Anyone who has lived, or lives, in Marlboro knows Marlboro Pizza. Homemade flavors, good family people, quick reliable service… good place for a quick bite or to feed your whole family. You know a place is solid when they’ve been in business here this long… multiple generations of families have enjoyed their food, and will continue to in years to come.

The reason for 5 stars is that if you can get them to cook a plain extra large pizza with extra cheese just right, the oil will run down you arm and settle by your elbow just like it use to be in Brooklyn all those years ago ! The quality of the ingredients are superb — the sauce is just right — and with the plethora of pizza joints in NJ, this place is the best for old school pizza. It has been consistently good for 30+ years — wish they still had coupons, but this is my go to place in Monmouth county.

Love it here! Marlboro pizza is definitely my go-to pizza when I go home to visit my parents. We have been ordering from here for years and it’s always great! Definitely the best pizza in the area– pricing is competitive and food is better than anywhere else. Try the pizza(ANY kind) and the penne vodka! I highly recommend coming here if you haven’t already

As a transplanted NYC’er I keep looking for the best replacement for what I crave(thin crust, large slices, slightly oily, excellent sauce and ample cheese). This place is ok. The longer I live out here I feel my standards drop(yeah boo hiss snobby NY attitude) for pizza(there are plenty good if not better choices for other food types here). Pizza here is either too soggy on the plain or two bready and thick on the speciality slices. The service is inconsistent. At the counter Tell them that the thick slices they reheated are not hot enough(for the same amount of time as he slightly soggy thin crust I might add) and they will stare at you as if you had three heads and not one of your heads knows the slightest about how to prepare pizza. Dusals side(sit down service) have always been very friendly and accommodating. Italian food aside from pizza is nothing to get excited about. On the plus side I have never waited for a table nor long for counter service or seating on the pizza side. Negatives include no delivery and a probable increase in foot traffic as they have outlasted the cross the street pizza place(La Piazza) which recently closed down.

Marlboro pizza is one of my favorite pizza places ever. It offers a wide variety of food items on the menu, it service fresh and delicious food. I have been ordering pizza, pasta, soup and salad at least once a week for over a year and a half. I love it and my family love it too. It is a great catering choice when I have family get togethers, because of its convenient location(off route 79), quick service(my order is ready with less that 15 to 35 minutes depending on the size of my order) and high quality delicious pizza and food. The staff is very friendly and kind. I highly recommend Marlboro pizza

Whenever I’m home visiting, this is one of my favorite local spots to grab a takeout pizza. Great fresh pizza with the right amount of cheese and tomato sauce with a good crust(not thin but not too thick either). If I’m feelinga bit more ambitious, I’ll go with the meatball pizza or the chicken parm hero which are both fantastic. The staff is very friendly and I always feel at home whenever I walk in. They have seating on the right side when you first walk in towards the front of the restaurant.

I’m Italian and live for my grandmother’s Sunday gravy. However, if you are looking for exceptional Italian food, I promise you Marlboro Pizza is the place to go. Everything on the menu is made fresh to your order. I’ve ordered a variety of menu items such as baked clams, parm heroes, baked ziti, gnocchi, pizza(of course), and many other items. All of my meals have been nothing less than the very best and of the highest quality. The best part is, if you just simply are in the mood for a dish of macaroni, Marlboro Pizza is available at your convenience whether you want to take it to go, sit in the pizzeria, or be served in their restaurant Dusals. Dusals is BYOB which is also a plus. The service is friendly and approachable. The location and parking is convenient Oh and did I mention they are open until 11pm!

Good pizza but the takeout pizza has been bad lately. Always looks like it was rushed out of the oven with either too much cheese/sauce or too little crust. The result is a pie that resembles more soup than pizza; cheese swirled all over, toppings and cheese/sauce sliding off when you try to lift up a slice. Have had this experience multiple times over the past 6 months and came close to finally complaining the last time but shrugged it off. Will go elsewhere for our next pie.

Not sure what the hype is. Pizza is soggy! And the pizza that was precooked had flies buzzing around it. Location is conveniently located in a strip mall at the corner of 520 and 79. Much better options nearby.

There is nothing worse, when it comes to pizza, than eating day-old pizza at 5PM! This place has the nerve to sell pizza-by-the-slice that is that old! The cheese was molted and the crust was burned. YUCK!!!

I was told that this was one of the best pizza places in the area, so I had to try it. I ordered a pie there a few weeks ago and was initially not impressed. I decided to give Dusal’s another try recently and was unfortunately disappointed again. The pizza was very soggy and more oily then it should be. I’m not sure if these 2 instances were just random, but other pizza places that go to are much more consistent with their food.

I will give the place the credit where it is due. They food is pretty tasty. I definitely recommend the ceasar chicken cheesesteak. There are two things that irk me about this place though: First, I have been coming here for 18 years and still no hello from the owner – just a dirty stare, and second, they do not deliver.

Good pizza been going there for years and never really had a bad meal. Their subs are good especially the chicken parm and cheese steaks. Once in a while I sit in the dining room and the service is ok.

I have been eating at Marlboro Pizza for 25+ years(moved to the area in 1972, not sure exactly when they opened). To be fair, I pretty much stick to plain slices and Sicilian slices which, for the most part, have been outstanding. When conditions are right, they create a pretty much perfect pizza. However, in the last few years they have become very inconsistent. The slices are often soggy and oily, not the crisp perfection you come to expect. When I stop in mid-afternoon on a Saturday or Sunday, I almost always find the tables all dirty and need to clean them myself. Dealing with the staff is a bit like the soup episode of Seinfeld. They are very dry, not particularly friendly. So in summary, they still have the ability to deliver a perfect slice, but have become somewhat lazy and inconsistent.

Chicken Dusal entrée is our favorite. Boneless and pounded-thin chicken breast, with ham and mozzarella in a brown sauce with mushrooms. Juicy and delicious! Their prices are so reasonable — not just quantity(big portion) but quality Italian food. This entrée-$ 16.95-comes with a nice salad and hot and tasty crusty bread and butter. Pasta dishes are so inexpensive and also very good(Dusal’s meatballs are excellent!!) BYOB and friendly servers. We come here a lot. Consistently good!

Absolutely the best pizza place in monmouth county. Tons of pizza choices, all fresh and ready for you. Nothing ever sits to long. The staff and the owners themselves are friendly… I always compare new places to them and seriously noone comes close… The only complaint if you want to consider it one is they are always busy. To me though thats a great sign of a good place.

Grew up eating pizza here. The calzones are terrific, and the sicilian is amazing. The make the pizza right in front of you, so you know it’s fresh. Friendly owners, great Jersey pizza, what more could you want?

Delicious pizza, exquisite service(even on takeouts), personable staff and centralised location! What more could you ask for? It is no wonder this spot is a favorite among locals, sports teams and travelers! I grew up coming to this pizzeria after every soccer game. Imagine my delight when I returned home to visit and this place was still there, still hosting a soccer team, with some familiar faces all grown up behind the desk. We always order a large cheese pizza, extra crispy, an Italian sub with the works and chicken parm to go. EXCELLENT. The pizza is perfectly prepared– just the right amount of crust to sauce ratio, with delicious cheese on top. Everything is fresh and prepared to order. The Chicken Parm is delightful. Juicy chicken with a yummy crust covered in cheese and sauce. Delicious! The prices are higher than others, but worth it for this delicious pizza. Everytime I am in the area, I order a pie to go. (P.S.: Happy 200th Review to Me!!)

We wanted to get some pizza fast, we were starving! I read the reviews for Marlboro pizza and thought I had to try this place and it is close by, easy pick-up. We went in and we were impressed with the variety of pizza slices you can order. The people behind the counter seemed really nice. The atmosphere was very casual. It was a little expensive for three pizzas I have to say. One cheese, one pepperoni and one sausage, almost 50.00. That is a lot. Maybe if we ate this at the place, it might of tasted better. We did pick it up in the fifteen minutes they quoted us, so it did not sit around. The pizza looked good. Taste was something else. They were generous with the toppings, no complaints there. The pizza was very dry and the crust was chewy. I had one piece and I lost interest. Hubs felt the same, he wasn’t crazy about it either. I am still sticking by Stephanos in Freehold as the to go to pizza. I would stop by Marlboro for a slice when I am in the mood for pizza out of convenience.

What kind of pizza place does not serve beer? One I usually will never go back to … except for this pizza place. The experience was that good that a soda in place of beer did not lead to a one star review. The pizza is fantastic for a suburban business set amidst a strip mall. The big guy manager(4u) was very friendly. This is a place that lets you see the guy make the pizza right in front of your face — I love being able to see my food prepared. I watched him put the sauce and cheese and everything on. It was glorious. The pizza is very good. Tasty. Not super greasy. Fold it up and eat it! I felt ashamed we could not finish the pizza and I had to ask for a to go box — as a compliment it was sooooo good it was coming home with me rather than going into the trashcan!
