To me, Orvis is kind of a mix between Filson, L.L. Bean and Lands End. I don’t see many Orvis brick’n’mortars so it is nice to have this store in Marlton. Though, they seem to offer a lot more variety on-​line. I find that some of the items are overpriced and my wallet is much happier at L.L. Bean. Orvis almost never has any substantial sales that appeal to me. As a vertically challenged person, they have a nice selection (on-​line) of hip-​length style jackets that a short person can appreciate (good quality, especially the wool/​waxed canvas offerings). The sweaters are fantastic, just a little more than I would like to spend. They do offer some nice fishing gear. The store associates have always been friendly/​helpful here. I just find myself doing more browsing than buying at Orvis.

Excellent help and customer service. I went in looking to get a new rod and could not have been more please with my experience. I went back a week later for some new waders and had another great experience. My new favorite place!
