They’re pretty good for doughnuts which is generally what I come here for! They’re just your standard, typical donuts shop. Not the best, but not the worst either. I can say that on Sunday, they get super packed and the drive thru moves snail slow. Never tried any of their other foods, but maybe one day I shall. Overall, good spot for a doughnut craving and sometimes they do have coupons in the paper(haven’t seen those in a while sadly) but that may just mean I shouldn’t be having doughnuts to begin with

This is the worst place on the westbank. I ordered a salad and waited 40 minutes in line for it, along with the person in front of me. Not once to someone walk up to the window and tell me anything about my order. And once I received it, they didn’t even apologize for the wait. All of their food is low quality besides salads and donuts, but I mean how hard is it to mess that up? Every waitress looks confused and there is no order between them and the kitchen. Place sucks, everyone go somewhere else for breakfast and you might actually get it on time!

Donuts are amazing and food is good but service is soooooo slow. Please please don’t ever bother yourself with their drive thru. Literally took 30 minutes to get 2 breakfast sandwiches and the order was still wrong. But their donuts are damn good!

I had no idea this place existed, but I’m happy I found it. This is a pretty cool place they. They have sprinkle doughnuts, waffles, breakfast, lunch, omlettes… they have a lot it’s not just a doughnut place. It actually feels more like a restaurant with more that just sandwiches and burgers. They also have different lunches everyday. The staff wouldn’t stop being so nice to me. They’d ask if I needed anything to eat or drink as I worked on my laptop with my coworker, and suggested some pretty delicious entrees. I had the Hot Coco, a glaze doughnut, and a bowl of crawfish etoufee. It was all amazing. Keep p the good work Joe’s! Did I mention they’re open 24⁄7!

I love this place morning, noon, and night. One of Marrero’s best kept secrets. Great food, friendly staff.

This is a cute little shop that used to be Mackenizes a longgg time ago. When you walk in, the smell is amazing. They have a ton of sweets, specializing in donuts. We stopped here because I wanted another round of beignets before leaving LA, and their sign advertised hot beignets. Unfortunately, they were out. I was a little disappointed. I settled for a turtle and an eclaire. The turtle was okay. The eclaire was pretty good. It was huge. My son doesn’t usually eat donuts, but he had a chocolate one with sprinkles and ate the whole thing so it must’ve been pretty good. I bought my mom a dozen before leaving. She loves buttermilk ones and said they were even better than Coffee & donuts. I’ve also heard their entrees are out of this world so I’m sure I’ll be back next time we’re down there :)

Enjoyed the red velvet donut! Moist and full of flavor. Chocolate covered buttermilk drop was average, needed more chocolate taste. If driving through Marrero I would stop again.

While the donuts are good they are not the best you ever had. If you like weak coffee then you will like theirs. Lunch ordered a hamburger through drive-thru parked on side till ready and they brought it out to my car it had a good taste but fries were too browned you could tell they were cooked twice which is common in restaurant business but the first fry should be just a blanching not a full fry. Second time getting lunch here ordered the specials chicken stew and pot roast. While I cannot vouch for the pot roast as I never tasted it I can tell you the chicken stew is not worth even thinking about skip it really folks don’t waste your money and don’t punish your taste buds. There was about 3 cups of rice ½ cup of gravy too many large cuts of potatoes with skin and eyes still on. The abundance of thyme in the stew was very overwhelming that if there were any other seasonings they were lost by the amount of thyme. One very large chicken breast very dry both in taste and gravy.

You should never have to wait an hour for fried eggs. It wasn’t very busy, we weren’t offered a coffee refill until our food finally came. Slowest service ever, and with only mediocre food, it was so not worth it.

Donuts are very good! Some of the best I’ve eaten. They have some creative flavors. I’ve only had breakfast there, but it’s always very good! Coffee is a pretty weak, though.

It’s not often I give a place 5 stars because no one is perfect, right. But when you have the«ability» to put Krispy Kreme(½ mile) away out of business you’ve got something. I added some photos, but that’s only half of the story. Donuts the size of 45rpm records,(oops, showing my age) but also since the 45 was around these were the best donuts they had anywhere. In the lovely state of Florida, they have s place called«Debbie Does Donuts». A topless donut shop – ask anyone between Orlando and Saint Augustine. That’s what they need to bring in customers. This place in New Orleans doesn’t need to exploit women, they have quality workers that go out of their way to make your experience great, and you breakfast a delight. My worker said«this huge donut has bread that is softer than a Hawaiian roll».m

Did not meet my expectations. Had the crawfish pasta and«fried fish», smh… I thought it would be WAY better. The fish was placed on the pasta and the sauce from the pasta made the fish soggy. It came with lettuce and tomato salad(no dressing) and toast. No part of this meal was seasoned, ESPECIALLYCONSIDERINGTHISISNEWORLEANSANDTHEMEALWASSEAFOODBASED!!! Also the service was unwelcoming. It was a lot of that«you need us we don’t need you» attitude. Never no more! I’ll keep my $ 10.85 next time.

Great food, great prices, and great service. I can always go and enjoy some delicious donuts, or I’ll have something whipped up as a breakfast meal. Always a great choice anytime of the day

Why do I go here? Bacon Maple Logs, that’s why. Yeah it does take some time to get your order if certain servers are working, but oh, well. Our food doesn’t always come up perfect, but they are always willing to fix it. And did I mention the Maple Bacon Log?

My food was good, my husband’s biscuit sandwich was served cold but they did warm it up upon request, doughnuts were beyond amazing! Service was ok… I cannot wait to get back and try something else on the menu… If you are on Barataria, you should try it

I just bought The Apple fritter the size of my truck rim. This thing is screaming 7 miles of non stop cardio. Guess I’ll be running… «Now get in my belly! I’m bigger then you!»

Solid 3.5 No frills BF/Lunch spot in Marrero. Their donuts are everything a donut should be; they have quite an assortment. I am partial to the glazed with chocolate frosting and colorful sprinkles. Have you ever seen a more happy donut? Sat at the bar and had breakfast Sunday.(note: don’t sit at the very end of the bar if you can help it, dish station is right there and pretty loud). The ladies working behind the counter call you«darlin» and make sure your coffee cup is full. I had the pancakes. Can’t go wrong with a short stack of fluffy pancakes! It’s Mardi Gras, so they have Kingcakes right now. They are pretty good, get one! Admittedly, I’ve never had a Kingcake I didn’t like.

Man, I really, really liked this place. First of all, you can build your own omelette, which is nice, and you can order from a large selection of donuts, double nice. You can get a sausage and jalapeño omelette with an apple fritter. The best part though, it’s open 24⁄7 and you can get fancy coffee. Way on down Barataria blvd. if you pass the second Jesus sign, you’ve gone too far.

I would give it 3 ½ stars. I come here alot. Not like the best in Marrero, but it is good and the selection is good. Though a little pricey but when we dont wanna cook and Jakes isnt open and the kids dont feel like Mexican, and we dont feel like going too far… we come here. Usually late in the evening. Everytime I come here, no matter what time of day, I get breakfast. My baby gets pancakes, my 10 year old gets crawfish corn soup and my wife gets the coutry friend steak. Well maybe not everytime, we do stray and try something new, check out my pics, but almost everytime its the same :-) When its take out, I grab the mini burgers(castle burgers) for a party or garage sale. On Sundays i get the donuts,…(Pro tip)… check the paper during the week because there is coupons in there for a dozon donuts for $ 4.99! Instead of $ 7! That is the role this place plays in our eating life. Has something for everyone

Time for a downgrade to 2 stars. My mother was visiting from Canada, and requested that on this visit, she wanted to try beignets. Knowing that Joe’s is right down the street from us, I figured this was a better alternative in the extreme heat than going down to the super touristy Café Du Monde. This was our breakfast stop on Saturday morning. We ordered a little bit of actual food, and then one order of beignets to share at the table. Actually, let me backtrack a little… we came in, and instinctivly went to the counter to order, like one would expect at a coffee/donut shop. They told us to sit down if we were dining in. I figured, ok, great, they have waiter service. even better! After about 7 minutes of waiting, they took our drink order. They were out of apple juice so we got 3 orange juices and I ordered a café au lait(after all, that’s required with beignets in my mind). The OJ came quickly. The café au lait somehow took 10 minutes to make. I was almost ready to scratch the«au lait» and just ask for a regular coffee, but couldn’t find the waitress anywhere until the café au lait finally arrived. It was okay, but I’ve had better just about everywhere. Definitely not worth the wait. My fiancé enjoyed his donuts. The beignets were excellent. The waffle that my mother and my toddler split was exceptionally subpar. It arrived lukewarm at best. My omelet… ugh. I ordered it with cheddar cheese, as you apparently have the choice of cheddar or american. I HATE processed fake slimy cheese. When it finally arrived, it had 2 slices of american on top. Luckily, they weren’t melted at all, so I just picked those off and tossed them to the side of the plate. No cheese for me. Next I discovered the lovely canned mushrooms inside of the omelet. The sausage and bell peppers were seemingly fresh. The egg itself was coated in so much butter that I couldn’t taste anything but butter anyway though. I ate half of it and gave it to the fiancé to finish, as the pool of butter on the plate was a major turn off. At the end of it all, the waitress never came by to collect our payment for the food, so we went to the counter to pay — despite being told not to order at the counter in the first place. Would I come back to Joe’s? Sure, but only for beignets, which will not be a frequent trip. I haven’t found anything else worthy of the exceptional wait time that has apparently become the norm at this establishment.
