Holiday Inn Martinsburg

The hotel itself is very nice. It’s fairly updated and comfortable and has a large parking lot. It also has a large indoor heated pool and a small but quality gym room.
The woman working the front desk was kind and efficient –albeit very busy when we checked in. The bed and the room was very comfortable, which is always important!
The only negative was the fact that while check in was 3pm, the room wasn’t available until 4:30pm. This was a bit surprising given the median costs of rooms here. It was fine because we ended up looking around the area for 30 mins while they got the room prepared, but we would have liked to just gone up after our 10 hour drive. The other con of this hotel is that there is NOT a free continental breakfast. I can’t say I’ve been in to many (if any) hotels of this quality that don’t offer anything in the morning complementary. Crappy 1 star hotels even do this! I know they want you to use their restaurant for food, but not offering a cheap bagel and coffee for people rolling out at 7am is just not cool.

We stayed here just one night on our road trip from MA to FL. We had our 2 dogs with us so had to find a place that allowed them, was convenient to our route and was (hopefully) clean, which is always a gamble no matter how much research you do. We were not disappointed. Front desk was very efficient (as in military-​like precision), location of our room was helpful for taking dogs in/​out without hassle, plenty of grassy area for them to sniff and do their business (which we did pick up and discard as responsible pet owners!). Room was modern and bright, spacious enough and very clean. We requested a non-​smoking room and could not detect any odor of smoking either in the room or in the hallway outside. Shower head was a bit low for us (both 6′) and it was loose in the wall but water was hot and pressure was good. Yes we could hear the trucks going by on the highway but they did not interfere with sleep in any way. Free wifi, no free breakfast which was a little disappointing for the base price of $ 104. Would definitely stay here again and since we make this round-​trip annually we hope this place maintains this standard.

We stayed one night here in the hot tub room. It was a real awesome hotel. Very clean, bug free, comfortable, and cute! I don’t like that its so expensive and there is no free breakfast like at most places. They want you to pay for a meal in the restaurant. No big deal though. They have a shines next door. They have an indoor pool, we didn’t use. It’s still nice to know its there. The people eating in the restaurant are above the pool. So any creepy old perv can stare at you swimming without you knowing. The rooms are excellent though! I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone. I wouldnt mind staying here again

When in Martinsburg WV you do not have much to choose from, there is a Hampton which I will never walk into again. a Comfort on the other end of town which is OK, then pay by the hour specials pretty much sums up the rest.
This hotel has always been managed well, priced well, clean, and comfortable. It has an on site restaurant, Heatherfields that is hit and miss, a work out center, an indoor pool, and will accept pets with advance registration.
If I do not stay at HGI in Winchester, I will choose the Holiday Inn in Martinsburg.
I will deduct a star for 2 reasons. Need to update the loud air conditioning and the television sets in the rooms.

Stayed at this hotel in March of 2012 by myself on a business trip.
For Martinsburg it is pretty good. I rented a suite for an extra $ 10/​night. It on the higher price scale for this area but is nicely remodeled.
It has a restaurant on site which is rare for this area. The food was OK but nearby restaurants would be a better choice if you want a finer meal.
Rooms are clean. Staff is helpful and nice.
I will probably stay again during my next visit.

Newly remodled and great location for travelers

We stayed here for a week on our house hunting trip. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were super clean. Indoor swimming pool and they allow pets. It is close to the mall, Wal-​Mart and numerous restaurants. Will stay there again. Didn’t get to try any of the food at the restaurant.

The most disgusting, old people loving, hicks on a special event going, cheesy buffet extravaganza you could ever imagine!
