer and have good conversation at a normal volume. I left with a headache.

Not five stars cause it’s freaking loud. Good beer great appetizers. Service is good and there is a parking lot.

Met some Business associates there today for lunch I had the French Dip. It was very good. Tender and Tasty. The chips were a bit soggy but considering the humidity today I’ll give it a pass. The others ate a Chicken Spedeni? Not sure on spelling. They said it was good. The server was ok. He was efficient and friendly just inexperienced I would say. 2^nd trip was better than the 1^st. Thats a good thing.

Great beer, average food. Definitely skip on the mac & cheese, it’s grainy and far from the decadence you’d expect.
Establishment was very loud and hard to have a conversation.

The food is great, the beer is great. But I can not give 5 stars because they serve their 5 day IPA in a tulip glass instead of a pint glass. IPA’s should be served in a pint, imperial and doubles should be served in a tulip. I hope they change this soon.
