This is my favorite restaurant of all time. I’ve been coming here for almost 3 years now and I have never had a bad experience. The food is absolutely delicious and all of the employees and staff and always so nice. LOVE La Hacienda

This place is excellent! The food is always delicious and the servers are all very nice, they may not speak English, but they’re still sweet! It was so packed for Cinco de Mayo we couldn’t even get in! The ice tea is weak, skip that, but the rest of the food is wonderful. Good atmosphere, too!

Waited for our food for an hour, so we left without getting our food and went someplace else.

The service was wose than taco bell. The waitress took or order, a food runner drooped or food on the table, and we saw no one until we frantically waved down another waitress. No napkins, chips„ salsa. Sucked.

dont waste ur time, we had a bday party in the back by the bar, the bartender and another waitress played with some kid and did not help our waitress at all! terrible terrible management! employees could care less, food was worse than taco bell, rather taco bell all day long than this over priced under managed joint! this is a manager problem entirely! we will never be back! good luck! will steer everybody we know away from this fiasco!

This place in on Lapalco Blvd., a major thoroughfare, in Marrero. The exterior and interior are neat, clean, and of the typical Mexican restaurant design. I ordered the Lunch Special No. 21, which was a beef tamale, a beef flauta, and a beef chili relleno. Simple chips and salsa was the complimentary appetizer. All of the meal was good, but not elaborate. I would return here or recommend it to others. RJT

Great service. Food is delicious. In particularly like the tamales. They also have really good salsa and guess. Highly recommend. Margaritas are tasty and have just the right amount of alcohol. Floor plan sometimes makes it really loud when busy.

We were looking for someplace new, went for a late lunch. Never again. Lots of five-stars for this place but I thought it was pretty bad. Salsa was bland, had a texture like maybe it was just thawed out. Iced tea was watery. My taco salad was a big bunch of uninteresting ground beef, a little lettuce, and big glops of guac, sour cream, and bland cheese. This might sound good to lots of people, but I would have preferred a few more ingredients. Maybe olives, or onions, or peppers. I got down to a big pile of the meat and gave up there. On the other hand, the service was OK and my wife liked her greasy enchilada well enough and you couldn’t fault the size of the servings. Lots of food but I didn’t think it was very good.

Very good Mexican style food at a reasonable price. I have eaten at La Hacienda de Leon quite a few times and have never been disappointed. They serve big portions so you will likely have leftovers to bring home. Table service is always good. Highly recommended if you’re craving good Mexican food.

Way over priced for the food you get. Chips and salsa are good green salsa is good. I did not care for the hacienda salad and I love everything that salad was suppose to have in it — they drowned it in salad dressing and the mushrooms were moldy. The chicken on it was good. The manager just came up and wanted to make it right and told me I should have let him know and wants us to try eating here again so we probably will give them another try.

I love their salsa & margaritas. They are very kid friendly.. As far as the service, it usually isn’t great.

So far it’s my favorite Mexican in new orleans, I still have to try a couple more before i can say it’s the best.

I am a big fan of Mexican Food, Mexican Beer, and Mexican Alcohol… well Mexican Women, too, but that’s besides the point. I have never had an issue with any of my food, and the drinks are great! I just wish the food were a bit cheaper and the bowls of queso dip were a bit larger.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant on the Westbank(best bank). The service is always friendly, accurate and prompt. The food is always consistently great, huge portions and reasonably priced. There is always enough leftovers for lunch the next day. If I have to make a complaint, it would have to be that the portion of lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole and sour cream is very small in proportion to the grilled fajitas that I always order. This is a small error that could easily be corrected if the owners/management would glance at the dinners going out on the floor.

I got here right as they were opening for the day so maybe my fajitas were fresher than the other review but they were excellent. Very flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly so as to retain plenty of juice. It was spiced just right. Not too hot or too bland. I will agree that the chips could be a little better but I thought the salsa was good. Definitely worth a try or a second chance in my opinion.

Yep, I have been wearing this location out with visits. The food quantity and quality is very good. Much like Jennifer B. says in her review, it is the Marrero version. Yeah for us. Authentic, not texmex, Mexican food. If you wanna know more about the selections and pics, just check out that review. I havent had any issues here at all. The serving staff has been quick and friendly. My kids like it alot. The location, if you been here before for Boudreauxs and the place that it originally was, Teaxas Roadhouse, well the interior is still the same. Just has a few Mexican blandishments scattered throughout. Now the huge painting of the buff Mexican guy(which kinda looks like me) makes more sense in this version than it did in the last two places. hehe. I havent had any mixed drinks or margaritas so I cant comment on selection or taste. Come on in and check it out if your burned out on Dos Gringos, El Mexicano, Taco Bell in the Marrero area.

This basically is El Mesquite, but located in Marrero. Same owners, exact same menu(seriously, even the same numbers for menu items, only difference is the name on the cover), and same staff. Since this is closer to my house, I’ll probably go here instead. They don’t seem to be nearly as crowded as El Mesquite either, but that may be because nobody knows it’s here… or because it’s in Marrero… Either way, we visited last week for the first time and had a good experience. Good food, quick service.
