I’ve just moved up north and was looking for a friendly place that would a expert job; I found it with Jenni. As I man with a receding hairline, she gave me some options and explained how they flow with my features. Turned out great! I’ll be back.

I got a beautiful haircut today, great service and good discount! Jenni is a wonderful person and a very professional hair stylist, yes, hair stylist. She doesn’t just cut hair she shapes it and treats it. She uses modern technologies and tools in her work. Easy to book online and super cute hair cut with a hair knife! My favorite stylist in the area!

Jenni did my hair several times over a year ago and she did a very good job and was always very pleasant and friendly. I didn’t feel like she pushed products or add ons like other salons would. Her prices are competitive but I felt color was on the same level as going to a larger salon, so for me that was the only downside.

I found Jenni after almost two weeks of searching Unilocal for a hair stylist who had positive reviews for curly or frizzy hair. I have long curly hair that loves to frizz. and can be a nightmare with the wrong cut. For me, that means layers cut a particular way. It also seems to be the one hair type most stylists cannot handle but Jenni CAN!!! Jenni actually listens when you describe what you want for a hair cut. She asked me if I minded if she cut it longer than I was asking as she was concerned about how much it might shrink up — a wise move as my hair comes out about 2 to 3 inches shorter dry when it is cut wet. She also is very good about checking the hair cut after it is dry. For me this is crucial as I have areas where my hair is less curly than other areas. Another place she shines is blow drying and styling. She is the first stylist in ages that I can actually leave the salon and go somewhere without having to redo my hair. Curly frizzy hair cannot be handled the same as straight hair. This means, you cannot move the blow dryer back and forth until hair is 90 percent dry and then smooth it — for curly hair girls that just doesn’t work. We end up with very, very big hair, no back combing needed. A stylist has to get it 50 percent dry or less and then blow each section around a brush. Time consuming but with great results. Jenni knew to do this without my asking. The end result? Terrific easy to manage hair that I get lots of compliments on. Oh and Jenni has been cutting my hair for three years now. And to the two ladies whose hair didn’t grow out well? Jenni is right, asymetrical cuts are extremely high maintenance. You can’t expect it too look good several months later.

I swear I could copy Lauren C.‘s review of Jenni almost word for word! Except I didn’t want a bob. Jenni is super nice and friendly and I loved her one customer/stylist salon. However, her cut was definitely not for me. She used a razor on my hair which left me with frizzy hair, it has taken forever to grow it out! Still on the search for the perfect stylist.

Jenni is a really sweet hair stylist. She’s friendly, talkative, and affordable. But she wasn’t really for me. I specifically wanted an asymmetrical bob. Jenni claimed she could do her favorite haircut on me easily. A few months later, I found my hair unevenly cut, choppy, and embarrassing to wear. I was looking for a hair stylist who could work with Asian hair, and this wasn’t really it.

Jenni is very friendly and it’s easy to schedule a time online on their website. Her salon is inside of Sola Salon Studios, so don’t expect a huge JenniStylez sign. I’m a guy and I asked her to give me a haircut that she thinks would look good, but to not shave it bald. I’ve had hair stylists in the past that observed my face shape or checks out my hair type, head shape, explain what they thought would look good but she just started cutting. Outcome was pretty bad. I have fine hair, so cutting really short makes the scalp more visible. She said she would trim ½ inch on top, but it was more like she left ½ inch on top. I look like a monkey. I gave it some time to get use to it, but it just looks like I tried cutting it myself with a clipper. For $ 30, I’ll try elsewhere.

I’ve gone to Jenni twice now and each time has been great. I’m very low maintenance when it comes to my hair — most days, I’m lucky if I remember to brush. I first found Jenni via Lifebooker. Now, for all my deal lovin’ Unilocalers… you know how sometimes you get that«feeling» that the merchant who created the deal to drive business isn’t that happy that you bought it and are now redeeming said deal? I didn’t get an iota of that with Jenni. I really liked that she seems like a genuinely friendly gal who gets what you want and delivers. I’m in and out in under and hour and my cut easily lasts two months. She takes 20% off if you book your next appointment after your cut. Thanks for Nette T for the tip :)
