Supporting local business, and heard good things. It was just ok. The grilled chicken wrapped in rice paper had nice fresh crunchy veggies and crunchy noodles. The chicken was non existent 2 liitle nickel size(I’m not kidding) pieces was very disappointing. If you want a fresh salad in or out of a wrap., thumbs up. If you want some meat on your meal, this isn’t the place. Good smoothie selection

I love Going Green! It is so nice to have a healthy option for take out in town. The ingredients are all fresh and delicious! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The only slightly negative thing I have to say is that they don’t stay open a bit later. It’s a really great place though!

Finally found a place to satisfy my Banh Mi cravings! The bread is good and they load up the sandwich with lots of veggies. I do advise asking for jalapeños ONTHESIDE. I’ve noticed that they don’t remove the seeds from their jalapeño slices and I’ve had a couple volcanic surprises. Their salads turned spring rolls are actually really good. Makes you forget that you’re eating a salad! The restaurant is always very clean and I’ve never had a problem with long waits/lines. All the produce looks and tastes very fresh. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is their Thai Tea. I’ve ordered it a couple times and it was always very bland, as if the tea wasn’t brewed well or too much milk had been added.

Delicious, fresh salads at reasonable prices with homemade dressings. Some other Vietnamese options have been added– sandwiches and grilled plates.

This place is so good!!! You can get any salad put into a rice wrap and its great! Their ginger sesame dressing with the Asian cashew salad wrap is to die for. Try the creamy treat smoothie! I got it but substitute regular milk for almond milk. You wouldn’t think avocado in a smoothie but it’s too good!

Great customer service & all fresh ingredients! I’ve been wanting to try this place since I moved to Martinez & am so glad I finally did! I got the«Green Goddess» smoothie(apple, avocado, kiwi, chia seeds w/almond milk) & really enjoyed it. Also got a «Garden & Chicken» salad w/their house made sesame vinaigrette, so good! Dressing was delicious. I will definitely be back to try more smoothies & salads! Also, they have BOBA!

I really like this place. The staff is really friendly. I have gone during lunch time and after work(5:00PM). It seems that only 1 or 2 people are working at a given time. If you are on a lunch break or in a rush, I recommend calling in your order. The times I have gone, I have ordered the Vietnamese fresh rolls w/extra peanut sauce(I have posted pictures). The Vietnamese rolls are very tasty and huge! The peanut sauce is very tasty as well. I have also tried their boba drinks, Honey Dew and Pina Colada. I wasn’t too crazy about the Honey Dew flavor, but the Pina Colada is pretty good. I decided to switch my order up a few times. I have also tried their Vietnamese(pork) sandwich. It is very, very tasty. The roll is very soft and the sandwich is a pretry good sze. If you want a little kick to your sandwich, I recommend getting it with jalapeños. I did try their Cesar salad with their ginger sesame dressing. I wanted to try the ginger sesame dressing because it has received high Unilocal reviews. For me personally, I wasn’t impressed. I think I will stick to my Vietnamese fresh rolls and Vietnamese sandwich. If you are looking for some tasty and reasonable priced food, I highly recommend this place.

This place delivers on the greens… And not only because they’re named that! It’s because greens are what they focus on, and for good reason. I appreciate a place that is very transparent about their food and what they’re putting in it. Their whole salad display and offerings are laid out right in front. And for their option of choosing and deciding what you want to put in your food – besides their pre-made options – is awesome. Ingredients are fresh, clean, simple and green. They focus mainly on salads and smoothies. Prices are inexpensive and VERY affordable when you want to opt for a quick and healthy lunch. I initially was attracted to this place for their make-your-own Vietnamese wraps. Little did I know this place is run by a few Vietnamese women who also make day-to-day special Vietnamese pork sandwiches/banh-mis! I chose a salad(I went for the garden salad with hard boiled eggs) and asked to turn it into Vietnamese rice paper wraps for an additional .49 cents(white/wheat paper option). You can accompany your salad/wraps with any dressing you want(including housemade dressings!), but I opted for the traditional peanut sauce route. I paired this with a Vietnamese avocado smoothie(my FAVORITE, made with REAL avocado), and it ended up being a light, refreshing and satisfying lunch. The wraps were easy to finish since it was just salad(wish it had more«crunch» and heartiness to it besides just big chunks of lettuce). They also have Vietnamese sandwich wraps, which are your traditional banh-mi style pork/chicken sandwiches wrapped in rice paper. The avocado smoothie was my FAVORITE and left me feeling full and satisfied – oh so creamy and smooooth. They also serve Mr. Oakwood espresso/coffee. I tried their Avocado Coffee smoothie, which sounds unusual but was deliciously smooth, creamy and delivered a fresh drip coffee taste. Overall, GREAT experience. Some of the freshest food that always leaves me feeling satisfied and guilt-free. They make everything on the spot and seems to be a great pick up and go kind of place. It’s in a slightly obscure plaza(a.k.a. who ever comes to Martinez anymore?), but this place delivers. I’m definitely becoming a regular.

I thought it was strange that I got two different smoothies, yet they tasted exactly the same… watered down and flavorless. I also got some spring rolls, then the girl worker apologizes for her poor wrapping skills because she doesn’t do those often. Aren’t you supposed to be able to do «your job» especially when it’s simply wrapping a spring roll? But hey, if you want ice flavor smoothies and taquito style wrapped spring rolls from someone who admits they don’t know what they’re doing, then this is the place to go.

This has got to be my favorite place to get a smoothie. Very appropriately priced, new and fresh menu choices, and a friendly face behind the counter. A Jamba Juice just opened up down the street from here, but I would choose Going Green ten times out of ten. Every time I’ve stepped foot in a Jamba Juice I’ve never left without a ten dollar + hole in my wallet, and always for a decently sugary drink. Getting a smoothie here has somewhat eased my conscience concerning healthy life choices; whether it be my arteries or bank statement.

Was looking for a light and healthy lunch and was pleased to find going green. I ordered the Vietnamese grilled pork wrap. Aside from it taking them awhile to make it was rather good and fresh. I will be coming back.

I have been here 6 times now and I have had fantastic, fresh smoothies every time. The Vietnamese avocado has coffee in it and it feels like you’re drinking a cup of mocha ice cream. Prices are inexpensive($ 3 – 5 for a smoothie, $ 5 – 7 for a salad). Not usually too busy, but there might still be a wait as there’s usually only one person taking orders, preparing the food, and maintaining the shop.

I love this place ! I work not too far from this place and I am so happy that it is close to us. I have tried almost all the smoothies and some from the custom smoothie section as well, I must say that I absolutely like all of them. The salads are pretty awesome, my favorite one is the asian cashew salad and the ceaser salad. The condition of the place is always nice and clean, the employees are attentive and the pricing is not that bad I think it’s worth it.

I was actually surprised this place opened up in a little niche place in Martinez! The ambiance is very asian-like in here. It actually reminds me of a lot of how boba places are set up such as quickly. It is VERY well lit, clean, and vibrant in here. This place is fairly priced, I usually get a chicken salad. They PILEON the toppings here! They also serve smoothies/tea/assorted drinks(like milk tea/slush). *TIP — no longer accepting Contra Costa Employee discounts :(

I can’t say enough great things about«Going Green» on Arnold Drive. I have been there 6 times in the past 2 weeks. The workers there are so friendly and the owner Jacky is such a sweetheart she always makes sure she makes everything exactly as I want it… I’m one of those people who modifies every item lol I’m so hooked. I absolutely love the cashew chicken salad and the fact that everything is homemade. The salad dressings are so light and delicious. I saw avocado coffee on the menu and had to do a double take I tried it and it was the best iced coffee drink I’ve ever had been than any Frap. If you haven’t tried it stop by this week even my husband loves it he gets a salad with spinach, egg, bacon and ranch what guy wouldn’t love those ingredients

I am so glad there is a healthy, fresh alternative to fast food in Martinez! This place makes great salads and smoothies. I had the Cobb salad and sunny shine day smoothie. Both were great. Make sure you give this place a try if you are in the mood for a salad!

I went here last week and I wasn’t that impressed with the salad. I had an Asian Cashew Chicken Salad and it was more lettuce than anything else. The pomegranate and orange dressing was very good and I think that the salad would have been great if I didn’t have to hunt for the goodies. That being said, when the owner came back in she looked at my salad and said«your salad looks like it needs more meat or something.» I politely declined, but appreciated the offer. That being said, I went there at 2:30 in the afternoon. A young girl was working her butt off, alone, and was trying to juggle salad and smoothie orders and make everything. She was very sweet and apologetic and I felt bad for her for being left alone. The décor is great, very clean and bright. I have heard a lot of positive things about this place and maybe I will try it again. The jury is out.

I’ll go with three stars, hoping they can improve over the next few weeks since they’re still new. The décor is nice, clean, and very zen. It’s spacious inside. Boba smoothies were just okay. Expecting a little more, but like I said, maybe they need a little more time to hit their stride. Boba was a little plain. Watermelon boba smoothie didn’t use actual watermelon… The smoothie list is pretty long. That was nice to see. They have a bunch of fresh fruits and veggies sitting out to be blended up. No comment on the salads yet, but they appear to be a good price.

Going Green is appropriately named. it’s isn’t about being vegan, it’s about choices. Jamba Juice isn’t transparent about what’s goes in their product, Going Green is re my recent experience.(just tell them). menu: smoothie boba, smoothies, salads, soups, coffee, teas, et al. drink: relaxation smoothie(reg. 5.09) –banana, brocculi, carrot, celery, kale, yogurt, 16 oz ounce serving. requested no sugar added, none was. tasted natural –really nice smoothie, no sugar crash later. drips: –not smooth sailing. minor glitches. tolerable. good/honest people here –couldn’t understand their chinese, different dialect.(yep, there’s hundreds) no doubt northern. –picked smoothie based on ingredients, not name, much easier. –shop clean, bright, sitting available. 2 thumbs up!

Surrounded by large fast food chains like Carl’s Jr, KFC, Mickey D’s(McDonald’s), and Taco Bell, now stands a jolly green giant… Going Green Deli! The new kid on the block opened less than a week ago and it’s already the buzz of ‘hood boasting fresh ingredients for salads, soups, and smoothies. And we all know — a healthy, balanced diet is key in preventing diseases and infection. It helps control weight and enhances beauty. It also helps promotes healthy body growth and mental health. So today, I was in a healthy mood and thought I’d give their Cobb Salad a try. I must say, they stick to their word. The salad was hearty and stuffed me to the max. Everything in it was fresh and I was particularly thankful that the lettuce was crunchy and without blemish. Check out their menu! I am sure you will see something you like. And if you don’t, with Going Green, you can create your own healthy meal of fruits and vegetable, proteins, carbohydrates, dairy products and dietary fiber. They have a cereal bar with granola and oatmeal, and they also sell protein bars and fresh hard boiled eggs if you need a bit of protein to tie you over until that hot date you’ll be going on later. Their location is in a busy strip mall next Mountain Mikes and are across the street from Lucky’s supermarket. It’s a great little place and there are not a whole lot of fresh«healthy» places around here for a quick lunch without having to stand in line at the grocery store. So go and check them out! I know I will be returning. I have to at least try EVERYTHING on the menu ;-)
